It is like the Leonard Cohen song “First we take Manhattan, then we take Berlin”, only Berlin, the rest of Germany, France, Austria and perhaps Spain were taken long ago.

If there was a public report by a news outlet that a particular individual was the person who set pipe bombs outside the RNC and DNC on Jan 6 …

And I was a senior official at the USCP, FBI, DOJ, or FBI – the person’s current employer – and I knew from a comprehensive investigation already complete that the news outlet’s report was factually WRONG …

I’d be tempted to put out a one sentence refutation of the news outlet to clear my employee’s name – if I was 100% certain that the report was erroneous.
