    1. Actually, this was textbook grooming gang behavior. They’ll secure the female and then, immediately attempt to intimidate the family. I don’t think their visit to the residence has as much to do with theft as it did with intimidation.

      This was the process used by the Rotherham Grooming Gangs in the UK.

      -Threats of violence, including threats to other family members.
      -Terrorising and isolating victims to fill them with fear.
      -Exploiting victims’ fears that they wouldn’t be believed if they spoke out, a reality reinforced by the inaction of authorities for years.

      1) do we have the RIGHT to defend our lives in our own homes? The #Lieberal answer is NO, we don’t. Self defense is a privilege accorded to the wealthy and well connected.

      2) do we have the right to own and protect our property? The #Lieberal answer is NO, we don’t. There is nothing you have outside your own body that cannot be taxed away or expropriated at whim of government. You cannot protect your property from criminals because… well no reason really, you just can’t. Shut up and pay your taxes.

      The Conservative answer, to date, is also NO. They’re just proposing to be a little more “reasonable” about it. I am not filled with righteous zeal to support “reasonable” from the likes of Mr. Polievre.

      I’m more in the mood for some government people getting fired and going to jail for f-ing with us citizens of Canada the way they are. Like how about YES your house belongs to you no matter what taxes may come, and YES if somebody attacks you and you fight them off, you were right to do that and the cops can suck it if they don’t like it. That’s a platform I can support.

      Having people take individual Responsibility for one’s acts or omission to act is rooted in the Old Testament. As is the concept of the (Crown and agents thereof) government’s obligation to serve the people and lose their legitimacy when failing to do so. Rights and Responsibilities leads from the self government of individuals to the self-government of the nation-state.

      Note that no political party in parliament, nor in any legislature publicly defends the foundational beliefs of Canada, British Liberty and Western Civilization, formerly referred to as Christendom.

  8. Incompetence or Purposeful Ignorance?

    This is how I know your Ontario Prosecutor and Police Department are going through the motions, but not truly applying the law.

    The victim was shot by the 12 year old. The reason the 12 year old had the firearm is obvious. He’s a minor and not subject to the same penalties. This shows preconceived determination. So, a good prosecutor or police officer would inquire from the 12 year old…”Who gave you the gun?” Any 12 year old in that situation is going to tell them. And, that person, being an adult is now subject to Conspiracy 465 (1) (under the Canadian Criminal Code). Conspiracy to commit murder holds the same penalties that someone pulling the actual trigger gets. There were no charges levied for “Conspiracy to Commit Murder”. That tells me your prosecution is Incompetent or Purposefully Ignorant.

  9. Here on the prairie, especially rural, flyover country, when seconds count, police might be hours or even days away. If our betters in government are so hell-bent on criminalizing the victim’s actions, should not the police be abundant and always nearby to intervene? Hate to use a buzz phrase of the left, but the mystical “social contract” would demand no less. By ceding even more of our liberties to big government, nothing compels them to protect the crumbs that remain. We’re only one small step away from widespread vigilante justice, something I feel more kinship with than the RCMP and other law enforcement. It seems to me that the current mission of any direct or indirectly funded government organization is to go far out of their way in either not doing or avoiding doing what they were originally established to do. (Think: public “service” workers, teacher and nurses unions and of course our once vaunted RCMP.) And each and every one of them will threaten to strike if you don’t give them more time off. It boggles my mind as I’ve spent 38 of my 60 years in self employment where if anything, I work more hours than when I started out. Couple all of the above with a lazy, MSM addicted populus, rampant immigration from those $hitholes Trump warned us about, in very short order it will be curtains for Canada.
