We can rise up and kill them all whenever we choose. I guess people haven’t had enough of their shit yet. That and an awful lot of your neighbours are happy with things just the way they are.
There are nonviolent ways to protest governments, although in Canada the political overreaction to the freedom convoy has severely limited that form of protest. Provincial governments could imbed protection from coerced medical procedures into their human rights legislation and labor code laws, for instance.
On a personal level, just refuse to submit to human rights abuses. Our plan is to leave Canada and secure a second citizenship for our kids. Never again do we want to be trapped in our own country by draconian government laws that prevented the unvaccinated from leaving the country (unless you were rich enough to charter a private plane).
I’m not vaccinated for Covid. It was hit or miss whether my employer was going to put up with it or not. In the end they went with twice weekly testing for those who refused. They needed us more than we needed them. I made a donation to the convoy, and when they started freezing bank accounts I went and took as much cash out of my account as I could afford to. It would have allowed me to live for 6 months until sanity returned if need be.
We already have legal protection against being forced to take part in medical experiments. It’s not for lack of a law that we were treated like shit, they did it because they could get away with it. Law is meaningless when society starts to break down and no one respects the rules anymore, which is the stage that we’re at. My kids will likely emigrate when they start their careers and I’m good with that, but there is no running away. When we had Harper and the US had Obama we were better off than they were and the US is 3 and a half years away from a greater than 50 percent chance of being back to having a Dem president.
You can fix where you live or order your life so politics don’t matter to you.
We were on that page too, at the height of the madness, but now being retired, have to consider what that looks like elsewhere, specifically the medical system elsewhere vs the sad excuse of a system here.
If you are a generation younger “with kids” then yes, find that other country. For us, that would have been Mexico despite its warts. It’s relatively easy to get the Residence permit. Still, security concerns are real there.
It’s getting more difficult to find a country that isn’t going to be affected by new health/vax passports like the EU. Yes, that’s happening. Besides, the EU has many other bad policies and civil unrest that you don’t want to be a part of. Just look at the efforts to get rid of Le Pen, and Orban, TPTB will not cease until they get their complete unelected dictatorship of the EU.
SE Asia? If you can tolerate the heat and humidity, and poverty.
Aus or NZ? No way, police states, as bad as here if not worse.
Africa? Fuhgeddaboudit.
Uruguay seems another favourite, though there’s language barriers.
The world has gotten much smaller, many countries went full totalitarian, and wouldn’t hesitate to do it all over again. Like many stated here, the draconian Covid measures destroyed any loyalty I had here too.
Not sure the US is the Utopian either, but relocating to a solid Red State is not a bad choice. Florida, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas. Not Texas though. Best of luck.
My husband isn’t a Canadian citizen so it’s a bit easier for us. We will work with an immigration lawyer to get the paperwork done and move the application through the system. We have a 2 year timeline before we plan to leave so hopefully all will be in order by then. We will need to move to Montana for a while to be close to my elderly parents in Alberta.
Uruguay and Mexico (we go there regularly anyway) are two of the countries on our retirement list. We’ll have to do a bit of travelling and check out countries that look interesting. My husband speaks a bit of Spanish so that helps.

I wish someone would point out that the vaccine mandates were a violation of the Nuremberg Code. It was talked about briefly during the pandemic and quickly denied by the government and media. But their denials are without substance. The claim was it was not a violation of the Code because the vaccines were approved by Health Canada. What garbage. That’s like saying the German medical experiments in WW2 were ok because government approved them. At some point there needs to be a price to pay for the Canadian government’s and medical establishment’s abuse of human rights. So far that has not happened and the courts have agreed to look the other way.
The two decisions, when taken in context, are offensive in the overlap.
In essence, they can extort you to take experimental “approved” shots, or else they can financially destroy you.
And, if you die from said shots, forced on you, that’s YOUR fault for dying, not theirs.
It’s Grotesque and makes no sense. Those are our courts today.
Remember, the SC called the decision MOOT, in regards to the travel ban, planes and trains, because the “crisis” was over. A sickening, cowardly decision that resolved absolutely nothing.
The Star Chamber controls all. The Charter is just wet toilet paper, the gov can roll over anybody at anytime for any reason, and point to Sec1 as their reason. Nobody has any rights to anything in Canada and it’s time that’s fully understood, as the So-Called Charter stands today. This country is a Facade.
In a similar manner to watching 6 years old boys pull the legs of spiders in order to see how many can be torn off and observe that the spider can no longer walk away, I’m curious as to what else the “you must accept that which we mandate” and “we’re not responsible if this doesn’t work out for you” can be applied to Canadian society.
With the type of decisions being made by the Canadian courts, where is the line that governments and employers can not cross? To me, it looks like there isn’t any limits. Expect these legal precedents to be used and expanded the next time the government declares a crisis and invokes emergency powers.
The fascism will continue until the morale improves. When civil war breaks out it’s usually the Judges that are the first to go.

Look at how courts in different locations produce wildly different decisions. After 200 years in the pursuit of justice, how is it that there isn’t even the illusion of universal consistent judicial decisions? Law and Justice must obviously be two entirely different things.
