If you want an example of the CBC’s bias, and why the organization needs to be defunded, take a look at its coverage of the Montreal riots tonight.
Unlike CTV and the Montreal Gazette, CBC conspicuously omitted any mention of the fact that the rioters were pro-Palestinian activists. I guess they wanted to spare the Palestinian cause any bad press.

The cbc takes its marching orders from the PMO.
Trudeau has kissed Islamic (_i_) since day 1…
No surprise…
Steakman … for anatomical accuracy u need to use an exclamation mark and not an i 😉
The “i” is not supposed to represent the TURD’s anatomy! 😉
That would be a ,
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall …
+++K……I used that reference many years ago.
I’m not sure what Adam is taking about since the article literally says:
“The Divest for Palestine collective and anti-capitalist group CLAC organized the protest near Place des Arts, according to a post on Instagram.
“While this military alliance, which profits from the genocide in Palestine, meets, let our voices echo throughout the city,” the caption reads.”
Sure, defund the CBC, but the immediate threat is from the “protesters (who) threw fireworks (?) and assaulted police officers”. The “protesters” are living in a country that is protected from the bad guys by NATO. Are they also pro Russian and Chinese? Is CSIS watching to see who these terrorists are and where they live?
Too bad PP has already said that he will not defund CBC in Quebec.
Back to voting none of the above.
If PP can join the US in leaving the climate discord and axe equalization, it would be good to let Quebec wallow in its own filth until they’ve had enough.
he can cut the funding to 10% and watch them starve
If he can’t cut CBC totally he isn’t worth a check mark on a ballot.
As I said from the very beginning of PP’s rise to opposition leader: He is a far better alternative to what is in the PMO right now, but HE IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED.
So let’s not give PP a blank check when we next vote.
I believe Poilievre specifically said Radio Canada in Quebec, which I’ve heard is a different cultural entity.
I am all for defunding the CBC, but it is my understanding (and I am willing to be corrected) that Radio Canada actually balances its books and is actually “listened to” radio.
It is also my understanding that only 4% of the Canadian population watches CBC English television. My “brother from another mother” claims that CBC produces a lot of sitcoms which are purchased overseas. He cited “Little Mosque on the Prairie” (which was total crap in my opinion) and Murdoch Mysteries (which originated on another station and then after its worldwide success was purchased by CBC). I cut out cable about 3-4 years ago and so my information may be out of date.
Yes, the CBC French service was established to provide radio and tv to French Canada. It is thus in striking contrast to the English service, which was established in communities that already had radio and tv, in an attempt to make them watch something différent. The French service has a legitimacy that the English has always lacked. It is central to public life in Quebec in a way that’s hard to imagine here.
“Too bad PP has already said that he will not defund CBC in Quebec.

Voting PPC at least sends a message to the CPC: you *could have* had my vote if you weren’t Liberal Lite.
NDP/Liberal racist Party voters are filled with hate and getting exactly what they want from their vote. The average canadian left wing voter would be out there with these punks if they weren’t old and fat like my in-laws…
Meanwhile
PM Swiffer was in Toronto trying desperately to be noticed by Taylor Swift in his effort to increase his vote share of sixteen year old girls.
PMO staff have of course taken safe guards to have chaperones in place to avoid any difficulties such as the ones that took place at West Point Grey Academy. Baring that unsigned undated NDA’s have been written should the need arise
You don’t very often see a person “swooning” anymore,
let alone the so-called leader of a country.
Is what CBC is doing misinformation or disinformation? Because it certainly isn’t reporting the news the way it actually happened. Zero professional ethics anywhere in that public corporation. Defunding the organization can’t happen soon enough.
Perhaps the CBC employees are hoping that middle eastern investors will buy the soon to be defunded CBC by showcasing their ability to be shameless propagandists? /s
Ah, they got Al the Zero for that.
CBC is like Wally from Dilbert, useless, but won’t admit the truth.
You have to wonder how anyone who works at the CBC can look at themselves in the mirror without feeling immense shame.
Socialists don’t feel any shame.
Probably but I’d expand that and say that it is people without a strong personal code of ethics, principles or integrity who feel no shame.
This would explain why advertisers, political pundits and analysts haven’t boycotted the CBC. Self righteous blowhards on places like X-twitter but lacking the resolve to put words into action. Paycheck over principles, I suppose.
MALinformation!
Lying by omission is still lying.
I guess that many were wearing keffiyehs just to stay warm.
It’s +6C in Montreal today. They’re already warm.
LMAO…Instapundit (Ed Driscoll) calls Trudeau….”Zoolander.”
It fits…well.
Official Narrative: Anti-NATO protesters, not Hamas Pride.
Anti-NATO meaning they will be blaming this on Russia.
Wait for it……
