  1. So we have a huge surplus of natural gas and a dearth of grid capacity considering Jacobin and Bolshevik mandates and regulations regarding electrification of everything. Being the deranged Dominion, I guess that makes sense. The climate Spawn knows best.

  2. Southern BC is about the only territory in all of Canada where heat pumps just might work all winter.

    1. If BC has enough electricity.

Drought meant BC Hydro had to import 20% of its electricity in 2023

    2. “Southern BC is about the only territory in all of Canada where heat pumps just might work all winter.”

Yes, mild weather is a big advantage when it comes to heat pumps. Anywhere that it gets well below freezing on a regular basis is not a great environment for heat pumps, although you can mitigate this somewhat by spending more money on a larger/better unit (and they aren’t cheap to begin with).

  3. Buying the Lower Mainland and Victoria vote.
At least the junkies will be warm.

  4. And it’s not even an election year.. What will he come up with next year? Is he going to deny having knowledge of yet another province being singled out for special treatment/funding?

    1. It’s an election year in BC and the Spawn knows that if he hopes to ever return to power it will only be through the mindless block of NDP voters that he sees as his Party now. He considers himself Canada’s first NDP PM (too bad his father beat him to it). The Island and Lower Mainland is a cesspool of NDP voters.

      1. BC is schizophrenic.
Federally, 338canada shows a CPC Landslide, literally, the Trudopians and the Singhs get 1 seat each, projected.
Provincially, it shows a solid NDP majority, however, recent polling show the BC Cons showing strongly, one poll had them on top, however, their voting intentions arent efficient, strong in the interior, and on the coast, confusion with the UnitedLiberalSocreds, also known as NDP LITE.
Falcon needs to realize that the needs for BC are greater than his own personal, failing leadership.
Goal #1 is to rid the province of this horrible, ideologically rigid socialist horde.

        1. That’s a big part of why I don’t live there anymore. Albertan for over 20 years now. We’ve had our bad votes, but not at the moment (to my pleasant surprise).

        2. DanBC, my vote/donations are going to John Rustad and the BC Conservatives. After decades of ping-ponging between the communists and the corrupt Socred/BC Lib/”United” Uniparty, I want a clean break and a new start.

If the NDP get in again, they WILL hand the entire province over to the natives. They’ve already tried, have had some success in the Charlottes, and Eby is determined to make this his legacy.

  5. I think we are going to the polls sooner than people realize. The economy is falling off a cliff right now, here and in the US, it will only get worse for the wretched spawn of the pig.

    1. “I think we are going to the polls sooner than people realize. ”

If Trudeau had the balls for it, maybe…but I doubt it. I think he’ll hang on and pray for an economic miracle, then resign if he doesn’t get one in time.

      1. Turdeau having balls, thanks for the laugh!

No the turdmeister will cling onto power as long as he possibly can. My guess is that he wants to be the last PM of a united Canada, and is trying to drive the country to fragment. After all, who could follow someone with such incredible taste in socks? (no, I don’t mean foot fetishists on Facebook. If you thought that, you’re weird. Although, if no one thought that, I guess that means I’m weird for bringing it up. Hmm….)

  6. Another $104 million to the pile of Trudeau debt…

I wonder if the doctrine of odious debts is available

  7. Some more special than others. Coast areas, voting strongholds, vs the makers vs takers.

Country is really in some trouble, my opinion. Aaaargh.

  8. Even if ‘subsidized’, why fix what’s not broken ?

Lower mainland BC is a perfect fit for a 50 y.o. gas hot air furnace.
A $12 thermocouple every twenty years, a blower come summer, heat in 5 minutes come winter, filtered air, a mercury thermostat that needs no programming.
    What’s not to like ?

Subsidizing electric heat exchangers for those with electric baseboard heat might make more cents.

  9. Anyone I know here in northern BC with a heat pump has a higher electric bill than the natural gas bill they would have had. They also have a woodstove because heat pumps are useless below about -5. Even the guy who installs them recommends against them.

  10. I live an hour outside Kamloops. We usually have 2 cold snaps per year, getting down to at least -20C. Once, it hit -30C. Heat pumps won’t work here.

Besides, anything that any “gov’t” pushes, especially THIS hard, is nothing I want.
