  1. .As Fred Flintstone said “I don’t know what the artist got for those paintings but it should have been life”

  2. I have fewer issues w/ the art than I do w/ the leading professional photo in the article. The pose/clothing/styling is completely & entirely unflattering to the artist. She looks like one big, solid block. Scroll down to the snapshot of her in the black dress, she doesn’t look nearly as massive.

That said, I’ve seen far worse “art” in corporate environments. Hers is at least tolerable.

  3. I’m a friend of Billie Rae. She’s been doing pretty amazing work and getting some well-deserved recognition. She’s also a really sweet and decent person.

I’m not sure why the comments above need to be so negative.

    1. Read my comment again. My criticism wasn’t directed at Billie Rae. It was directed to the PR photographer.

  4. I kept waiting for the article to bring up that she is a member of some new wave “identity”, or protected class. How refreshing that it didn’t!

  5. My gawd she even mentions her father AND his perspective of her work. What normal decent planet does she come from? Oh, Saskatchewan.
The art’s nice too so… good for her.
