    1. Watcher
I read a credible report that was/is similar in tone to your linked piece.
Also, he was set up by the FBI, like the jan 6 crowd was. There is far more to this than meets the eye!

  1. Gun control nuts must be happy that one of the worst arms dealers in the world has been released.
Have Zoolander’s media fans figured out that aspect of it yet?

    1. @Stan – not to mention the “felons” that still languish for years in US prisons for marijuana offences including some for possession. Misplaced priorities + hypocrisy = Progressive Globalist leadership.

      1. The US prison and justice system is a huge money making machine for the governments.
I forget the exact number but they have millions incarcerated, many for very minor offences

        1. Just curious: Where does the government income come from? There may be a huge profit to private prison companies, but for the government it’s all expense.

        2. Don’t forget many seemingly “minor offenses” are the result of pleading down from major charges for serious offenses to avoid trial and much longer sentences. So, yes, in a way. all about the time and the money.

      2. A lot of those are violent dealers and criminals “languishing” as a result of plea deals, with lesser sentences than their original charges would have brought.

        1. Certainly that’s true, and yet it still doesn’t change the conviction that is “on the books” which then is cherry picked by the Biden Administration.

Possibly the Russians had minimized Grinders actual sentencing (by their laws) for some some technical reason? Is she legally more or less guilty due to an accepted plea deal?

        2. I bet you would find that the text of their plea deals identifies all of their “non-violent possession” activities in the street level drug dealing arena.

          1. Well I suppose there could be an entire separate thread debating plea deals. Undoubtedly there are unscrupulous offers by corrupted DA’s, see Chicago, and there is a point of diminishing returns when plea deals aren’t worth the paper that they were written on if they don’t offer benefits. Like avoiding turning possession charges into trafficking charges unless you take the deal.

Anyway I’m not here to protect the Biden Administration or the crappy deal they just gave Americans & the greater world yet again.

  2. Funny how people who got out of their way to tell you how awful it is in the U.S. always seem glad to come back.
Just another one of life’s mysteries.

  3. Who is Paul Whelan?

    https://gunfreezone.net/on-the-biden-prisoner-swap/

They are critical of Biden for not bringing back “United States Marine Paul Whelan.” Let’s talk about Whelan. He was a Marine and did serve in Iraq. While he was there he embezzled over $10,000 from the government and created a fake officer’s account to create dummy positive performance reviews for himself. He was court martial, found guilty, and was given a bad conduct discharge.

  4. The author, Daniel Greenfield: “Whether we like it or not, we’re in a war and it’s time we recognized that hard reality.”
    He reminds me of me.

  5. It would be interesting to see the stats of American citizens sitting in sh*thole foreign prisons around the world for drug possession or trafficking that receive no sympathy from the Biden Administration.

Again not a defence of drug dealers or criminals here.

  6. There Were 17 Americans in Russian Prisons. Only 1 Mattered to the Left
Unfortunately, they’re all the wrong race, sexuality or gender.

    https://www.frontpagemag.com/there-were-17-americans-in-russian-prisons-only-1-mattered-to-the-left/

“This summer, Butler native Marc Fogel was sentenced to 14 years in a maximum security prison after he was caught with 17 grams of medical marijuana for a spine condition.”

Britney Greiner was not a one-off political arrest. Russia does not mess around with marijuana. 1/2 oz and Marc Fogel gets 14 years. How many Canadians are rotting in Russian prisons too?

    1. ” How many Canadians are rotting in Russian prisons too?”

Maybe 30 who happen to be greenpeace activists? (not sure how many are Canadian)

  7. Whether you’re an incompetent press secretary, next SCOTUS justice, cackling VP, weird underwear thief, idiot who smuggled drugs into Russia, check the right boxes, get the the job or a pass.

  8. Watcher and RD make excellent points about the arms dealer and ex-marine. It doesn’t take away from the story that Biden made a political decision to choose a left wing lesbian who hates America.

    1. Greiner the man er lesbo who still likes having sex with women.
I am reminded of an old saw ” if it has an apple, it has a banana “.

  9. You ask? Where are the profits in the US Prison System?

The California Correction Officers Union is one of the most powerful unions in California, and has a lot of influence with the Democrat Party in CA.

The prisons themselves are a major employer in their isolated, outstate areas. In many counties, they are the #1 or #2 largest employers, and with the absence of any mining, oil, or manufacturing jobs, they are often the amongst highest wage payers.

The government is not making the money. The people that work for the government are their own biggest cheerleaders.

      1. Thank you. It’s utter rubbish that our prisons are filled with minor drug possession charges. Look at each case and see the plea bargains that made violent criminals LOOK like minor drug users … they’re not. Go to ANY court in America … and watch the Judges cut criminals break after break after break. Sorry. Some people are broken, and don’t want to work. Don’t want to learn. And just want free shit … no matter how they get their shit free.

        1. Are you saying that Americans are sh*t compared to say, Frenchamn, Brits, Italians, Spanish, etc? The USA has the highest level of incarceration on the planet, are your people that bad? So bad that you need to incarcerate more of them than the Soviets did, or the Chicoms do?

          1. The USA is the third largest country in the world by population, larger than all those you mention put together, with problems rather than advantages due to diversity. So yes it may have a higher prison population. Is the overall percentage higher? If so, can it only be explained by your theory? China has put a million Uighers in prison just for being who they are.

          2. Oh, look, a disingenuous liar who doesn’t know the meaning of the words “per capita.” Shocka!
I’ve sparred with aholes like that, who claim absolute numbers when it suits them, then per-capita numbers when it suits them. The same game the gun-control nuts play. In other words, liars. Well done, Thomas! Now everybody can treat your comments with the respect they deserve.
            Now FO.

          3. Thomas, you’re kind of BS is pretty typical of the internet now, it got a big boost when the right and the left both started to ban Trump supporters in 2015.
If you had one single ounce of honesty or integrity, you would provide some numbers to try to prove me wrong, instead of your total BS dismissal and holier-than-thou appeal to emotion.
Your choice speaks volumes about you, and about the state of western discourse.
            You must be proud.

          4. Why are our prisons filled? Because we are a highly successful culture, and we have a lot of nice stuff. We also have more FREEDOMS than most nations. We don’t cane people … but we let them act out on their most base impulses. We are also ground central for the destruction of the family. And the black community of fatherless children breeds kids with ridiculously misplaced self-esteem that leads to thousands of murders in Chicago every year.

There are a myriad of logical reasons why we have so many people incarcerated … if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.

          5. Well … speaking of FREE … we are NOW letting VIOLENT criminals go FREE with no bail or low bail. Which … SHOCK! … is not reducing crime … but increasing it. And speaking of FREE … very few first offenders ever go to jail. So when should we determine that a criminal has committed ENOUGH crimes to be jailed? When do we determine that someone is anti-social ENOUGH to be jailed?

Let me quote Elton John from Tumbleweed Connection …
“something for nothing, always ending with a bad report”
note: the “report” of which he speaks is the sound of a gun.

  10. This transaction serves to point out the influence of the lgpbt crowd on liberals. This was a political stunt. Nothing more.

  11. Meh.
I think civilians should be prioritized over military personnel.
Soldiers signed up to take risks, civilians not so much, no matter how stupid they are.

    1. Once out of the service, one is a civilian. He still is a civilian, however, he served his country.
He wasn’t a publically country and flag hating queer.
This reinforces the knowledge that the Bidinh regime’s goal is the destruction of the US

      1. Spare me your legalisms. Out of the service because he was kicked out, for defrauding the very country he swore to serve, on the battlefront, no less, something that would have earned a firing squad in days gone by.
The lowest street whore in LA is worth as much if not more.
That being said, ex-military still took the oath to fight and maybe die for their country, civilians did not, thus civilians should be given priority, even the lowest of them.
The arm-chair generals who would sacrifice their own people on the altar of pragmatism are no different than Biden, who basically did the same thing. He shoulda got 2 or 3 low-value prisoners, that is if he, or you, thought that the lives of Americans are important because they’re Americans, instead of what political value they hold in your eyes.
Both the left and the right have abandoned all principles, and merged into monster that each side now hopes to control, even as it eats them.
        Bon appetit.

  12. In all his 50 years of public “service” … yeah … serving HIMSELF … Bidinh has demonstrated that he likes to be liked. NEEDS to be liked. Hence … he knows what his ultra left cheerleaders “like” … they like lesbians, and America-haters. They like kneelers. They like dope smokers. Bidinh couldn’t resist with those many boxes checked.

      1. Whites are the biggest fans of the whole tranny story hour BS, and so on.
Whites did great things, now they’re insane.
Russians are the only whites left who are not entirely faggotized, but the west is working on that, with the help of people like Colon, etc.
        “Fellow White People…”
Hatred exists for reasons, and they have good reasons to hate, just like the rest of us, and its all BS.
It takes a special kind of ahole to hate based on ethnicity.

  13. So, we are led to believe that only Whelan and the dyke were on the table. I call BS.
Every prisoner held by each side was on the table, Russia made its choice, America made its choice. The right, in trying to make it a “war-hero” vs “traitor” thing has shown itself no different than the left in terms of the value of freedom.
Russia, correctly said “hey we can trade this cnt for value, and this cnt ain’t helping the enemy.” America probably coulda got many more outta Russian prisons in exchange for a high-value man like Brout, but hey, they would have been nobodyies, people of no political value to anyone, just regular American Joes who ran afoul of Russia, but heck, more regular American Joes run afoul of America herself when it comes to doing time in prison, so the loud-mouthed dyke it is.

    1. The right did not make it about the value of freedom, or the value of American citizenship. They, just like the left, made it about politics.
Not surprising, seeing as a few think that some kind of political purge (ie mass murder of millions) will save the west.
Keep it dry, folks, because the maniacs are gearing up.

  14. But neither Canada or the US will put Russia (or China) on a “don’t go to this shithole” list.

    And that’s the real story.

    1. I suspect the real stories soon might be more kidnapped or incarcerated Americans and possibly a bull’s eye on Bout’s back.

But at least they got the basketball trash back.

  15. And what about the shameful inaction of the Turdoo government that allowed the arrest and captivity of the crew of that PIVOT charter airlines in the Dominican Rep. The government took only token action (if that) to get the crew released but they were held for about 7 months. It seems the W5 story on it did more to free them than any useless government action. In fact, the Canadian rep from the embassy there told them it was too bad they were not American, they would have been released quickly.
