Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Great clip clipe. I don’t even recall that one. It’s almost as impressive as the landing on the Hudson except these guys flew further without power than any commercial flight in global history. Cool.
That looks interesting.
You want middle of nowhere try St. Helena or Tristan da Cunha.
Or Ascension Island. Both the BBC World Service and NASA used that location for some of their facilities. The BBCWS had a relay so that their signals could be rebroadcast over that part of the world and NASA had a tracking station.
The island has antenna farms galore.
The middle of nowhere sounds pretty attractive, right about now. I wonder if they’re taxing sheep farts.
I sometimes take my boat out before the sun comes up.
Not as spectacular scenery but you get that feeling.
And what’s more, they speak Portuguese. Bonus!
During my Merchant sailor days, we stopped at the Azores once to offload cargo. Unfortunately, we arrived after dark, and left before dawn. The only thing I remember is that they were just mountains sticking up out of the ocean. Even where the ship was docked, the almost straight up mountain was dizzyingly steep. ( don’t think “dizzyingly” is a word ) but it fits.
What are the mask rules there?
