The share of Americans with a favorable impression of Disney has collapsed from 77% last year to just 33% today. This is catastrophic reputational damage—and a warning to other companies about the cost of going woke.
Disney, which built a family-friendly brand over the course of a century, is now less popular than both Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
It’s stunning: brands typically have much higher favorability ratings than political figures. But when Disney started to promote left-wing racial and sexual politics, it soon had a favorability rating roughly equal to the most polarizing national politicians. A lesson there. We will see if this has translated into financial consequences at the next quarterly earnings report. (The most recent quarterly earnings report only covered through April 2, before the leaked videos drove the media cycle and before the DeSantis legislation.)

Flight of the Navigator was my last disney flick.
My wife jumped out of her seat, Asked for our money back, We took our child and left.
The movie had two G-damns and one Shit word.
I watched the movie Ransom with Mel Gibson and Rene Russo yesterday. (It’s a remake of a film with Glenn Ford and Donna Reid.) It was a Touchstone Pictures production, with the studio being a division of Disney.
I thought it was awful and it was filled with profanity and violence.
Heh. Upcoming copyright legislation should be the coup de grace.
P.D.T., at least Flight of the Navigator had Sarah Jessica Parker, in her late teens, in the movie. The kid in the movie grew up to be a bank robber:

A few years ago, Turner Classic Movies had an arrangement to broadcast some vintage Disney movies and TV shows. Flight of the Navigator was one of them, which, when I watched it, didn’t seem so bad.
Sarah Jessica Parker showed even then that she can’t act.
I saw several of the Disney films that were aired and, to be honest, a lot of them didn’t age well.
Joey Cramer.
Looks like he had the standard ‘Hollywood’ child actor career. Got some roles, got old, got dumped, got into a messed up adult life.
‘Hollywood’ is a process plant. We hear all the older female actors complaining that there are no roles for them once they hit 40 (despite the fact that before they hit 40 they were happy to take roles off older actresses), but consider the ‘Child Star’. No roles for them once they turn 15 and stop looking ‘cute’.
(read into the word ‘cute’ what you will)
Would have been nice if he posted a link to the poll. Or maybe I missed it….?
Remains to be seen if the ratings and viewing will drop.
One suspects that it may, though it will recover.
Those that spend hours watching their big screen have to watch, in their mind, what else is there.
Taking a walk? A bike ride? Hava seat in the park and talk things over?
Unlikely.
It needs a change in culture.
Based on media interviews with some of Disney’s staff who are responsible for content, the decline of that organization should be welcomed by all. The well-being of your children is the furthest thing from their minds.
Nothing pleases me more than to See WOKE Leftist PERVERTS lose the bottom line due to their inbred DISEASE.
More pls….
Disney..pah, I don’t think I’ve knowingly watched anything from them in 30 yrs..? Most of which where kids video’s ~30 yrs ago. (All stolen during a break in at our home during the Ice Storm of ’99 – Cornwall Ont.)
Disney is donating $$ from sale of their “Pride” merchandise to the LGBTQqAI2s+/- …

No, I’ve not visited a Disney property in at least 30 years … and had no idea I could buy a Rainbow Mickey Mouse dildo at Disneyland.
It has become a real Mickey Mouse operation…or is that Minnie?
F’ing Goofy…
Tangent to that – When I was first working adult jobs back in the CD era I got working in an engineering company where I was supporting the machine shop. The head machinist used to use the term ‘Mickey Mouse’ as something that was really well made.
Mickey = Mic = Spick (apparently)
At the time I was still under the impression of ‘what sort of Mickey Mouse outfit…’ implied cheap and nasty.
So being the rookie draftsman I would turn up with a sample drawing and be told ‘Oh, that’s Mickey Mouse!’ and I would apologise and offer to do it again.
Confusing and Troubling times 😛
They tried ruining Bucky and Loki.
I hate Disney.
