It’s the facial theatre – the ‘eww’ face – the seeming incredulity that an obvious variable should be considered as an obvious variable. A thing one might need to address in order to solve the problem being discussed. As if considering such things – even suggesting that one might consider them – were beyond the pale, somehow scandalous or beneath rebuttal.
I’ve seen this same facial theatre many times, not least among left-leaning women who’ve been appointed to positions for which they are clearly ill-suited. An observation that would itself most likely result in the ‘eww’ face.
It seems very much related to niceness, or some desire for the appearance of niceness. As if niceness, so conceived, should be the sole measure of rightness. And so, any suggestion that one might have to consider a course of action at odds with that niceness is met with theatrical disbelief, as if one had belched very loudly during a wedding ceremony.

I’d say it’s very much related to a superior-than-thou attitude, as in the presumptuous belief in possessing a superior intellect or superior wisdom.
“Leftist discourse involves pretending not to understand” gives them too much credit.
Social stigma (priming mob mentality) is the only arrow in their quiver
… too ignorant to understand they’re not hiding their ignorance
… pompously stupid, attempting to embarrass others
“A world view based on what others think”
is also how they drive ie, nervously preoccupied with the rear-view mirror.
(yet they’re disgusted with history; obvious schizophrenia)
Self delusion made possible from a strong but false high-moral-ground,
it’s the basis of all their political/cultural argument; pretend offended sensibilities.
It’s soap-opera, life has become performance-art.
Seeded by people who know better, the infection spreads as the moron hires the co-retard,
so when they counter with, “not all (fill in the blank) are (fill in the blank) people”
it’s only a matter of time.
Facial theatre. Reminds me of the legendary Toronto band, Cinema Face.
