Yesterday, I received a call from a longtime friend in Vancouver. He has a medium level TDS infection, unlike his brother, who has full blown TDS. This fellow is the King of Middle of the Road. His constant refrain is to not be too extreme in either direction. I would generally applaud this except for one thing: He is conveniently ignorant about the Radical Left constantly moving the Overton Window in their direction. Because he and his ilk don’t have a spine to ever push back (it would be too extreme in his mind), Vancouver and B.C. continue to drift leftward into oblivion.
We got to a point in the conversation where he pronounced that Trump is horrible and Carney is doing fine. I started getting nauseous from this blathering so I interrupted his rant and said: “Please name just one thing that Mark Carney has done in the best interest of the Canadian people.” He couldn’t name anything. He went on with a series of “ifs” that will take a year or two from now to determine if Carney has succeeded. I agreed that if all of those positive things he mentioned come to fruition, Carney will have done great things for Canada. Until then, I view Carney as chief blowhard and word salad maestro of Canada, very reminiscent of Obama.
But, in fairness, I did ask Grok to list Carney’s accomplishments as Canadian PM and it returned this.
What is your take on Carney’s tenure as PM so far?
P.S. It’s not clear how my friend would react to the comments about Carney here.

All Grok did was pull from the propaganda.
C-5 is a joke
a new bureaucracy does nothing
The only accomplishment Marx Carnage made was increasing his wealth.
As for playing the nice guy? Never gets you anywhere.
Thanks for that critique of Grok’s summary, Mike. I must confess that I don’t always follow the details of what’s going on in Canadian politics anymore. Not everything it wrote, was I familiar with.
My general sense though is that everything Carney does either benefits the globalist elites or Brookfield Asset Management. And there’s undoubtedly a strong overlap between the two.
“Formally recognized the state of Palestine.”
That is an accomplishment?
Where is it?
Who is the leader?
Does it have a currency?
Postage Stamps?
Where can I find this place and its borders?
I recognize The Land of OZ. I’m a Wizard.
“Formally recognized the state of Palestine.”
Great. Can he point it out on a map?
I can recognize the state of Palestine! It’s a bloody mess!
Carney’s great things.
1. Alienating Canada’s largest trading partner and its primary provider of national security.
2. Subjugating Canada’s sovereignty to the CCP.
3. Focusing hard on increased carbon emissions via international travel/personal vacations.
4. Kept his elbows up.
Feel free to add to the list…
Increasing the number of government employees.
Being the cause of the first potentially viable separation vote amongst majority English speaking Canadians.
Maintaining the top level hypocrisy we have come to know and expect in top level Liberals.

Carnage has advanced gun confiscation, censorship, and surveillance of canadians. So he has done things but nothing that is good.
Here’s a test for your … *cough* … “moderate” … *cough* friend … Robert. Ask him … IF … he will give Trump more than 3-weeks to fully realize his plan for Iran?
And then do: Venezuela, international Drug cartels, Cuba, Tariffs … everything Trump does. If he’s not willing to also give Trump 2-3 years … then he’s as “moderate” as the latest dead Ayatollah walking.
I think Carney has not sucked on the international stage, but seeing as we have Trudeau for comparison that’s a low bar. On domestic issues though, Carney definitely fails. There are things he could do to make life better for the average Canadian and he hasn’t done one of them. How about no bail for repeat offenders? How about letting immigrant criminals get deported? How about a foreign agents registry? How about dropping the gun registry? How about dropping the gun buyback program? How about ending the safe injection site program?
None of those things would cost much money, if any. And they would be low friction to get through parliament. But that would require Carney to actually spend enough time at home to notice these things.
WTF? Of course he sucks at international level as well: relation with USA could have been much better (his TDS is too obvious), China alliance, way too many EU trips and too much EU cuddling, WEF/Davos crap (btw Davos speech did not help Canada at all).
And internally, he also further alienated the West + ramped up hate and political warfare in Ottawa with all these floor crossings.
He got some Chinese tariffs removed for Western farmers, I count that as a win. He also got us an exemption on EU military procurement contracts, military equipment from Canada won’t be tariffed as foreign goods. I assume he’s waiting on USMCA renegotiations to begin before reengaging with the Americans. Time works in Canada’s favour on that issue.
Most of what Carney has done is give the impression that Canada can go elsewhere if we don’t get a deal with the US, and that may not be in the US’s interest.
Personally, I’d rather have a free trade deal with the US, one that has certain strings attached to keep all parties honest. That said, when I’m looking to buy a car, it doesn’t hurt to let the dealership know there are other options, even if they aren’t my first choice.
“Most of what Carney has done is give the impression that Canada can go elsewhere if we don’t get a deal with the US, ”
A mostly false impression. Geography can’t be bargained away, for one thing. For another, any deal that Carney thinks he has with China (or most other nations) can be quickly and easily cancelled by Trump if he is feeling vindictive. We would have to align ourselves with North Korea, Iran, Russia or a handful of similar countries to really be out of Trump’s reach.
I’m old enough to remember the “green” slogan … “Think global – buy local”
Huh? I guess Canada will just ignore those thousands of shipping miles to Europe and Communist China. Oh! Wait. Electric ships? 5-masted square sail tall ships?
Carney — Carnage — self identifies as European.
He’s here because he was a disaster in the UK and because his global greeniac alliance was rapidly falling apart. So back he comes to Canada.
Lets be very clear-eyed: he thinks Canada is a backwater and that Canadians are hicks, much like how the eastern-laurentian bastards think Albertans are rednecks.
He has one and one only policy: self-enrichment and the gradual collapse of Canada so that its assets can be snapped up by his globalist friends. He’s a snob, a phony and a supreme bullshitter. I could more easily listen to his phony unctuous predecesor than to him.
I cannot get over how his credentials as a central banker so impressed the economically illiterate who have not learned that central bankers are essentially counterfeiters.
Lines I used at a Calgary transit info session last night (paraphrased): “These changes and your answers to my questions are straight out of Animal Farm. Central planning killed over 100 million people in the last century, so copying that approach ‘for the public good’ might not be as evil as the holodomor but it shows you’re willing to walk that path.”
Right.
“We are releasing our “Strategic Oil Reserve””
Maybe blows is better than sucks.
And how could he embarass Canada further on the international stage?
When we have done so well in imposing a State of Thuggery, censorship and government truth speak.
Not to mention our ridiculous posturing toward our military protectors.
Canada cannot be embarassed.
our voting citizens are too stupid.
FILTHY LIBERALS
Marx Carnage represents the British Empire.
They crush, keep its colonies as extractors, and never let them fly.
President Trump is Destroying/Removing their Funds – USAAID & NGO’s. And got Britain to give up its stranglehold on the Strait of Hormuz-(Lloyds declined service so USA took it over. ($120000/Tanker Passing.)…..
Carney is Vanilla Obama. A Pure Evil Marxist.
Teeney Tiny Miniature Short Little Man Carney is no match for President Trump.
God Bless America.

British law and the Magna Carta (none are above the law) were a blessing to the world. The idea of colonialism being a bad thing is part and parcel of multiculturalism being a good thing and that all cultures (including the aspects of rape, child molestation, racial superiority, misogyny/misanthropy, caste systems, etc.) are good and can add to the public good. The Anglosphere leads the word because of British morals/standards, especially as exemplified by their moral child, the USA.
(There is no sarcasm font, just as there is no “playing it straight” font.)
“(There is no sarcasm font, just as there is no “playing it straight” font.)”
Yeah, you can either do the ‘/sarc’ thing or just rely on people here knowing who (and what) you are, I guess.
C’mon now. He’s solidified the Canadian identity. He’s given the country unity! Just look at that long conga line of elbows-uppers waltzing along behind him! From every province!
Yup, unity. Those who trust and support the Liberals trust and support the Liberals more. Those that don’t, don’t (but even more strongly). The disparate views are cementing, and are alike in that strengthening.
“Just look at that long conga line of elbows-uppers waltzing along behind him! From every province!”
What annoyed me was the amount of grey hair I saw in those rooms with all the ‘elbows up’ idiots doing the Chicken Dance. Almost all of them were old enough to know better…
Time will make them grow old, but cannot make them grow up. I hope that they do not experience the nobby dildo of consequence, as it seldom arrives with lube. And is unlikely to make them reconsider their politics (a la New York requesting on her knees that the millionaires return).
What has he done? (Sigh)
-Gave us a 6 pack tax break every two weeks,
-suspended (not cancelled) the consumer carbon tax.
-taken PR TikTok/shorts promotions to new levels. Lots of smiles, handshakes and hugs.
-introduced and in the process of passing intrusive, totalitarian legislation, to ban users from the internet and to force feed your social media with CanCon.
-gone on worldwide vacays, speaking and writing word salad MOUs signifying nothing.
-unprecedented 4 floor crossers, all no doubt, enticed by graft and brown bags.
-offended our biggest trading partner, risking a total economic collapse.
-money laundered $20 billion to corrupt, fascist, totalitarian Ukraine
-flipflopped on housing, budgets, transparency, western Canada, pipelines, etc
Inflation remains out of control
So, yes, he’s been horrible. Thrown a few crumbs at the simpletons, but his main job has been to continue insulting Trump, despite the economic damage those same stupid comments result in.
Oh, and he hugs people puppies, furries and naked men at Rainbow parades.
He’s been a POS of a totalitarian party, that wants to destroy this country by pretending to protect it.
To be fair, he did visit Canada to celebrate his first year as Prime Minister.
Jesus Fcking Christ!
Some of you people just don’t fcking get it!
The government doesn’t Do Anything for you.
It does shit for Itself.
So does PM Fckhole, just like the Black-faced Rimmer before him.
If you have expectations that are otherwise you’re probably a fcking retard.
Funny when he says that Pierre Poilievre sounds like a fictional name, when “John Stewart” is a fictional name.
What has #CarkMarney done for Canadians in a year?
My personal favorites are A) diesel is over two bucks a quart, and B) a box of four Drumsticks is over ten bucks. Let’s not even mention meat.
Also my taxes are up, again, and I’ve been reminded several times this year that “dial 911 and die” is the only official approved response to violent crime in Canada. Anything else and you go to jail.
But hey, the MAiD program is going great so it isn’t all bad news.
He’s shown the Americans we’re not all French.
But, The Pipsqueak, along with Trudeau, will have the Amerks wondering about all the Canadian Quasi-Men.
