    “Forced every Canadian to confront”. I don’t know what part of the Country this guy is visiting, but 95 percent of Canadians dont confront a GD thing and have zero concern about their rights.

I have various thoughts – first, thank you for posting about the forgotten Prime Minister John Thomson, sounds as if he was a very good guy; then the posting about the baggage handler at Pearson Airport – I hope NOT to fly in the future to avoid Pearson Airport – there are far too many undesirable people manning the baggage handling, and the security clearances – something very bad is just waiting to happen and finally, thank you for posting about the Anglo-Saxon and their culture’s contributions to the world. I am myself Celtic (Scotch-Irish) but have always been happy to be a part of the former British Empire (the parts colored “pink” on the world maps provided classrooms by Neilson Chocolate company in the 1950’s and 1960’s when I started school).

  3. Thompson: forgotten because he was a Conservative. Do we ever hear about Abbott, Bowel, Tupper, Borden, Meighen, Bennett, Dief? No because they were all Conservatives and not from Quebec although Abbott was a Montreal Lawyer. Laurier was just as bad, maybe worse than John A, for his racist beliefs. But he gets a free ride. Why? Because, just like today, Liberals get a free ride.

    2. Her fumbling, mumbling statement about Taiwan was far worse … and far more dangerous. I’d call her sophomoric … but I have no respect for college Juniors either … and certainly not Seniors.

      1. It is to be hoped that sophomores in high school have a better grasp of world geography and international geopolitics than she does. They couldn’t possibly know less.

        1. In MY HS career … emotional violins … I studied world history, geography, government, and civics. But as someone … mentioned here … Colleges now have remedial, remedial, mathematics courses. And that’s for their 4.0 GPA admissions.

          Yeah, I can only IMAGINE AOC’s HS grade inflation and desperate need for remedial, remedial … everything.

  6. Re: the “ICE Drill” … I have my own version of the MN Professor’s “ICE Drill” … which dovetails into the First Amendment victory by the UofW Professor. I demand that indigenous students shield me … a white boy descendent of settlers … every time someone reads a harmful Land Acknowledgement.

    1. If Trump has his wits about him, he will suggest, strongly, that aerospace and defense companies leave California due to the security threats presented by Newsom and FangFang Swalwell.

    1. And there should be mandatory minimum sentences for those FELONY invasions of churches … even though most churches are woke incubators of ICE attackers.

CBC had a recent interesting conversation with an activist deeply concerned about the proposed new Winnipeg law regarding limiting protests near religious centres, community centres, schools, day cares. This came about as a direct response to proPalestinian demonstrators calling for the genocide of Israelis in front of children coming and going at the Rady Centre, the Jewish Community Centre, though there are some other reasons for it as well. To the credit of the CBC host, he asked the activist what she would say to the Jewish community about these demonstrations frightening Jewish children. The reply was of note. (I paraphrase here.)

    “Protesting is supposed to make people uncomfortable or it is ineffective. If members of the Jewish community chose to host controversial speakers and otherwise support genocide they can’t expect to get away with it by using their children as human shields.”
