Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Why would the government let someone build a house in the middle of Highway 97? That’s silly.
Perhaps they’re remaking the old movie “Roadhouse”, and the BC government got involved. “Great project! Here’s your infrastructure!”
Our house … in the middle of street

Good one Kenji, you have great taste in music!!
I recognize the area, looks like Gorman’s mill in WESTBANK, BC, southbound hwy 97, must have been quite the trip, down Drought Hill, past Peachland, wonder where its final destination was?
Yup. That’s Gorman’s mill.
was it put there by a Nites Ov De Rod?
or
Being British Columbia is Highway 97 a land claim?
House moving truck broke down.
At least they don’t need to search for a hotel.
Just below our place, then saw the house near Antlers Beach on one of the pullouts.
The tractor truck was probably a late 50’s to 60’s model. Couldn’t see any paint left on the truck, mostly rust. If that was what was used at the original breakdown, it’s a wonder it made it that far.
But now thinking about it, that old truck will outlast most of what has been built in the past 40 years, will probably still be running in another 40 years. All mechanical, all rebuildable. Steady like a Rock!!!
Need I say it?
You can’t park here.
