  3. As much as I am a raging fan of Adele’s lp ‘21’ … which is one of the greatest lp’s of all time … it cannot compare to ‘The End’ by the Doors. Robbie Kreiger’s HAUNTING psychedelic guitar riffs are as good as psychedelia ever was. Yes, I know this wasn’t from ‘21’ … but was written for the film ‘Skyfall’ … it’s as good as the music writing on ‘21’.

      1. Check out “The Sounds of 007” on Apple or Prime (one of those thingys). Hilarious tale from George Martin about Macca writing Live And Let Die and Broccoli and Saltzman saying Thelma Houston would be a good singer for it.
        Martin replies, “But we have Paul…”.
        “How about Aretha Franklin?”
        Martin again says, “You know, we have Paul…”

        1. And ironically … this is perhaps the most intricate of all McCartney’s vocals … as he changes tones and tempos multiple times singing the stanza. Brilliant actually. He’s so good, that I can completely overlook Linda’s warbling out of key.
