  1. Wow, I can’t think of a more devilish thing to distort and destroy the most basic&sacred concepts: make it trivial, cutify, turn 180, enshitify. Stay tuned for some several season/multi-part series Disney retelling of the Bible.

      1. Actually preaching using your wealth to help the needy. Of course, the definition of needy does not include everyone who whines and helping those in need can include creating jobs with that wealth. During the Depression, GM ran ads reminding people thst every car they bought created five man-days of jobs.

    1. L – The Freedom Convoy is the beginning of the end of tyrannical government in Canada… okay Western Canada. The prairies had majority support for it. The reverse for Ontario. The leaders of the Freedom Convoy were blue collar workers, ad hoc leaders.

      Because for prairie people, when something has to be done. They step up and do it. That was the pioneering spirit, that Carved Canada out of the wilderness, men and women of uncommon valour. The farming, logger, tradesmen, the working class works. They are high in the personality trait of conscientiousness. That and the spirit of adventure attracted the pioneers, that up until recently were honoured as generations of heroes. Only a few decades of Cult. Marxism/Post Modernism have demoralized many.

      Globalism is a tower of Babel. It violates human nature. The U.K. and the E.U. Is a dictatorship run out of Brussels, Government of bureaucrats, for bureaucrats and by bureaucrats = Bureaucracy a form of government formed, when the childish fantasies of Peter Pans, who live in a Neverland. Marxist Carnage is the second W.E.F. clown to increase the chaos. The E.U./U.K./W.E.F. Project is in chaos. Why does P.M. Carnage say, they can replace trade with the U.S.A.; Because, as his book ‘Values’ shows, however elaborate it is. It is still Neverland.

      In the background the predators lurk to seize the power that a nation of what is supposed to be self-governing citizens, who fail to fulfill that role. Fail to exercise your responsibilities and someone else will; but they won’t have your best interest in mind, only their own.

      The de-industrialization of the West that invented industrialization, fed the Dragon that Mao created. Now it is taking over the entire house. Funny isn’t it, how the historic narratives that Prof. Jordan Peterson uses to give us access, to the wisdom of our ancestors, prove eternally valid. That’’s why it is called wisdom.

    Where this attempt to distort and provide cover for their sacred narrative fails so badly,that it moves todays youth to read 1984..
    The O.P.M has run out,we are all hungrier and becoming much less tolerant of idiocy.
    What better time to stand up and reveal your contempt for truth and beauty?

    1. It seems to me we are living 1984. I watch some of CBC and CTV. Recently the main narrative has been PP leadership. Now make no mistake, I believe we would be in only a slightly better position with a CPC government. But obviously they are doing some things right in order to incur the steady wrath of the MSM.

      The real thing that bothers me the most is the process by which we have ended up with Mark Carney. In the Liberal leadership it appears 200 thousand votes appear to have been cast aside and 2 candidates cast aside without justification. This resulted in nearly identical riding results across the country of 85% support for Carney. Add to this suspicious election boundary and processes in various ridings that in a true democracy would demand scrutiny. But, nothing to see. You would think there would be at least one Liberal or mainstream journalist with enough integrity ,with enough understanding of the fragility of institutions the success, prosperity and freedoms we have enjoyed were built on , to speak out. We have been in a slow boiling pot and we are now being served .
      Of course after the covid debacle and the subsequent treatment of dissenters this should be self evident. For most Canadians it is not. There is no election in the near term. The trade war (there has been no negotiation ,we immediately went to war) is about to explode as our existing trade deal which gives 85% of tariff free access ,is about to come to an end . This is a very useful tool for the Liberals. In the meantime they will deal with problems the only way they no how, spend and borrow more money. A train wreck in slow but accelerating motion. All I want for Christmas is a new country to leave my children and grandchildren.

  5. There’s a small measure of comfort knowing Artificial Intelligence will soon be effing over Hollywood six ways to Sunday. From the lowly “key grip” working on set to the dumber than a box of rocks gazillionaire actress hitting it big with residuals. Gone overnight…you’d have to be blind not to see it.

  6. Andy Serkis and Seth Rogan in a film loosely based off an Orwell book, distributed by Angel. It all seems wrong

      1. My wife did some pottery throwing in college and enjoys watching The Great Pottery Throwdown. She made it though two episodes of The Great Canadian Pottery Throwdown before telling me to delete the whole series.

        (To be fair, all of the “Great Canadian” versions of the UK equivalents are garbage. The UK shows are clearly casting for diversity but at least everyone selected has a modicum of talent. The Canadian shows are a showcase of the bigotry of low expectations as the token Inuit, Angry Black Lesbian and Indian university student all wash out in the first episodes)

  8. It’ll be fascinating to find out what kind of political message this movie sends. I don’t see modern Hollywood making a film that condemns socialist revolution.

    1. Tell me you didn’t watch the trailer without telling me you didn’t watch the trailer.

      The farm becomes wildly successful after the proletariat overthrows the kulaks. Then Big Capitalism finds out the farm is a marketable property and suborns Napoleon and Snowball/Squealer with wealth, fame and fortune and they start exploiting the animals.

      The trailer doesn’t spoil the ending but I’m guessing Napoleon and his lackeys See The Light, throw off the influence of Big Capitalism and return the farm to its state as a happy worker-owned commune.

      This is some Starship Troopers level shit, and given how successful that film has been at obscuring the message of the original book, I’d say this adaptation of Animal Farm is a brilliant piece of propaganda. They’re going to make it impossible to refer to the book as an allegory for what’s happening ever again.

      2. I did watch the trailer. The real lessons of Animal Farm unfold in the second part of the story, not the first, which is what the trailor seemed to show.

  9. Not sure what to make if this, unless Angel Studios is trying to make Orwell approachable for kids.

    For those who don’t know, Angel Studios made their name producing a series called The Chosen, focusing on the life and times of Jesus and his apostles.
