    A ‘healthcare right’ that you can’t spend your own money on because of liberal fantasies about bad things that might happen which are in direct contradiction to what actually does happen in every country that does allow citizens to spend their own money on their own healthcare. The horror, the horror….
    A Canadian healthcare system based on fearful liberal fantasies about hybrid public/private healthcare instead of on the dozens of real world examples showing that it creates massively better patient results.
    A Canadian healthcare system based on maintaining Marxist ideological purity instead of patient welfare and survival rates.
    Obviously Marxist and socialist politics takes priority over suffering, death, and waste of resources.

    1. In Kanada, healthcare is union turf. Until the public healthcare unions are brought to heel, things will just keep getting worse.

    I believe there are some good reasons for MAID, but this doesn’t seem like one of them.

    This seems to have failed. What recourse does one have in any province of Canada when “properly assess” and “best path forward” and “timely access” and “high quality healthcare” have all failed?

    There are 9 endocrinologists in Saskatchewan, 4 in Saskatoon, 3 in Regina, none taking new patients, and only PEI and NB having fewer per capita in Canada. It looks like a failure of the Sask. Ministry of Health to gain 2 or 3 more Dr’s who are qualified, and nothing to do with the unions or the NDP’s eternal grandstanding against “funding”. AB has 2x per capita, I think they should be permitted to simply cross the border and hope one of the 68 endocrinologists here would take a new patient to simply give a referral to another surgeon in Canada who can do the work.

    Note too, there are 31 endocrinologists in Montana… far more available per capita than anywhere in Canada.

        I think “encouragement” isn’t what’s in short order here.

        If we’re sitting at Christmas dinner and you asked me to “pass the salt and pepper” and I replied that “I’m trying” and thanked you for your encouragement on this matter… It wouldn’t be quite the same as actually and simply passing the salt and pepper. This view is lacking in all things gov’t in Canada which no longer work as they should, or as designed. 12 days ago I had a minor heart attack, in the 12 hours following I saw terrific health care workers, everything aligned perfectly and was “repaired” in hospital that day. Every aspect of this could have been “luck”. but none of this should be “luck”.
        I’m an exception, this is super rare for anyone in Canada, but at the rate we’re taxed at it should be the norm. It should be expected. 99% of “MAiD” is built around gov’t failure to do what they’ve promised to do with $Billions in taxation.

    The Liberals really do believe in their Century Agenda, to kill off the Old Stock Canadians and flood Canada with the Third World so that there will be 100 million living in Canada by 2100, most Liberal voters.
