    1. Nice point to bring up. Why indeed is Chrystia Freeland in Ukraine; what purpose does she serve, and whose interests is she serving?
      Perhaps she’s there as a cleaning lady.

      CAVE LECTOR MITIS: one needs to read this with an eye towards who, exactly, the authors really are, and how what they are saying plays out for all of us little peasants around the globe; those are important factors to keep in mind lest one get lost in such catchy phrases as “sovereign individual”, “free trade”, “personal autonomy” and the like which so many conservatives/westerners/liberty lovers get so easily taken in by (because they seem to not understand the history of words very well).

  5. Thank you for posting “Of Christmas Past” – it reminds me of growing up in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s (I was born in 1952, so was 8 in 1960). The movie, “A Christmas Story” resonates with me even though it took place in the early 1940’s, because it was so reminiscent of my growing up in Edmonton. We were not Catholic, but did attend Christmas Eve at church (the only time my father would attend) in addition to going to Sunday School.
