Finally, a raid on the weirdo cult in Richmound, SK: Officers seized 4 replica firearms, no charges laid as of Wednesday afternoon

addendum: Reading comments, it seems no one here knows this story, which is normal because I haven’t posted about it.

These kooks moved into a small village and have been a local scourge ever since. (like allegations of pumping their sewage onto the village’s park and ball diamonds)

And even more weirdly, the arrests are now world news.

  6. So far as I can tell … their only crime was in suggesting that nobody in their membership need to pay taxes. I do pretty much the same thing. I simply don’t earn any money.   9. The Queen told the locals she had supreme authority over the land but she didn’t look aboriginal so they ignored her, except for the fearful ones. This caused the RCMP to step in and seize the replica guns. Feel safer? The best part of the “reporting” was …

  10. Are the fake guns the only problem here? Is there a real offense? I know the gov’t of tier 2 Canada doesn’t like having anyone think of their status as being anything above their gov’t… so, am I missing something?

    It appears that I’ll have to sit on that sovereign jury too…

    Were they not paying municipal taxes on that property? That sounds like a municipal problem, not a federal police force problem, cost of each RCMP member + $200k / year to police municipal tax issues?

      30 police vehicles…how many actual police? How much did this fiasco cost?

      16 people arrested…for what, exactly? Arrested without charges?

      No mysterious humps in the former schoolyard? No claims of compensation?
      I heard you can open discharge sewage in Sk if your property is big enough acres.
