Winnipeg routinely has nearly half its ambulances off the road at night. On some recent evenings, only 9 of 19 units were staffed. That’s less than half the fleet. Calls stack up in a queue while people suffer, and families wonder when help will come. These aren’t delays for a pizza delivery; these are delays for strokes, heart attacks, and trauma.
Winnipeg? That was the place where a dead Indian sat in emergency for 48 hours before anyone noticed. I suspect health authourities summed it up as, “Another dead Indian, who the eff cares?”

l colloquially call them pollitiSHUNS but you get it.
thats where lm confoosed. medical care and all aspects like ambulances are an integral part of what constitutes a functioning society.

what in h-e-hockey sticks is THIS but a ghastly FAILURE? and what recourse is there? what are the remedies when those selected ie elected (a special type of selection) dont do what they were thus APPOINTED to carry out? to ‘set up’ things and once the ‘formula’ is worked out over time, to MAINTAIN them. what is going on here? what the blazes now? its the old saying ‘ya had one job to do’.
the extremely sad thing it aint just ambulances. so much is interconnected and separate and distinct but related. finance for instance is part of pretty much *everything else*.

When problems like this persist despite receiving $4.6 BILLION in equalization you absolutely KNOW the system is corrupt.
Manitoba has higher income tax rates and a provincial sales tax. This directly impoverishes its population which induces higher equalization rates.
The citizenry is poorer because the provential government is taking more revenue which triggers eligibility for the same government to take in additional revenues from other provinces (the west, where tax rates are lower).
I don’t know how much they’re taking in in total but when 4.6 billion ADDITIONAL doesn’t get you decent emergency services you need a thorough unbiased audit, an honest judge, and a big fat jail you can build with a tiny portion of the missing laundered and squandered revenue.
The more I encounter “equalization” information the more I wonder how this racket ever started. 4.6 Billion in additional revenue. 9 operating ambulances (1 ambulance per 86,000 people or so).
This is why Manitoba should never be invited into Greater Canada.
It’s not corruption, it is incompetence. Have you ever met anyone impressive working in government? These are lazy, stupid time markers, accumulating years to a pension, completely useless humans. A nation of coward sheep deserves no better however, so just shut up and take your desserts. Shithole.
