    Damn. Seriously. I wish you well Canadians. I’ve never seen a more miserable group of people trying to convince themselves they’re ‘happy’ … as if gay sex is going to make one ‘happy’. Well … maybe … if they can get schoolchildren involved they’ll be happy.

  3. There are dozens of Catholic and charter schools in Edmonton.

    Alberta parents typically have no shortage of choice. It’s likely why Alberta is regularly rated as having one of the best education systems in the world.

  5. Tolerance was never going to be enough. Tolerance implies that there is something wrong with that which needs to be tolerated. Can’t have that. Queerness must be celebrated!
    It will never be enough. They got “gay marriage”. Now trans rights. If they get that then it will be Minor Attracted Persons. Then whatever next perverted pleasure they want mainstreamed.

  6. I haven’t seen anything such as gay hate. 50 years ago at the U of Alberta there were lots of gay guys and I don’t remember anyone giving a shit one way or another. I didn’t socialize with them and they didn’t socialize with me and I’m sure they preferred it that way. I suspect any grief queers get comes from grabbing the wrong dick.

  8. I know people who hate Brussel sprouts and turnips and are suspect of those who enjoy both. When is the school system going to address this?

    Both scenarios are opinion based and subjective founded on personal experience, self-determination, and individual preference. To attempt to shape either of these opinions is perfectly acceptable, but not guaranteed. Penalizing those holding personal opinions regardless of the content is, quite frankly, persecution, discrimination, retaliation, sanction and censure.

  9. There is a video floating around showing a government worker in Ottawa taking down the Liberal Maple Leaf flag and replacing it with the LGB++XYz queer flag. What’s notable is that, it is outside Carney’s new Ottawa office. Canada’s new national flag? Although, one is no worse than the other, I suppose.

  14. I lived in Edmonton for 35 years and know about the devolution of MacEwan (fake) University, formerly a mere community college:. It’s founder, Grant MacEwan, would be spinning. Look him up. Here is an excerpt of his latter days…

    MacEwan continued to be physically active and was not known to waste any time. He believed that anyone awake should be doing something. In his eighties, he still rode horses, hiked and walked, outpaced reporters on morning jogs, built a log cabin, and chopped logs with an axe.

    1. Grant McEwan was an agriculture prof and a politician who ended his career as Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. He wrote a lot of popular history books about the west. MacEwan University was named after him. He did not found it.
