    1. The guys running the Ag Cartels are doing very well. When was the last time a parasite had any concern for the welfare of the host?

  1. Carney isn’t looking for a deal for Canada. Our destruction will leave us open for the vultures.

    1. Over 90% of Carney’s holdings are American, less than 5% Canadian. Whose economic welfare is he going to look our for?

    2. No. Buyers. Alberta and Saskatchewan will get us to 52 stars. No sale on Ontario or Quebec. The Atlantic Provinces. You would have to pay us to take them.

  2. Looking at that video with the sound off, it seemed like the circus was in town. All candy, flags and balloons.

Has this country ever been more un-serious?

  3. Chrystia Freeland negotiated the USMCA. She’s already proved to be the greatest Trump whisperer in USA history. And she says CANADA already HAS a Trade agreement with the USA … and it’s NEVER gonna change. And Trump calls her “highly respected in her country, and a really tough negotiator”.

So why renegotiate with a Terrorist Trump Tarriffer ? Just do what Chrystia says.

  4. I admit I’m a bit surprised and disappointed. I had assumed that Trump’s tariffs were solely a negotiating tool – that the desired end state was a free trade agreement between the US and its trading partners with no tariffs on either side. Clearly that’s no longer the end goal.

That said, if Trump’s new end goal is to return the US federal government to its original funding model – tariffs only – and eliminate the income tax, that’s a massive game-changer.

    1. Surely you’re smarter than that … as there are MULTIPLE non-tariff trade barriers. Both Tariffs AND those non-tariff trade barriers need to be taken as a whole and balanced together. For example … wages and the standard of living in The Philippines is a tiny fraction of that in the USA. Wouldn’t it BENEFIT those poor Philippino peasants to NOT pay tariffs on US goods? D’ya think the people of The Philippines earn a shitload LESS $$ than American workers? How are you going to account for THAT trade imbalance?

A typical suburb in The Philippines …

PS … how about we export ALL of Canada’s tech jobs to India … where people will do the work for a tiny fraction of the Canadian workforce? That would be “Fair Trade” … right?

  5. Leni Riefenstahl would be proud of this video montage.
    Straight outta 1930s Germany.
This country’s premiers are pathetic poseurs, way over their heads and beyond redemption.
No doubt, some sheeple are swallowing the slop, but the rest of us see preening idiots

  6. I suspect none of Trump’s new agreements will pass the Senate. Once appeals of import tariffs start hitting the courts Trump’s arbitrary actions will likely be overturned.

    1. Not needed. Congress has for a couple decades ceded most tariff setting power to the President. I have no idea what they were thinking. (Probably nothing.)

  7. “…The Philippines is going open market with the US and zero tariffs. The Philippines will pay a 19% Tariff…” No, it sounds like the Americans will pay up to 19% tariff on Philippine imports.
