Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

When there’s a hijacking in Canada… The Americans show up. Because our busted antique 1970’s sh1t won’t fly.
F- you, Liberals.
One or two years ago, it took a U.S. fighter Jet to take down a Chinese spy balloon
More on the “weather” balloon.

What I find interesting is the excuses for how hard a balloon is to detect on radar. They neglect to mention the enormous instrument package hanging below the balloon. See photo in article.
It’s NORAD. Canadian fighters sometimes take a shift intercepting Russian aircraft on the Alaska coast. The nearest Canadian fighters to Vancouver are in Cold Lake, Alberta. Comox, BC had fighters up to the 1980s before the airforce was deballed.
The CBC news said NORAD jets were scrambled but didn’t mention where they were scrambled from. They don’t want to disclose too much info.

I just found that out today. What a sad state of affairs.
It was very similar for marine operations around Vancouver before we got our hovercraft…the Americans would routinely come up here from Washington state to help Canadian boaters in distress, much to the embarrassment of our own Coast Guard.
The devil is in the details and most who don’t know the area are unaware of the details.
Victoria is well south of the 49th parallel and to fly to Vancouver, the US territory at Point Roberts, several San Juan Islands, and the US border are in the direct flightpath or close enough for concern.
The two countries’ defenses are integrated and responses are likely dependent on which resources are nearby and ready and, as for the cost of scrambling these jets, they are routinely scrambled to fly exercises or patrols so a response like this doesn’t add any cost.
Geography is Destiny is All.
What was NATO going to do?
Whatever the elbows up assholes say, whatever their bullshitting prime moralizer says, Canada the half-retarded brother, needs its Big Strong Brother to keep them safe and those c*nts from Europe aren’t doing diddly. Ever.
Canada is a territory of the US. We should be thankful.
