National Post- Finance minister directs cabinet colleagues to find billions in spending cuts
After several big government “investments,” it’s time for cuts: Canada’s Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne has directed his cabinet colleagues to find ways to cut spending by billions of dollars as he prepares to present his first budget in October.
His goal is to reduce the operating budget, while setting increased spending apart in the capital budget.

I’ll take NADA for $1000 Alex.
Make it a daily double for 2X
Thinking, after all is said & done, everything will be clear as mud.
Billions and billions will be spent and plebeians will be in ignorant bliss, happy with free stuff.
Is this a great closest European country …. or what?
Spending cuts?
They’ll just spend any savings. After all the budget will balance itself.

This post is from yesterday but Argentina sure is on the right track.
No more vanilla shots and lemon loaf with their Starbucks.
Start with these:
Can the BC -China ferry deal, tell BDC to pound sand.
CBC – $1B + per year
Zero immigration
Cut the bar tab for every elected MP
(Including food, we all pay after tax)
Stop all “Green” subsidies. Kick G-boo in the sac too. If “he” doesn’t react then it’s a they.
We live in an age when lower rates of increase are called cuts.
If corporate shareholders were as dumb as taxpayers, nobody would be wealthy.
They didn’t bother with a proper budget, just an appropriations bill run in a single day without much in the way of debate on June 17th. Of course the bloc voted for it, as did the liberals, but the senate doesn’t seem to have had a recorded vote of any kind on it.
