Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Stop communicating through them or with them entirely.
They lie about everything.
They are. Trump tweets and uses social media and that drives the MSM crazy because it bypasses them. It bypasses the filter, the cherry-picked sound bites and the bimbo anchors that tell us what they want us to think he said. For all their faults, Rogan and Tucker give long interviews with people like Trump or Putin or Musk, and let them speak.
The media is perfectly onside to question whether the mission was wholely successful if they have evidence to that effect. That it might hurt some people’s feelings is irrelevant.
Hegseth should have addressed the facts behind the allegations rather than playing the victim.
KM not only are you wrong BUT you are out to lunch
When did Republicans become such whiners?
Far more effective to rebut such news stories with facts than complaining about how hard done by they are.
presenting facts does nothing to the likes of can, msnbc, cbc, etc so you might as well point out the kind of a-holes they are. maybe if this had been done instead of using the pc bull they wouldn’t be so predominate.
Presenting facts in a calm and mature fashion is not for CNN’s sake, but to demonstrate to the public that CNN is ill-informed.
The point of rebuttal is rarely to convince “the other side”. You not likely to be successful. The point is to convince on-lookers. People tend to forget that, and as a consequence they play the wrong game.
KM, any public that tunes into CNN doesn’t care about facts, no matter how calmly and maturely they are presented.
They’ve already indicated they are brain dead so the best course is to call them out, and have a bit of fun doing so, insults included.
“Far more effective to rebut such news stories with facts…”
Clearly you have not heard of Brandolini’s Law. Let me enlighten you, O seeker of Truth.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandolini%27s_law
Stated succinctly: “The amount of energy needed to refute bullsh1t is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it.”
The simple fact is that the news media is LYING and taking the time to disprove every single thing they say is pointless. We all know they’re lying. They know they’re lying. But they still do it, in the hopes of making the rest of us waste our time thinking about what they said.
Let ABC News find an intact uranium centrifuge hidden someplace, and -then- they can say “you missed one!”
Okay, let’s assume the media is lying. How should the administration react to that?
The way they shouldn’t react is how Hegseth did it. His petulant, complaining, defensive reaction plays right into the media’s hands.
Instead he should have not appeared terribly bothered by the CNN story, and in a mature and understated manner rebut it. This would have made it clear to everyone who the adult is.
Why not play to your base when calling the media liars? Especially since they -are- liars and have been for 30 years. Arguably longer.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed Marmot, but the #OrangeManBad administration is getting big approval from American Normies. Every time one of these guys says “they don’t know what the F-! they’re doing!” they get cheers from all sides.
Also, let us not ignore the fact that a murderous terror regime run by lunatics just had their nuclear weapons program shot out from under them, and you are here talking about “tone”.
What’s up with that? Can’t stand winning?
I agree. But the media needs to present evidence, which they don’t. Their first and only reaction is to undermine this Admin, after they have shown zero curiosity about the last one.
“…if they have evidence to that effect.”
I have not seen any. What I have seen is innuendo, stupid questions and outright lying from newsies, claiming that Iran’s nuclear industry is just fine, based on nothing. Or worse, they parrot Iranian regime propaganda as it it were actual news.
I’m still seeing claims that Iran shot down an F-35, based on the -exceptionally bad- Iranian photoshop job of a “aircraft” sitting on the ground. This is more of the same.
“Hegseth should have addressed the facts behind the allegations rather than playing the victim.”
He did. The allegations are false, everybody knows they are false, even the people making them know they are false. How you you deal with people making false allegations following a successful military operation? You call them out for lying, disrespect to their own armed forces, and disloyalty to their own nation.
” How you you deal with people making false allegations following a successful military operation? You call them out for lying, disrespect to their own armed forces, and disloyalty to their own nation.”
Unless you have a really acute case of TDS, in which case you don your ‘concern troll’ persona and try your hardest to lend those allegations a degree of legitimacy that they clearly do not deserve.
Piloting a B-2 for 36 hours is likely routine. Pound down enough uppers and they could fly until their next birthday.
Hey Scar – They did a pretty decent job, no?
I mean flying across an ocean while having to maintain the craft at around 50000 feet, dropping to refuel, returning to 50000 again, and again, delivering their 60000 pound payloads into targets the size of an elevator shaft and then returning across that same ocean, refueling, resting etc., etc…
Hmmmm…, not bad, eh!
Decent job? Sure. Why not? My uncle was a Lancaster pilot. He didn’t fly a computer.
Be nice. This was a precision strike halfway around the world. There is a reason we call pilot “operators” this is just the way technology influences airpower. Your uncle and these guys would have loved to have a pint and swap stories. There is mad respect for any WW2 flyers.
‘Signalgate’ strategic leakers hardest hit.
Their bombing campaign against Trump and Hegseth utterly failed.
And sayyyyy … how many of the B-2 crews were LGBTQueer?
