58 Replies to ““Trump is stunningly smart””

  1. Trump consistently gets his facts wrong, or at least grossly distorts them. I suspect he has no interest in getting them right. He knows he can BS with impunity, so he does. People now just shrug and say “Well, that’s Trump.”

Further, he hires people like RFK Jr. who take a rather similar approach to the truth.

The trouble with ignoring facts is that they eventually bite you in the ass. As the saying goes “The truth bats last.” That doesn’t seem smart to me.

    1. The trouble with ignoring facts is that they eventually bite you in the ass.

      The irony…

      1. Feel free to point out some fact you think I got wrong.

Accompanied by credible citations demonstrating I was wrong.

        1. I’ll give Dumb Biker is limited (and only) due in living right down to his handle. Truth in labeling and all that.

        2. When you state a fact, not a biased opinion totally missing the point of the video, we’ll get back to you.

        3. I would suggest the same to you. Feel free to point out where Trump “consistently gets his facts wrong,”
because to me, you’re just regurgitating lieberal talking points without any clear evidence.
Trump is employing a negotiating tactic, which is why he ‘appears’ to “grossly distort” the facts. Haven’t you heard of his book “Art of the Deal?”
And I am SMH over your suggestion that RFK Jr. “takes a similar approach.” Are you still spiteful because RFK doesn’t agree with you regarding the jab, even though the evidence continues to grow exponentially that he was (and we were) right all along?
You’re coming off as just another brainwashed lieberal refusing to accept reality.
          Case in point, see above!

“‘Biased’ apparently meaning something you disagree with.”

          Exactly!!!

          1. “even though the evidence continues to grow exponentially that he was (and we were) right all along?”

No it doesn’t. The data is rather clear on that point. Your whole id is elevated psychosis. ‘Art of the Deal’ is just a sort of holy phrase people like you invoke when you want religious validation of your ramblings. Cults gonna cult.

          2. RFK Jr.’s medical views are fringe or on the fringe of being fringe. His views on autism — that it’s caused by environmental toxins, possibly including vaccines — are out of sync with the best medical research and evidence. He has no business being the Secretary of Health.

          3. KM … I’m no RFK Jr. fan as he is a “true believer” in the mega-scam of global warming, and would go full Canada-stupid to “solve it”.

            However

He just made the most SCIENCE and STATISTIC-based decision any man in his position could make. He erased the recommendation that children and pregnant women get the utterly useless (and dangerous) COVID injection. Children are at statistically ZERO risk of COVID harm. Yet the mega-medical-swamp that is the CDC just defied him (see: Big Pharma $$$) and insisted CHILDREN still take booster, after booster, after booster.

Sorry, but RFK Jr. actually CARES about the chilllllldren … the CDC cares about their own political image … oh, and Pfizer $$cash$$

PS … my grandkids have not, and will NEVER take the Pfizer Russian-roulette injection.

        4. 1, The personal consumption expenditures price index, the Federal Reserve’s key inflation measure, increased just 0.1% for the month, putting the annual inflation rate at 2.1%, the lowest of 205. The monthly reading was in line with the Dow Jones consensus forecast while the annual level was 0.1 percentage point lower.

          2. CNBC’s Rick Santelli: “The income numbers, really, for the first four months of year — they’re stellar”

          3. Trade deficit down 47%.

          4. Jobs numbers exceeded expectations.

Shall I go on? I believe your quote from the other day was “tariffs are stupid”.

      2. “The irony…”

…goes right over his head, every time.

(and when UnMe is the first person to leap to your defence, you should probably rethink your position)

        1. When you have something resembling solid evidence, do get back to me.

    2. One of the things that annoys me to no end is people who speak in generalities never offering facts or a cogent argument. For example … we need: “comprehensive immigration reform”. But never offering even a single fact or specific proposal to define that slogan.

So KM hurls his/her/their accusations at 45/47 but never specifies exactly what Trump is getting wrong, or distorting, or BS-ing. Just empty sloganeering and slurring. Which is exactly how communists operate.

          1. Why do you think I call it “UnReal?”

The level of dissonance is incredible, isn’t it?
I mean, there has to be something wrong upstairs to be so cognitively ignorant of reality.

  2. there are 2 types of bullshyter.
the ones who cleverly bluff to throw off the opposition, protect someone, commit fraud, etc.
then the others on the extreme left for instance who believe their own lies, eventually with time lose track of the barrier between reality and fantasy.
    we’ve all met both types.
lm autistic. thru life l learned to cope by mimicry. what l also learned and realized most recently and applied, l learned to bullshyt real real good.

  3. A friend of mind used to joke and say, “if it wasn’t for the white man the Indians would be running around in loin cloths”. I believe he was right.

  4. Trump hasn’t read a history book in his life as he has zero understanding of current political situations being the sum of compromises based on 1,000 years of past interactions. He has also never read a economics book despite that economics degree Fred Trump bought him. It is rare to find someone to profoundly ignorant of economics.

          1. And all LIEberals are confused sociopaths!
Geez, UnReal… Give it a rest already with your smears!

        1. There, I would agree with you to a degree, KM. Trump is not fully a conservative, but he does share many conservative values, like love of country, and it’s history, his understanding on how the economy is supposed to work, his respect for religious values (although he himself may not practice all the time), his policy regarding law and order, and illegal immigration, and most importantly, his love of the constitution and the freedom that is defined within it.
There are many more examples I’m sure, but that’s all I can think of at the moment.

          1. “his understanding on how the economy is supposed to work”

Not even close. His tariffs will be — if they’re ever fully implemented — the biggest tax increase in US history, and completely out of sync with mainstrem economics.

This is what a conservative looks like:

            https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Mj6N-WBPrVw

        2. @ Marmot:
I’ll tell you what he is. Trump is a blithering idiot. You basically agree with that irrefutable statement except you state it much more politely.

          1. “Trump is a blithering idiot. You basically agree with that irrefutable statement except you state it much more politely.”

Yes, of course…because all blithering idiots are billionaires who current hold office as the President of the most powerful nation in the world. Irrefutable, for sure. If only he could be as smart as you, right? Moron.

      1. First of all, I reject Scar’s premise entirely. You can’t just say that “Trump hasn’t read a history book all his life” or “has zero understanding of current political situations.” without providing some kind of evidence, and still claim to be credible!
Trump was elected president, for gosh sakes… Not just once, but TWICE!!! Give him some credit, for cryin’ out loud. I think he understands the current political situation just fine!
As for your post, UnReal, well, rejecting scar’s premise pretty much pulls the rug out of your own credibility, doesn’t it? …as if you had any left.
Trump is no more lefty than I am, and I assure you, I am not a lefty! I am as opposite to being a lefty as I possibly can.

        1. “Trump is no more lefty than I am, and I assure you, I am not a lefty! I am as opposite to being a lefty as I possibly can.”

He was a Democrat for about the first 30 years of his adult life (he donated to Hillary, among others).

He didn’t become a Republican until the Democrats refused to let him run for President. The Republicans, who didn’t want him either, just had no mechanism to stop him.

    1. “Trump hasn’t read a history book in his life as he has zero understanding of current political situations being the sum of compromises based on 1,000 years of past interactions. ”

      LOL…okay, you go with that…

(all we need now is AllanS to pop up from the kiddie table and we will have all four of our regular trolls involved in this thread…)

  5. “Trump is stunningly smart” -said no smart person ever. He’s basically Stupid Person Savior. ‘The president is a know-nothing immoral boor so it’s okay for me to be one too!’. Trump is also falling apart mentally.

        1. Lad, there are full time employees at Cineplex who don’t project as much as you.

    1. Says the idiot who can’t recognize that the “basically stupid person” managed to amass billions of dollars over his lifetime, and get elected president TWICE!
Lieberals never cease to astound me with their incredible dissonance.

  6. 50% of Americans believe the US is on the right track. That’s an unprecedented number given past polls and the polarization of US politics. Trump is a braggart. So what? So far he is winning. I can’t define “intelligent” but he seems to know how to get things done that benefit his country. Wish we in Canada had such a leader.

    1. Rassmussen is not a serious pollster. In any event, reality beats belief and the reality is that America is going broke. If the American people think this is right track then the poorhouse won’t be any kinder to them.

      “So far he is winning”

Again: believe it is so does not make it so.

      ” I can’t define “intelligent” ”

LOL. Perfect summary of people like you. America’s ‘benefiting’ from Trump so hard that it’s going bankrupt.

      1. Rasmussen has been recognized as the most accurate of all the pollsters over the past two election cycles, but there again, your dissonance is showing.

“Again: believe it is so does not make it so.”
But IT IS SO!!! geez, UnReal… When will you open your eyes!

“America’s ‘benefiting’ from Trump so hard that it’s going bankrupt.”
This is getting tiresome! If there’s a country in North America that’s going bankrupt, it sure ain’t the US. Canada, OTOH… Just what are you going to say when our credit rating takes a nosedive, UnReal? I’m really interested in exactly what kind of spin you and your fellow libs will respond to that — More “Good News” I suppose, just like the current finance minister spouting lies about our GDP growth in the first quarter, when in fact, the figure he quoted in the HoC was FORECASTED for the current fiscal year!!!
…and when exactly are we going to see a budget. What we’ve seen for right now is half a budget… The SPENDING half!

  7. Either way, Trump will retire in 2028 and be followed by another Republican President, but after that one, the people will again vote Democrat forgeting the harm that was done last time.

The Israelites of the Exodus were an example of our fickleness. It’s too hot, Moses, not enough mana, I miss the Icons, let’s go back to being slaves.

      1. Sure, UnReal… Whatever you say! (Nurse… bring us a size 18 straightjacket and prepare padded room “C”. We got a live one here!)

        1. UnMe is just a troll. He doesn’t believe in any of the crap he spouts. In fact, I wonder whether he’s even 18 years old yet.

          1. He sounds like that grad student sudo-communist nobody wants to be around at parties.

  8. Trolling for the TDS sufferers?
    If so,sure worked.
Funny how the very same people who insist “Trump is an idiot”,embrace the output of Computer programs as “Artificial Intelligence”..
Could be,these people have never defined “intelligence”.

    1. I observe that they’re just a bunch of damaged people who are wasting their lives by arguing with strangers on the internet.

    2. Could be they don’t think about what “artificial” means.

Some people are just smart enough to persuade themselves that they are more intelligent than they are and that we are too stupid to understand.

    3. Ha! Yes … the same hard-left numbskulls who embrace AI programs that depict George Washington as a ‘blasian’ woman … insist Trump has never read a history book. SMH at stupid people rendering opinions about intelligence.

  9. Easy there Newt…all that Trump fluffery will get you pregnant. Trump is the reason I tell anyone who’ll listen that Americans have this unique ability to always right the ship even at the last minute. I shudder to think about 4 years of Harris/Walz, so did others apparently. Democrats pushed their strangeness too far and too fast and paid for it. (EV army tanks… seriously???) I often find myself wondering if someone like Trump could ever be PM of Canada. Sadly I think the answer is no. A lot of things would have to go wrong in this country for that to ever happen.
    51st State? Count me in.
    Canada hates me.

  10. Tribalism.
Pointing out Trumps tendencies to boast and exaggerate.
While being totally silent on Biden doing the same.

    All just noise.

  11. my understanding is the tariffs caused an immediate halt to some of the production lines in Chirer. and large protests are happening. are they related? lets hope so. lets hope a long term effect of the pain of tariffs causes mucho huge migraines for beijing bosses.

  12. Trump is smart enough to beat the full arsenal of demonic globalism twice (and probably three times), but in a perfect world you could always think of different approaches Trump could be taking to get our anti-globalist movement closer to a full victory. My fear is that globalism will outlive Trump, beat Vance on first or second try, keep de Santis out of the White House, and eventually consolidate the Obama-Halfobama (Biden) revolution in such a way that it will become unbeatable in future decades.

My hope is that Trump’s presidency will improve over a rather chaotic start and inspire a large portion of younger voters to support Vance in 2028 and 2032, further gains will be made, and we will somehow get into deeper restructuring to weaken globalist control of academia and media. I realize there is an alternative path for media but an alternate academic structure is not really in view yet, and we continue to tolerate brainwashing of kids at all age levels with globalist propaganda, most of which is either debatable opinion or outright evil (and harmful not only for being evil, but also dysfunctional and unsustainable, designed to weaken and terminate western civilization and open the door to some crazy notions of returning to pre-Columbian social norms — get ready to have your head chopped off in an Aztec temple if you’re under 40 and like that idea).
