Thursday On Turtle Island

Lord Carney’s Canada:  Another reason to hate Bono.  King Charles undercuts Canada’s sovereignty.  The Hamas Board of Education.  Genocide of Indians and now a genocide of gays in Canada.

Woke America:  Liberals against MAHA.  Black fatigue.  VDH –  Democrat albatrosses.

Stories You Won’t Find At Carney’s CBC:  The assault on freedom.  Things have changed.  Diversity is our strength.  Another ‘Save The Planet’ vacation.

    1. As soon as I heard the land acknowledgement in the throne speech, I stopped listening. Canadian Indians DID invent some useful things – dog sleds, tobaggons, snowshoes and lacrosse come to mind. They understood the concept of the circle – see medicine wheels on the Prairies, but could not “connect the dots” to make actual wheels to help with moving things. Even the mighty horse culture of the Plains Indians was due to the Spanish and English losing horses to the wild when they first landed in the 1500’s and then the Indians realized the horse could be of use.
Everyone is deserving of respect (I am also referencing the black fatigue posting) upon first meeting. But each individual only earns respect with their behaviour and attitudes going forward in any relationship, That goes for white people as well.

      1. The natives were/are a caveman culture.
Land acknowledgements are for self-loathing leftists.
If they truly feel horrible, then they should give everything they own to the natives, and relocate to their own native cultural country of origin. At once.
Funny how none of them follow through. It’s just political performance gymnastics.
I apologize for nothing. I was born here,
        I’m native too!

      2. Horses were just food to the indians until someone finally saw a horse being ridden.

        1. And what good food they are. It’s only the Anglo-Saxon warrior culture where horse is to be wasted by burying it.

IMO pork and horse meat should be obligatory in the Western school education to keep certain folks away – vegans to hell.

  1. “ black fatigue “

A couple weeks back I swear Wikipedia had a page for BF and now it’s gone. I guess the commies that run Wikipedia decided they didn’t like how sane people redefined what BF now means and they’re trying to bury it. Also – big surprise here (not) – Google seems to be playing the same game.

    1. Seriously, try for yourself. Search DuckDuckGo and then Google. DuckDuckGo’s results aren’t great but Google’s results are nothing but left wing propaganda. Google’s first result is a gigantic billboard for a stupid screed by what appears to be some racial arsonist grifter with a big ole DEI “consulting” firm (of course!).

  2. Bozo from U2 is still a total a$$hole. He has never even once called out corrupt leaders in Africa who are directly responsible for famine and killing, he is such a bigoted coward. If he had any courage he would call out the people of Africa for the way they spread HIV/AIDS, but he is absolutely too cowardly for that, especially since the continuation of the problem gives him money and power.

But he has set up multiple charities that his leftist politician friends can shovel money into. Rock star award for most egregious hypocritical ba$tard…

      1. “Bono? Is that the diminutive of bonobo?”

        South Park handled him best.

    1. Please note that you will NEVER see me post any of the banal music created by Bono and U2.

    2. There’s a reason he’s been whining lately about the cuts to USAID; pretty sure his One Campaign got millions from the US taxpayers.

They hit the IRS cap on lobbying expenses and just made a new 501c3 to keep on spending. Same board, etc. – clearly a loophole that needs attention.

I once spent an whole evening reading public tax filings from that, it was one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. For example, part of the description of One’s activities talks about how Africans are suffering from the effects of the Ukraine/Russia conflict. LOL… Also odd that on official US government filings where one would expect legal names to be required, he’s listed on the Board of Directors simply as “Bono”.

Also, for someone who complains so much about Trump, I seem to recall stories about Ivanka and Jared hanging out at his villa in the south of France a number of years back.

  3. To be fair, Carney and Bono have a lot in common, they are both tax cheats.

    1. I hope people can see in that image what you meant by “throne.” It took me a few eye-blink double-takes to get the full picture.

  4. “Stop clapping then,you wanker”.
The pretentious prick never got the message.

  5. Heh. Ref Democrat Albatrosses. Canada’s federal and provincial Conservative Parties suffer from the same stinking weights around their necks.

They support all the AGW crap; they supported turdo’s freedom suppressions; they support the persecutions of the Freedom Convoy leaders; they supported Big Pharma and the jabs; they supported Liberals on the anti-Trump front; they support on-line censorship of “inappropriate ” political news sites; etc etc.

But the biggest anchor of all is the cowardice and dishonesty that prevents them from (a) admitting they were wrong and, (b) changing directions.

  6. re: “Another reason to hate Bono.”

    51 reasons in all!

re: “King Charles undercuts Canada’s sovereignty.”
Well, we all knew that he was a leftist, authoritarian wonk long before he came to Canada, so no surprise there.

  7. When rich and famous people lecture governments on how to spend taxpayers money I tend to have very black thoughts that aren’t fatiguing in the least.

  8. If Bono loves Canada so much, he can leave his tax haven and relocate to Canada. After a few years paying taxes let’s see how he likes it then. This is the environmentalist that uses multiple cargo planes to haul his stuff around while on tour.

  9. The King just surrendered sovereignty of the Crown to the Chiefs. There is no longer any state nor reason to obey laws or pay taxes. All but the collectives of 1/16 or better indigenous DNA, are squatters or potential conquerors again. Have at it.

  10. Black fatigue: I thought this was about 3.5% of the population making up 50% of the actors in commercials and TV shows, but I was wrong.

    1. Let me suggest the term itself is an extension of the systemic racism the blacks accuse us of … “black fatigue” as if we are weary of seeing and hearing from black folk? Puhleeze!

It’s “racist fatigue”. We’re DONE with being called “racist” … when we’re not … racist. We don’t need AAPI month, just because Trump properly called it the Chyyynahhh virus. We don’t need land acknowledgments read from a teleprompter by a dying King of Pain. We’re DONE. We’re OUT.

Now let’s go back to treating each other according to the content of their character

  11. “Why do Irish people hate Bono? Specifically, when it comes to tax avoidance, why do we blame Bono more than other wealthy celebrities with expensive accountants?

Here’s the technical background. Back in 1969, Ireland made royalties on artistic works completely tax free to support struggling writers and artists. Decades later, that measure saved U2 millions on their music royalties. When Ireland capped the tax free element at €250,000, far above what might affect most artists and writers, U2 promptly moved their royalties operation offshore to the Netherlands to avoid an Irish tax bill.
The trouble with Bono is something else, and it has to do with two core contradictions. There’s a specific disconnect in the way he very publicly (and rightly) lobbies governments to spend more on foreign aid, while minimising his own contributions to government coffers. The phrase “not putting one’s money where one’s mouth is” gets close here.

He became a prophet without honour in his home country because he moved his profit from the country he calls home

Secondly, Bono has wrapped himself for years in the Irish flag, literally and metaphorically. For Irish people, this no longer squares with his taking active steps to pay less tax here. He became a prophet without honour in his home country because he moved his profit from the country he calls home.”

    1. And how many charitable Foundations (read: tax shelters) does Bono operate? Look it up … there are probably thousands of them across the globe. Bono behaves exactly like every other Billionaires and Billionaire-adjacent Rock Stars … pulling on a cloak of charitable work … disguising an elaborate tax shelter… while living at the pinnacle of luxury

  12. Why, oh why do we keep giving that nutbar May-be a platform? Who votes for crazy people like her? Oh, I forgot. BC Saanich and the Islands – lotus eaters and tokers.

    1. There’s little difference between Dougie’s cons and the libs nowadays. He’s no Mike Harris, that’s for sure.
