    I agree with Pierce above, it’d be much better if they’d cut their hours to this many each year and simply reduced their pay by half as well.

    They undermined everything while too many of our “countrymen” scrambled for safety tripped over themselves to obey. Want a poster boy for that remark? Just think about the Ontario guy with the double fingers and elbows up and all that insufferable shite.

  6. Political rectification will only be possible with someone with some real passion and ability to put this nonsense into words so Canadians understand what happens when a country allows itself to be fked up the a–.
    All it took was a bit of greed, a little coercion, a war over money, and a bill coming due for it all to pretty well put common sense and consequence for the guilty to bed for good.
    Amazing how easily it came to be when the time was right, ,slowly at first, and then she’s free wheeling right to the bottom.

    1. Warren, it appears that there is a scroll line on the RHS and the other months are peeking their heads up at the bottom. I think that if you got the tweet or are on X, you could scroll down to see the rest of the schedule.

      As it posts for me, it’s just a screen shot and there’s no scrolling.

      That said, there are seven and a half months showing with nothing on the calendar. Even if all the other months were booked solid (you can bet they are not), it’s still less than half a year in session.

      They get a week off in October, a week off in November, and three weeks off in December. Quite the grueling schedule. No wonder they need grotesquely fat pensions.

      They will “work” (to the extent that sitting on their asses, listening to each other pretend that anything said in the HoC has any meaning under Liberal dictatorships, constitutes “work”) for a total of 73 days this year.

    3. Yes, they were effectively handcuffed all fall and while present in HOC, were not able to do their jobs due to the Libs hiding the Green Slush Fund documents. Criminal that they can just perform that sleight of hand & poof! another scandal swept under the carpet!

And if carnage’s pet judiciary flips a couple more seats, you get the full meal deal – four more years of debt, MAID, green Hell on Earth, insane taxes, suppression of your so-called “fundamental freedoms”, destruction of any hopes your children might have for a future, and you might have had for grandchildren, more accusations of genocide, more woke horse crap, more “no core identity”, more “racist misogynists with unacceptable views”, more gun smuggling, more drug deaths, more crime, more Chinese money laundering and election interference, more church burnings, more bureaucracy and pointless regulation, until at least one province gets fed up and pulls the trigger – then so long, Peaceable Dominion. We had a good run but then we insisted on voting for morons who any thinking person could see were bent on destroying the country. Not once, not twice, not three times, but four frigging times.

    Even a flatworm, genus platyhelminthes, is biologically sophisticated enough to turn away from pain. What does that say about the collective mind of the Canadian voter?

  11. It’s much cheaper to have them NOT working. Trust me. And do you want them to be paid, officially, less money? Which makes them cheaper for “lobbyists” to buy?

    Pay them very well, keep them from working. Cheapest possible option.

  14. I can’t believe we are still forcing our MPs to work a 5 day work week, (when they work), what kind of society are we living in?

    1. I thought Friday was travel day. So Parliament is 6 weeks X 4 days = 24 days. Maybe it is time to reduce the wages of Parliament to a nominal amount.

  15. The senior bureaucrats do all the governing. Politicians are there simply to rubber stamp the bureaucracy’s wants.
    A senior bureaucrat’s wet dream is legislation that 1) puts all administration of said Act into regulation and 2) gives senior and middle level bureaucrats ministerial powers to make the regulations.
