  1. She sounds like someone trapped in a trauma bond:

“A trauma bond is a strong emotional attachment that forms between a victim and their abuser, often resulting from a cycle of abuse followed by moments of affection or kindness. This bond can make it very difficult for the victim to leave the abusive relationship due to feelings of dependency and confusion.”

    1. Damn! The definition of a trauma bond just helped me understand why Sask, Alberta, and most of BC remain dependent and confused.
      Waiting for more affectionate abuse!
And abandon hope of “WEXIT.” The urban areas of the west are conquered, as evidenced by the mayors of Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. Not sure about Regina or Saskatoon…

      1. The relationship between Alberta/Saskatchewan and the rest of Canada is not a healthy relationship. If you listed all of the red flags of a bad/abusive marriage and compared that to how Canada treats Alberta and Saskatchewan the problem (and solution) becomes obvious. And staying because they say “this time I’ll change, I promise” isn’t the solution.

  2. Seems the more referendum is brought up the more the left decries it. Seems they are very afraid of allowing people to have a voice. Perhaps they don’t trust what Frank Graves and his ilk are feeding the media. That we are a fringe minority with unacceptable views. If there is no stomach for independence then have a vote and end it. But I sense that if a clear question was presented and the issue debated extensively that their empire will be lost. “I love Canada” is not a sufficient argument. I don’t care what she loves…and I don’t want to know.

  3. Gee Carla Beck, and all other NDP MLAs. Perhaps you could try speaking so as to reflect the views of your constituents, ie the people you supposedly represent. My crystal ball shows me another hockey sweater cheer on the steps of the Legislature coming up.

  4. Looks like a lot of people in Canada want a new country. Curious that the left seems to be doubling down on trying to shame people for their loss of patriotic fervor, when it is the political left that has been undermining, traditional patriotism, freedom and the economy for years. They have altered the country to the point where many do not recognize it, and now they are harvesting what has been sown.

    1. Curious that the left seems to be doubling down on trying to shame people for their loss of patriotic fervor…

Not curious at all. The bastards know that they cannot offer anything worth staying for so they resort to their tried & true tactics.

    2. Dumb Biker (not at all!) got a major part of it, but I would add that the left is automatically anti-patriotism because they think that the glorious Marxist future is a post nationalist feature. Only after patriotism is buried can humanity be perfected.

They’re not smart or observant enough to realize the end-game of their ideals. (Hint – it involves composting.)

    3. I’m just hoping that the same people who counted the votes in the last federal election aren’t going to be counting the referendum votes.

  5. been a lot of years as a post nationalist country even though dummy had no idea what it meant .

got my F carney flag to replace my F trudeau flag took two days on amazon

  6. “I love Canada. I am not a separatist.”
Canadians stand apart to stand together and avoid all the elbows.

  7. Justin Trudeau claims that canada is a post national state.
Can you imagine other world leader claiming that their country is a post national state?

    1. “Justin Trudeau claims that Canada is a post national state.”
Well I guess he would know, since he’s the one responsible for it.

  8. The NDP have historically a reason to be worried. Upon hearing the message of the WCC in 1982 many ndp’ers left the party never to return.
They had no love back then for Ottawa.
