  1. 14 years to a mine for minerals in northern Ontario under a “streamlined process” that the First Nations will oppose, A.K.A. years before the streamlined process can begin. This country is a joke. That said, I hope someone in the US tells Blubber Dougie the next time that critical minerals leaks out of his mouth, that they are as real as Ontario’s EV industry, neither exists. Or they exist in the wet dreams of regulators who have mapped out an entire career in regulating the “streamlined process.”

  2. What we have done to the Natives by refusing them title to their lands, patronizing them with bribe money and forcing them to live as socialists is, seriously, a crime against humanity.

    Give them their lands and million bucks each, abrogate the treaties and welcome them as fellow Canadians. No more treaty money, no more corrupt “Chiefs” and “Tribal Councils”, no more special laws or treatment and fire the arses of every federal civil servant who currently feasts on their misery.

      Not all clans are on the same page.
      Some Indians want their people to be prosperous and others want them wanting.

    3. First of all there were never Millions of aboriginals in Canada. When the white man first Came Upon them they were spread out in teeny weenie weenie little enclaves . There were no cities or towns , and whatever there was there was stolen by aboriginals from other Aboriginal groups by War and Massacre . And just because their ancestors walked across a stretch of land to chase after a deer or chase after a woman to rape or a bunch of them crossed over a chunk of land to go over to the next Village and Massacre everybody there, doesn’t make these vast swaths of land, Indian Land. There are only a few groups of aboriginals across this vast country that can actually claim rights to chunks of land, because they developed these lands. Just because you walked across some piece of land 1,000 , or 500 or 200 or 100 years ago doesn’t make it your land. We should absolutely be giving these Indian groups land in Canada, each member of a tribe should be given a hundred acres each, all grouped together and that will be their land claim. Not a million Acres, or 10 million Acres handed out niggledy-piggledy.
      And any land claims signed in the last 10 years by Justin Trudeau and the liberal government of Canada are null and void because of the absolute incompetence and guilt-ridden self-hate of the White hand-ringing liberal wimps that participated in it.
      I’m so sick and tired of the insanity of Canadian socialist liberalism in this country.

    1. I read in another blog ( I think it was iotwreport.com) that there will always be cash (or maybe it was in a reply on this blog!). How else can corrupt government or corporate leaders be bribed? BitCoin, e-transfers all leave a digital trail, but good old cash in a paper bag does not.
      I think Canada is in for 12-18 months of recession – I have been through many. Our parents always said that “Cash was king, during a recession”. I am already paying tradespeople cash to do work around my house. It is time to batten down the hatches and ride out the storm.

Enjoy it while you can because this fall all those fat economic chickens from the lost Trudeau decade come home to roost, including a massive deficit, an unsustainable debt, a dispirited populace and serious talk of western separation (unlike Quebec, we keep our promises). Plus, Pierre Poilievre will be in the house, holding your feet to the fire. The NDP won’t be propping you up, although the separatist Bloc may hold the balance of power. So enjoy your summer and the brief flush of success before it all comes crashing down.

    There might be some important words in that wall of text… but the government has decided that words don’t matter.

  12. OKAYYYY!!! I, like many here have had it with the political effluent that I’ve been forced to wade through my whole life while being taxed and penalized to pay for it. It is way past time and enough is enough. The land acknowledgements, the elbows up, the foreign aid, the foreign student program, the abysmal education and health care, the special privileges for the special people, the lock-downs and bank freezes, and the experimental jabs for the common good, it will be a never ending story until enough of us act either by saying stop or in the extreme “taking up arms against a sea of troubles”, that may be a bit extreme but we are approaching that. First of all let’s get this ownership out of the way. Ownership only exists if you can claim and protect whatever it is you are claiming ownership of. That is the reason we have developed societies, with mores, customs and laws that are a common belief within said societies. Next let’s tackle the ‘our land’ claim as proposed by the we are the original, that is aboriginal, owners. That is easy to prove or disprove by DNA examination. If the claimants are only ‘early’ settlers then there is no claim. If they are truly aboriginals in North America then they have a choice either join in modern life or return to the days before the later settlers came. Either accept the mores, customs, technologies and laws that a superior culture has compassionately bestowed on you or live in the culture of you ancestors. Mankind has made many mistakes in the evolution process to gets us here, but to try and amend those mistakes only compounds them.
