This woke press conference, run by the RCMP, is a complete disgrace. Imagine if RCMP officers from 50 or 100 years ago could come back and witness what is going on today. They would be so ashamed of their heirs to this once mighty, proud national police force. “The RCMP in 2025: No longer true, proud, or free!”

My wife and I were at a concert at the local government arts centre, last week. At the start of the afternoon performance, there was a similar ‘acknowledgment’ without the French language version. As with the RCMP officer, failure to do so, would cause loss of government grants and access to the the facility for future performances.

Watching the entire video it appears that NS has an entire government website for for this nonsense. Thus is it the RCMP or the NS government?

I do not see a connection between the facade of land recognition and missing children.
Are they mentioning these peoples because they are of special interest to the search for these missing children?

Well Alberta had its own police force before the RCMP. It is long past time to get an Alberta police force. After all, Ontario got theirs over 100 years ago when it had half the population of the current population of Alberta. It’s a no-brainer, actually.
Agreed, Art. No one will take western separation seriously unless Alberta/Saskatchewan have their own police force with specific province-wide jurisdiction by legislation. Until that happens, separation is just a pathetic joke.

Well the truth is….NOBODY ever “owns” land….they own certain RIGHTS to land, but not the land itself. Bank accounts are private property….unlike “real property”.

For treaty six is explicitly “ceded”. It is not ambiguous. The others are not vague either.

By making the acknowledgement we are actually paying homage to the now recognized ‘Indigenous’ Peoples that raped, pillaged, murdered and genocided the original (if there were any) Indigenous inhabitants of this Hemisphere. These people that demand recognition as the original inhabitants are only the first wave of many migrant waves that have landed on these shores. They were not able to repulse the later waves of technically superiority that overwhelmed them. Today while we are so focused on land acknowledgement, we dismiss the latest migration that we are allowing to take unhindered possession of the land. At least the Indians fought to try and keep control.
This story reminds of the one a couple years ago where two little native girls followed their dad to a neighbours house. They both froze to death dressed in their diapers and little else. Of course dad wasn’t responsible for their deaths as he’s a native too.
