  4. I’ve long believed that the memory span of the average Canadian voter is, at most, 6 weeks. Any political events that happened before that are completely forgotten.

    How else does one explain the yearning for the golden days of PET, of which Carney shall be the current incarnation? But, like with the Trudeaus, that gold will be in liquid form.

    Do Alberta and Saskatchewan need any more reason to secede from this vassal state of America and become either a separate country or a fully fledged State of America with all of the advantages that will not be available to them in a country that is actually ruled by Quebecers. How can you awaken a group of people that have been sleeping for the last eighty years or more. If the Liberals get in as a minority with the assistance of the Bloc then perhaps we shall be rudely awakened from this nightmare we have been living for the last ten years.

      1. 30 years ago, I would have found Blanchet’s comments truly offensive and infuriating.
        Now, I find myself agreeing with him that Canada is an artificial state, only because the Canada I once knew no longer exists. After 10 years of what I can only describe as the worst government I’ve ever witnessed in my entire lifetime, I can say without a doubt that what has replaced this once great nation is something truly horrifying.

        If Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the rest of the west know what’s in their best interest, they would organize a cessation movement of their own. I’m already on board.

        1. As much as I hate to say this, but independence will be a fight in Edmonton. My riding, Edmonton Strathcona, has been NDP ever since Rahim Jaffer got booted because of his fondness for nose candy and canoodling.

          Right now, I’m sure that if the NDP ran a department store mannequin as its candidate, it would win by a landslide.

  6. Trudeau 0.2 gutted the Liberal Party leaving him as quasi-Emperor. When he unwillingly abdicated, Carney (smarter and more canny) stepped in. The Liberal Party can no longer control their leader like they used to be able to; Canada, under Carney’s thumb will decline even faster after his plundering of it.

    Real change will come from more of the same, the politicians who gave them perpetual bliss have also ruined the economy along the way, but it needs to be felt by the fat, dumb, and happy.

    1. By the time Kanuckistanians wake up, it’ll be too late. They’ll find that their democracy has been replaced with central government authoritarianism — aka a quasi-dictatorship, and they won’t be able to solve their misery with an election, because as Carnage has implied in his book, elections will take on a whole new meaning… that is if we even have elections in the future.

  12. The garbage national newspaper based in Toronto states Liberals are expected to win a majority while showing a poll that had L’s & C’s tied at 40% each. No predictions because the electorate is too stupid, all the cheating and Quebec.
