1. You could ask 100 average Canadians exactly how much the CBC receives annually from the public purse and I would be surprised if any answered correctly. They would be totally flabbergasted by the approximately $1.4 billion (yes that’s with a “B”) each and every year which would be increased if Carney became PM. In fact, of the 100 average Canadians, probably less than 10% even tuned into the public broadcaster. Surely the $1.4 billion could be used in a more beneficial manner such as improving health care, reducing the debt and the list goes on.

In 1984, the design firm for which I worked, was hired to identify all the fire alarm bells and all of the emergency exits in 2 of the buildings which were occupied by CBC (this is before their signature building was constructed on Front Street West in Toronto) and an ad agency. On the 2 floors which the ad agency occupied, they were clean, easy to navigate (NO clutter) and the staff were very presentable. On the rest of the floors which the CBC occupied and in the other building which was totally CBC, it was the opposite. Dirty, messy, NOT easy to walk through and the staff were surly and very ill-kempt. There seemed to be many gay men and “strong women in sensible shoes” (a nod to Robin Williams) who worked there.
   Call me crazy or old-fashioned, but I have very little respect for people who do not present themselves in a professional manner.

      When I worked at the CBC building in Vancouver many years ago, I couldn’t believe how many balding, 50-something men with pony tails were at work wearing shorts and sandals. And the state of building maintenance was appalling.

8. The lead story at National Newswatch was all about the “far-right” news organizations hogging the after-debate question period.There was no mention of the debate itself.
   So,I will assume Carney made a dismal showing, got his a$$ kicked.

Instead of listening to Fat Rosie and TDS Coyne howling about independent media being allowed into the debate we should be asking why Liberal government funded and controlled MSM losers like Coyne and Rosie are allowed to participate in the debate when they have a massive financial conflict of interest.
    Why is the Liberal government controlling who can ask them questions and what questions they can be asked?
