  1. “I don’t want to ..I learned not to comment on military matters….HIMARS don’t, Patriots don’t… Bradley’s don’t…..”

    Uh huh.

  2. The only big deal about the tariffs is they have Trumps name on them.. Same with the wall that never got built.. I do blame Trump for breaking the government grifter mold.. Measurable policy with a beginning middle and end..

    1. Busty
You should follow Paul C’s advice , and don’t comment when you don’t understand. I just explained to a friend, this morning, what Trump is doing with tariffs .

  3. So when Orange Hitler put on tariffs the stock market crashing, bond interest climbing and the dollar dropping was a sign of health? I’m not too sure about that. This guy is also one of those “prevent war by surrendering” people. Some random buttwipe that sells books.

  4. IMO, the US has done great damage to its international reputation. Perhaps they do not care. When you lose the trust of your allies though, and Trump is doing just that by his tariff actions, it will take a long, long time to win that trust back. Again, perhaps they do not care.
I do not have a problem with Trump. I like his policies. I think Canada could take a line from that. I just feel that he could implement these trade policies in a more subtle, diplomatic manner rather than like a bull in a china shop. With respect to trade and the US’ trading partners, Trump is an unreliable bully.

    1. “IMO, the US has done great damage to its international reputation.”

To its international reputation as a sucker and and easy mark, yes.

” Perhaps they do not care. When you lose the trust of your allies though, and Trump is doing just that by his tariff actions, it will take a long, long time to win that trust back. Again, perhaps they do not care.”

The allies that have imposed heavy tariffs on US goods coming into their countries FOR DECADES while selling their own products to the US tariff-free? Their ‘trust’ is irrelevant.

      1. I think a big problem are the non-tariff barriers caused by the US trying to export their Frankenfoods. Much of the world doesn’t want their, hormoned, antibioticed, GMOed food that have turned the US population into chronically ill, fat assed behemoths. I am not sure why Canada lets in any dairy products because of the milk producing hormones given cattle in the US. Otherwise tariffs, in reality, were a small fraction of Orange Hitler’s lies.

        1. ” I am not sure why Canada lets in any dairy products because of the milk producing hormones given cattle in the US. ”

Because any added bovine hormones (naturally present anyway, just enhanced) DO NOT end up in the milk itself, is why. Try again.

      2. You guys are as bad as Marmot, insisting that Trump owes all of us the respect and candour due to proven allies. As if the whole world hasn’t watched us dedicate the last decade to proving that we are dishonest, incompetent, hate-crazed pieces of shit who can be trusted much less farther than they can be kicked.

        1. I never once said Trump owed us anything. Keep lies to yourself.

I did say these tariffs are bad idea for everyone, Americans included.

  5. Rickards is wrong on tariffs. He ignores competition, alternative markets, volume reductions, less purchasing, and size of domestic production. Consumers will pay more unless the recession goes deflationary and then it’s moot.

  6. Why is the UK bent on sending more Ukranians to their deaths? Well … the LGBQueer world order will happily sacrifice Catholic Ukranians on the Putin heteronormative pyre.

    1. The Ukrainians keep fighting because the last time they didn’t and Russians killed as many as 12 million Ukrainians because they weren’t Russian. That was between 1917 and about 1950. Last time it was bullets to the back of the head. This time they will die fighting until the Russians get tired of dying. They have no choice.

      1. Nahh … they picked a naked swinging dikk to be their comedian beggar in chief. The LGBTQueer driven Biden Admin didn’t even TRY to conceal their War Plan. Make the world safe for Queers and deviants. Hell! Give Queers and deviants their own country! And their own cosplaying dikk swinger

          1. Or I am the perfectly sane one … and the Tranny worshiping political class will get you all killed for their deviancy?

          2. “You are ill.”

No, you are the one who is ill…with a terminal case of TDS. It forces you to make really dumb statements.

          3. scarp
I would say you are dumb as a bag of rocks, but than I don’t want to get sued by bags of rocks. Ukes are dying for the WEF/NATO as their proxies. The west is PO’d because Putin stoped them from raiding Russian manufacturing and businesses .

  7. So many intelligent (?) questions here and so many more intelligent (?) solutions that I fail to understand why anything needs to be said. Having SAID that perhaps the majority of the commentators here should lever their attention out of their navel examinations and focus on what is happening around the world. Trump and his tariffs have exposed a threat to the free world that 99.999% of the free world were unaware of what was happening around the globe. Now everyone and their neighbour has an opinion/solution and the sad part is most are blaming Trump for pulling everyone out of their bubble wrap. It matters not that over the last fifty years the Chinese Communist Party have been steadily and greedily eating our lunch and nobody gave a tinker’s damn about it! Trump points it out and the world immediately goes into a meltdown. Keep criticizing the man that exposed the problem and was able to implement a solution that every other politician in the West had turned a blind eye and deaf ear to, Yeah that criticism and vilification is going to benefit who exactly? For the love of humanity don’t for one minute critically think about what could have been if Trump hadn’t decided to run for President and Americans hadn’t voted for him. By the way how good is your Mandarin?

    1. Well the corporations relocated to Communist China to remain competitive. Period. The only way to lure them back is by carrot AND stick. Now all Trump needs to do is defeat the UNIONISTAS and the EPA’s over-regulations. Then we’ll only have to pay $40 more for our iPhones.

Negotiating tactics we all learned in Kindergarten. How? Why? Because human nature is human nature … is second nature … is the way of the world

    2. Ant
China had fiscal problems a couple of years ago, due to real estate, and if Trump now manipulates things so that manufacturers go else were, China’s whole economy may crash, and that would solve a lot of problems. Side effect is other nations clean up their acts , so that things aren’t so lopsided against the USA.

  8. Clearly the Trump administration began from a platform of “we must fight the nearly completed international globalist revolution and reverse it where possible” — and unfortunately (while that is exactly the right analysis) got some really bad advice about how to do it effectively.

On a personal scale, ask yourself this — your social contact is an asswipe, so do you (a) say, “you’re an asswipe, I expect you to change to a tolerable person, and if you don’t, I’ll beat you up” or (b) cut off relations with that individual and find better friends?

And if you live in a town where everyone is an asswipe, do you (a) found a church of Anti-asswipery, or (b) move to a better town?

Anyway, Trump got some details wrong with Canada, he jumped in before rather than after our leadership change election cycle ran its course, and altered the situation to everyone’s disadvantage (where everyone means all sensible people, in other words, 50% of Americans and you and me in Canada).

    1. I agree. I believe Trump misplayed Canada … thus far. However … because of his provocative tactics … Canada has revealed who they are. You’re ALL IN with Communist China. You’re ALL IN with unfair, imbalanced trade. So, while I’m willing to critique Trump for misplaying his tariff negotiations with Canada … he kinda played you. He got you to reveal who you are.

You know … one of the most important things I learned about manhood … I learned in middle school. What did I learn? I learned that MEN probe each other’s character by ‘giving each other stick’. Guys insult other guys. And lest you think this is just “juvenile” “adolescent” behavior … it’s not. It’s testing character and establishes a threshold for friendship.

If the ‘stick’ recipient cannot respond in kind with a complimentary bit of ‘stick’ … in a good natured way … but instead, whines and cries like a wimp or reactionary adversary… then it’s over. You don’t measure up for friendship. I’m afraid NONE of your Canadian leaders measure up. Nope … they’re whiny little wimps who go crying to mommynist China

      1. Do you remember Trump’s first term?
Do you remember that the first “Free Trade Deal” had expired and Trump made Canada and Mexico come to the negotiating table and dictated to them a new trade deal?
Trump is now violating the deal that he dictated and signed in his first term.
Can Trump be trusted to abide by anything that he signs with another country? I wonder.

        1. Yeah … trade deals are chiseled in stone … never to be renegotiated as conditions (and cheaters) dictate. The world is static. Just keep living in your pretend-world. You do you. We’ll do us.

  9. Biggest question not asked: Where’s the 3 Million Bbls/d of new oil production that DJT wants coming from at $50? Outside of such shining towers of Human Rights like Venezuela, Iran and SA, where?

The trend’s showing U.S. Prod’n is heading to almost 1 Million Bbls/d lower than forecast by the end of Q2. Will DJT really enable totalitarian countries to fill the oil void rather than U.S. domestic producers at a price worth developing at?

It’s telling that Rickard’s didn’t spend any time explaining who will drill to lose money.

    1. Didn’t you hear Trump say that the US was self sufficient in oil in his first term and all Americans had to do was vote for him and it would all come back? Every word was BS and nobody is going to drill for $50 oil. It was close to self-sufficient including Canadian and Mexican imports which are substantial.

  10. Lost all credibility when he started down the Zelensky is a Nazi dictator and there was a US based coup de etat in 2014. Good thing Kisin is from the area and could set him straight,

    1. rroe
So telling the truth looses one’s credibility you say, time fer you to go back to school.

    2. I missed the part where Kisin explained away all the murdered Russian-speaking Ukranians. Yeah, Kisin … not ALL Russian-speaking Ukranians hate Zelenskyyy. Thanks for your SNOPES “mostly bullshit” fact check. Sheesh … I think more highly of you than that.
