  1. Good news, but I should have stopped reading at ‘Press Progress’.

I did stop at “prominent journalist” though, which saves time.

    1. Yeah, seems PressProgress was pretty choked about Gilmore not getting to spew her BS.

  2. My guess is that CTV wouldn’t have done this if they thought the recent polls were accurate. They probably have internal numbers that tell them Marx C. will not be PM for long.

  3. Hey, Rache….. My nose runs for you.

She reminds me of that irritating kid who thinks he or she is the smartest one in the room and doesn’t hesitate to remind you of that (that he or she thinks they’re the smartest one in the room). Actual evidence for that belief is, of course, severely lacking.

Ahh…so much like our own Jessica, then.

  4. Just an incomprehensible hiring to start with. Social Media was on fire blasting CTV from the getgo.
“Factchecker” for someone whose existence has centered upon being a farleft mill dingdong with no reasoning skills.
As described in the link, she recorded her termination call with CTV. This should make her now completely unemployable and untrustworthy.
She defines a self-victimizing toxic personality that may finally end up living her OF dream.

    1. what did CTV expect? she would never “fact check” anything that the liberals or NDP has said, all it was was her leftist opinion, they could have gotten any NPC to go on and say “Apple Eater Bad! Central Banker Good!”

  5. Two nasty women bullshitting each other is icing on this cake. The hateful trolls that they are is revealed by her last quote in that article, she wanted to make the world a less shitty place, less of her will do that. People that love this world should run it, not bitter trolls like her.

  6. Only a maximal troll … whines that she is the victim of a vast right wing troll conspiracy

  7. CTV fact checks?

CTV news Winnipeg said that they were there to form opinions, not report news.

  8. I don’t know what I LOVE more about her clip. The concessional bureaucratese – “bandwidth”, “call down” – or the AWFL accents and tone of voice (that ridiculous Canadian pronunciation of “aboot”) or that despite the fake, forced civility, we are listing to two women who hate each other. Gilmore and CTV deserve each other
    Good riddance to both!!

    1. Corollary: I also just LOVE journalist Gilmore’s – who no doubt fancies herself some sort of intellectual tour-de-force – command of the English language – i.e., “conversation between you and I.” So cringe.

From the Internet: “In standard English, it’s grammatically correct to say “between you and me” and incorrect to say “between you and I.” The reason for this is that a preposition such as between should be followed by an objective pronoun (such as me, him, her, and us) rather than a subjective pronoun (such as I, he, she, and we)”

      From Merrian-Webster: https://www.merriam-webster.com/grammar/is-it-wrong-to-say-between-you-and-i

      1. Even April Wine knew it was “Just Between You and Me”. I don’t think any of the band members had journalism degrees.

        1. Ha! Our pal Myles Goodwyn (RIP) could at least compose a sentence.

FYI: Her LinkedIn bio said she went to Cartoon U for “journalism and human rights.” When Strauss went there during the Grunge Era, the journalism school students were INVARIABLY the most opinionated yet under-informed cohort, and always the most loud-mouthed ignoramuses (ignorami?) in any class. I remember a fellow student – let’s call him “R” (who ended up doing his PhD at Yale) – rolling his eyes at me whenever one of these J-School idjits started luxuriating in the sound of their own voice in class as if to say “there they go again”). Some things never change.

  9. The idiot Stephen Harper’s government used to regularly approve Bell Canada to buy another network or telecommunication company despite being shat upon by CTV every minute he was in office. All the idiot Harper had to do was reject one merger and the corporate people would have been farther up the news division’s backside than Putin is up Trump’s.

  10. Has Racheal found the deadly Diagolon Terrorists she was reporting on, yet?
CTV is amazingly out to lunch.
Hiring that as “Election Fact Checker”.
The evidence is in,government funded media is all in on helping the Carney Crew steal the coming election.
    Blatant Push Polling.
Licking the new Dear Leaders butt.
    And now this..
Hire a State Boot Licker as an authority of “Truthiness during an election”?
