Under the maritime decarbonisation strategy, boat owners will be forced to swap out diesel engines, petrol generators and wood-fired stoves for electric motors, batteries and extra shore power hookups. There will also be tax rises on marine fuel, with new boats required to be entirely electric.
So the Net Zero Carbon CRAZIES actually ARE trying to starve the population. They’re gonna certify the validity of Paul Ehrlich’s utterly FAILED prediction of worldwide food wars … aren’t they?

I catch myself hoping for PP to be elected, then I remind myself it doesn’t matter. Short of Milie style reform, Canada is dead. None of the folks on offer have the courage, nor do most Canadians. There’s a little caveat to the fishing industry that’s popped up over the last five years. While various countries around the world are toying with this Net-Zero nonsense on domestic fishing, the Chinese (ad hoc) fishing fleets are, basically, slipping in and “stealing” fish. They’ve done it in Yemen waters, Chile, Argentina, and yes, they have a reputation for doing so off the Newfoundland coast and destroy quite a bit of seafloor in the process. etc. They, usually get caught (kind of easy to see 3,000 deep sea fishing boats). I can assure you that they ARE using diesel engines, and have no plans to choose otherwise.
China over fished their own waters and are now harvesting world wide in violation of various maritime laws. Here’s an interesting little map that shows where they fish… It’s disturbing:

And I have no doubt the ChiComs are using AI to increase their hauls as they chase the largest schools of fish identified by everything from satellite to fishing reports on the water.

Elections have consequences. If I understand it right, the Canadian Government allowed foreign fishing fleets into Canadian waters in exchange for buying Central Canadian products.
