            ‘Cons’ seem to be exactly the same as Carney: opportunists who will say anything to get elected, and once elected go right back to the status quo that is driving Canada into the poorhouse.
            Poilievre *talks* a good line, for sure, but can he really be trusted given his past statements and actions?

  5. Stop being so damn nice. Pay the fee. Announce you have paid the fee. Announce that you will be at the French Language debate and Carney’s failure to attend suggests he is a coward and unable to defend his history and positions.

    Then center your campaign around it and call him “No Show Carney.” That resonates. Not just missing the debate, but also his extended history out of the country. You can’t go too deep into the policy wonk weeds when campaigning in a general election anymore. Keep it simple, relatable, and memorable. Rinse Lather Repeat.

  8. Well at least he’s starting to push back. He’s got a perfect set up from Saskatchewan, Quebec and Alberta with regards to going after the Liberal Party with regards to the tariffs and Liberal policies (general) and Carney (particular).
    Let’s see if he decides to use it; I cannot see any reason why not.

  10. This is a phony issue, Carney is going to show up for two official debates, one in English, one in French, on April 16th and 17th. The debate he is turning down is a third one with a Quebec TV station, and won’t be broadcast nationally.

    Funny how conservatives sound just like Liberals and Democrats when it suits their purpose. Whatever happened to integrity in reporting?

    I expect Polievre to thrash Carney in both debates and I couldn’t care less if he fails to show up for a Quebec only debate.

    Btw, after the last election, EC stated that vote splitting between the CPC and PPC cost the CPC 26 seats, later mysteriously reduced to only 13 seats by EC. I like Max too, but he couldn’t get elected dog catcher in this country,if we held elections for that job.

    I don’t believe in multiple citizenship so that makes Carnival Irish. I think. So how can he be King of Canada?
    Unfortunately I don’t trust PP and although the CPC says they will defund CBC BUT PP says he will keep funding CBC in Quebec. I will hold my nose and vote PCP if PP will commit to total defunding MSM. That includes ALL CBC.
    It really doesn’t matter what the clown Carnival really is. In 1968 I voted liberal (I was young and stupid). Pierre the turd opened my eyes and I have never voted liberal or below since.

    For many people I believe it may be for some confirmation bias.
    But I doubt that’s the case for the Fwench.
    They don’t pay attention to the ROC except during federal elections and when they want free shit.

      I haven’t watched a debate since they allowed Elizabeth May to participate….and even having the NDP there is a stretch, never mind the Bloc. I much prefer the American format where it is between the only two possible winners.
