2. People talk about “when it was good.”
   I watched a bunch of old SNL clips recently, 50th anniversary best of stuff…. I’m starting to think, besides a few classics, it was just never very good.
   One or two watchable sketches per show, the rest absolutely suck and are painful to sit through.

   3. And the decent bits they did have were beaten to death, or worse, they took things that were barely good enough for a five minute sketch and tried to stretch them into a two-hour movie…

3. Was SNL ever good? Not good enough to get me to stay up for it, back in the day. Maybe they found the odd acorn now and again, but the show was pretty much crap every week. SCTV, same story. More miss than hit.
