    (above at 11.54am roaddog… this year, I did have a similar thought too) #Librano polls are showing they’ll win, so I did expect they’d change their tune on an election.
    At this moment, I’m leaning to what President Donald J. Trump said about having to deal with the #Libranos instead of the Conservatives. My vote is for separation, though it’s not on the ballot.

    I’m done with tier 2 Canada, regardless of whoever wins this.

  4. He has to call an election now, for two simple reasons:

    1) his popularity will only decline. The more Canadians see and hear him, the more they will despise him; and,

    2) he cannot allow the house to resume sitting where PP will be lambasting him daily and he will be sitting in the visitors gallery unable to reply.

    It’s now or never. Any other choice is worse.

    When will Carney actually talk to Trump to at least formally introduce himself as our selected PM?
    Will he call President Xi to complain about 100% tariffs on agri effecting mostly Saskatchewan which has no representation in his new cabinet?
    Is Trump just playing games when he says he doesn’t respect Polievre?
    When will the CBC again question Carney on what is in his blind trust? Will any media follow up?
    Does Brookfield have any investments in Australian radar 6.5 billion dollar deal?

    2. There is minimum 36 days in a Federal writ period and as far as i know Election Day has to be a Monday. I`d expect the call on Monday the 24th if it is April the 28th.

    It’s quite a list, much of it directed at resource management, a few items which I cannot see the federal #Libranos or other federal gov’t agreeing to formalise. I wouldn’t have any conversation with anyone federally without mentioning the monstrosity that equalisation has grown into, or that AB is far under represented in both sides of parliament compared to 6 other provinces. We’re never going to win that argument, we’ll only be equal after we’ve separated.

    As I said on her FB page, I’d expect the federal gov’t to agree to this, then to fail to follow through, in other words, I expect them to lie about it, and hopefully it all blows up in their faces.
    The Premier has mentioned the likelihood of a constitutional crisis if these demands are not met.

    and I can only hope so, as well as the zero possibility of Albertans accepting, “well, we tried” which swept everything under the rug for so long.
