      To late, it has already happened in MB. Wobbly Canoe the cracker jack, NDP Premier of MB recently announced his knife registry. All machetes and long knives to be locked up by the sellers, sales only to 18+ and the purchasers name, address. etc stored for a minimum of 2 years.
      Registry not working so well as the stabbings continue mainly within the Diversity is our Strength individuals.

        Amazon has some great products, Dalstrong Gladiator Series is my preference, though they no longer carry the 16″, only a 10.5″. 15 dg single edge, NSF rated ThyssenKrupp high carbon steel. Most of the collection is 17 dg dual edge, just a great collection.

      A magazine is a magazine, you can get large capacity magazines to fit the SKS, that’s no secret.
      Basically any magazine that fits in any semi auto can sustain rapid fire, it just depends on if you want 5 rounds or 10 rounds of fire.
      Larger capacity magazines are usu pinned to 5 for rifle and 10 for pistol, modifying them to fit thier true capacity is highly illegal. I suspect those longer mags will soon disappear.
      One weird thing about mag capacity in canada, is it is the magazine that drives the capacity, not the gun. i can take a magazine meant for a pistol and install it in a rifle and if it fits, it’s legal.
      same with another magazine that say only fits 3 large calibre rounds, but could hold 15 smaller caliber rounds, if it fits the gun, it’s also legal. They are starting to crack down on those, now, despite being over $100 a mag and near impossible to find.
      .22 caliber remains an outlier, no capacity limit, EXCEPT the ruger 10-22 as they make a pistol version, less than 500 exist in canada, but any mag for those is now limited to 10 rounds, but other .22 are limited. Some other .22 like the GSG are now considered banned, but only because of thier looks.
      Bolt action, no limits, but they are working on it, as some bolt action mags fit other rifles, including semi automatic ones..

  9. The “yellow flag” law being included here is alarming… if you suspect your neighbor has a gun and he/she “has a temper” you’ll be able to report them without having to face any consequences of being wrong.

    My question is… after I’ve reported my neighbor for “an infraction” will the police linger long enough to see all those stolen car parts in their garage, and the possibly illegal cheese in their fridge beside the unpasteurized milk?

      The Trudeau government has already said that they were destroyed because they were not fit for front-line warfare in Ukraine. Aka semi-auto not fully auto, among other deficits.

  16. I and tens of thousands of other Canadians have had AR15s in storage in our houses since 2020. They are right there in our gun cabinets alongside all the other firearms. Readily accessible. The ammo is cheap and plentiful. Not a single one in those 5 + years have been used to commit a crime. Not a single PAL holder has been convicted of a gun related crime and yet violence using guns has escalated at an astronomical rate. It’s almost as if law abiding gun owners weren’t the problem.
