Down The Primrose Path

Zelensky just shat the bed.

Full exchange.

I wonder if Ukraine wishes now that they’d kept that prosecutor.

    1. “just took back a chunk of Toretsk with ease?”

Toretsk is under Russian control, Ukrainian assault units are making attempts at infiltration.

After 3 years the never-ending propaganda is wearing a little thin….

  1. Isn’t really surprising to Vance that they need a draft to defend their country against a much larger one? The US invaded Vietnam with conscripts. An offensive war.

    1. An offensive War? Nam? Invaded? What a shame that our Universities have become so thoroughly infected with communist apparatchiks. Moron.

And when it became apparent Nam was just degenerating into an endless meat grinder with no politically viable pathway to bombing the black pajama tunnel dwellers into the pre-stone age era of their ancestors … (R) POTUS Richard Nixon ended that shitshow. Just in time to prevent ME from being drafted. You’re an idiot. And every South Vietnamese refugee I know would spit in your face.

      1. I was just a kid during the Vietnam conflict, but I grew up with the understanding that South Vietnam was under threat from being taken over by the north. I never once considered that the “US invaded Vietnam.”
One of the reasons I grew up believing that America was a shining beacon on the hill (or however the Reagan quote went), was that America always stood for freedom against threats of totalitarian communism. That’s what comes from having an uncle (by marriage, who is no longer with us) teaching me what America was all about.
Am I wrong about what my uncle taught me about America? Am I wrong about Vietnam?
That’s why it pained me so much during the Biden years in the Oval Office (I still can’t accept that he was elected president, so I won’t refer to him as “president.”), to see that shining beacon dimmed to the point where it very nearly was extinguished.
And that’s why it pains me to see our two nations engage in a trade war, because I always believed (up until about 10 years ago) that our two nations shared the same common core values of freedom and accountability. I have become so disolusioned by the politics of this once great nation, that I reevaluated my own patriotism, and discovered that the Canada I grew up being proud of no longer exists, and that my values now align with the US, which has never changed its core values. To paraphrase Reagan (again), I didn’t leave Canada. Canada left me!

        1. Interesting perspective. Rings true, but many Canadians are in denial about how the country has changed.

      2. Hey Kenji,

As always I appreciate your take on thing’s. You should have your on blog….

A reminder….it did mention not feeding the beast….AllanS and his ilk need the attention. Keep writing ✍ ignore the narcissists….

        Cheers,

        Peter

      1. “It just might. Too early to be talking exile?”

Talk about ‘biting the hand that feeds you’…Little Z is toast.

    1. That’s basically what they told him , but in polite terms.

At that point Zelensky should have shut his mouth , and immediately after leaving the Oval Office , claimed asylum in the US , as returning to Ukraine is a death sentence. Zelensky however may be a good con-man but he is none too bright it seems to offend the hand that feeds and protects him.

Zelensky however may be a good con-man but he is none too bright it seems to offend the hand that feeds and protects him.”

Isn’t it amazing that *we got to see* that whole thing? Wow. This would never have happened with any other President.

Love him or hate him, with President Donald Trump what you see is what you get. Kudos to JD for stepping up, too.

    2. Autism Capital on X has the 7 minute version ….it was pretty intense for more than the 2 minutes on this link!

  2. At the very least, little Zelensky could take some inspiration from his Nazi idols and dress in a sharp Hugo Boss suit instead of looking like he’s about to appear on romper room and take an afternoon nap.

      1. I highly suggest Zelensky find the little boys tuck-under panties at Target … his EU LGBTQueer “handlers” would be so proud.

    1. His manner and dress are disrespectful to the whole country. I think he just lost many American sympathizers.

  3. JD Vance. Certainly NO Kamalamadingdong or Jill Biden whichever you believe was the last VP

The CIA must be shitting their pants … frustrated that JD doesn’t have a penchant for every vagina that throws itself open for him. No leverage against GOOD men.

    1. I’ve been impressed by Vice President Vance in the past, with his selection by Trump as VP, and this is a good example of him being engaged in the conversation, not taking a back seat, and telling Zelensky the way it is.
      A realist…
      Good stuff.

  4. Probably had something to do with Trump calling Zelensky a dictator in public. People are funny that way.

      1. Kate….there is a 7 minute vid of the whole ‘exchange’ on twitter.
        Autism Capital has it.
        It is amazing!!!

        1. Am I banned?? addendum: apparently not despite not getting through replying to Kate’s “I wonder if Ukraine wishes now that they’d kept that prosecutor” comment above and in the post.

          ‘Perfect’ phone call
In July 2019, Zelenskyy was anxious for a meeting with Trump at the White House, one of the Ukrainian leader’s top foreign policy priorities at the time.

During a 30-minute call, Trump dangled the possibility of a face-to-face meeting. But he also suggested that future U.S. military support for Ukraine might be contingent on its leader helping investigate business dealings there by Hunter Biden, the former vice president’s son.

The elder Biden was competing for the Democratic presidential nomination, and Trump seemed to want to weaken him 15 months out from Election Day.

Trump denied wrongdoing and began referring to his exchange with Zelenskyy as a “perfect” phone call. Even Zelenskyy later insisted that he faced “no blackmail.”

But Trump was impeached by the Democratic-controlled House in December 2019 on abuse of power and obstruction of justice charges, only the third American commander in chief to be in that situation. He was acquitted by the Senate.

    1. “C” may now regret his recent post. I don’t think Trump ever changed his position regarding if Z was a dictator or not.
Remember… DO NOT underestimate Trump’s resolve. Canadians may be heaving a sigh of relief thinking that the tariffs won’t come into effect until April, but they would be wrong. It’s almost a certainty now that tariffs will be applied on March 3. It’s the ADDITIONAL RECIPRICAL tariffs that will come into effect on April 2.

      1. “C” may now regret his recent post.”

Why? Trump going back and forth and then back again, only confirms the point I made yesterday.

The fact that Zelensky is tone deaf, which I have been saying many times, since firing of Zaluzny and the disaster at Vilnius is a separate matter. He is courageous but he is tone deaf and it had to come to this for him to finally realize how badly he has overplayed his card. He did the same thing in Poland, then in Germany then in other places.

The fact that many here are celebrating a death of a nation that will only lead to another much larger war in Europe is yet another matter.

        1. I suppose. If Trump actually had a deal ready to sign with Z, who he thought was a dictator, that would imply that Trump is negotiating with a dictator. Would trump actually deal with dictators? He dealt with Kim of North Korea, so I would say yes, he would deal with just about anyone.
That clip you cited where Trump responded with “Did I say that?” to the question of whether or not Z is a dictator, could be attributed to sarcasm.
So whether Trump “goes back and forth” could still be simply a matter of opinion. You may be right about Trump, but at this point, it is still an opinion.
It’s really hard to peg Trump’s characteristics. What I am convinced of is that Trump truly wants to be a peacemaker.

    2. Smart people “get over it” when they’re on a hill only they will die on. Leaders put their people first, not last.
Zelensky should have kept his yap shut. He clearly wants it all, the Donbas, security “guarantees” and largesse.
Instead, he left empty handed and now subject to lose funding, his oligarchical slush funds of US aid gone.
If he thinks Europe will pick up the US slack, he’s not just a corrupt dictator but a fomenting fool at that.
Trump holds all the cards. Smart people accept that and act accordingly. Power mongering kleptocrats do not.

    3. “Probably had something to do with Trump calling Zelensky a dictator in public. ”

Which in turn probably had something to do with Zelensky accusing Trump of spreading Russian disinformation.

  5. Cue the Russian love fest, which I don’t understand on this site. Zelensky is part of a corrupt government, but he is fighting a much larger corrupt government that holds animosity towards us. The real trick is surviving the game long enough for Putin to be gone, so that there can hopefully be a correction in Russian direction. The Russians real worry is the Chinese, so their little smash and grab gambit that failed in Ukraine was sheer stupidity.
Publically weakening your ally is clearly the US’s way to force them into a deal they do not want to make. It may seem clever to them, but it sends a terrible message to your allies. The US has a habit of conveniently forgetting who their friends are when it is convenient. This public display will not make them any new ones.
The goal from the get-go has been to bring Russia and the US closer to combat the Chinese threat, but so long as the maniacal Putin is in charge, that isn’t happening.

    1. Can you give one example of a public action by Putin that can be described as “maniacal”? Vladimir Putin is clearly the most intelligent, rational, calm political leader in the world. You may not like him but you are delusional if you think he is a “maniac”.

      1. DCH …

NorthBayTrapper seems to have been eating too much raw rabid fox meat lately. If he is so anti-Russian and wedded to Ukraine perhaps he should take his trapping skills to Ukraine.

      2. I am not sure if this is sarcasm or just plain trolling. The list would be too long so I will make a short one.
        1/ Assassination of political opponents
        2/ Imprisonment of political opponents
        3/ Assassination of dissidents abroad
        4/ Annexation of other countries
5/ Support of terrorist networks via Syria and Iran
6/ The falsifaction of the pretexts for war with Chechnya.
7/ Destabilization of of Russian neighbours to faciliate future annexations (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia)

        1. You consume mass quantities of MSM BS.
          Still masking?
          Got all your Clot shots?
You have posters of Trudope on your ceiling?
          “Were all in this together!”
          Disgraceful putz

      3. Putin is the closest thing to an early-20th-century fascist dictator there is in the world today.

        1. Uhhhh … you missed Kim Jong Ill and Dear Chairman Xi (for life). What narrow little world do you live in?

          1. “Why not try Kim from North Korea? Hamas? Iran? Afghanistan?

            Nice try, though.”

Not really. KM is just phoning it in at this point, because lately every time he makes a serious propaganda effort he gets his ass handed to him.

    2. Countries don’t have friends, they have interests and at least Trump understands that, if no one else does.

      1. I do agree that most of the alliances in the world follow this pessimistic outlook, however, there are alliances that are so old and engrained that they truly move to the level of friendship. Canada-US, Canada-UK, for example.

        1. Considering the WEF’s and CPC’s influence on the Trudeau government Canada has ceased to be a friend of the US.

And Zelensky just publically showed he wasn’t an ally of the US but an antagonist.

      2. If there was a mineral deal between the U.S. and Ukraine, then the U.S. would have a significant interest there. That interest would be worth assisting Ukraine, and maybe telling Russia to back off.

As it is, the U.S. has few significant interests in Ukraine. Maybe less so now.

        1. The Clowns In America had 20ish bio-labs in the Ukraine and used it a hub for one of the largest child-trafficing networks on the earth.

Debatable whether it was US controlled, but Barry and Joe and Hunter and many others were well aware and profited from it.

    3. “Publically weakening your ally is clearly the US’s way to force them into a deal they do not want to make. It may seem clever to them, but it sends a terrible message to your allies. ”

Your ally really should learn when to keep his mouth shut.

      1. Fred, if the US wishes to have allies abroad, and people willing to risk their well-being to help them, they need to fix this method of doing politics. Those groups will soon dry up. Just saying. I am not a fan of Zelensky or the Ukrainian government. I have a deep affection for Ukrainian people though, and the solidity of the alliances between democracies abroad.

        1. Where will they find them? An ally implies military support. There isn’t a western country with anymore than a token military, somehow the US has been expected to protect them all, gratis.

    4. If we stopped hating and vilifying Putin and Russia, you my be surprised to learn that what Putin wants is ..
He wants in! He wants to trade ….
Russia has much to offer the world, Russia the Largest country in the world and it is chockablock with resources that the EU and others need.
Putin wants security and prosperity just as we do. Trump understands that, because … he, like Putin, is highly intelligent and very smart. (There is difference). You must have encountered the “intelligent idiot,” our universities are full of them teaching young people.
Screw Ukraine, they are as corrupt as Trudeau’s Canada.
      Zelensky is suicidal

    5. “The real trick is surviving the game long enough for Putin to be gone,,,”

I am afraid it is not that easy. The Siberian beast is never satiated. Ever since the Mongol Empire squatted in the bushes and dumped Muscovy the story has always been the same. Russia is not product of Pootin. Pootin is a product of russia. Until russia is neutered this will continue.

  6. How many dead Ukrainians will little Hitler be happy with?
    2 Million?
    3 Million?
    8 year olds?
What an execrable little dwarf that fcker is. The nerve of that shyster.
Enough is enough, cut him off, let him twist in the wind.

      1. The best thing that could happen for individual liberty and affordability would be to welcome American annexation and say goodbye to whatever sovereignty Soviet Canuckistan has left.

          1. I might not be, but there’s a sizeable number in Toronto & Ottawa who’d be perfectly happy.

      2. How many Québécois would die to prevent Alberta and Sask. from defecting to the USA? Yeah … some sternly worded letters and motions filed at your Supreme Court

        1. I agree, there are tools in this country. We did have conscription in two world wars to aid our friends and that is viewed by most in this country as honourable. The Quebec problem, is just that, a problem. Did you want to be American while under Harper?

          1. “Did you want to be American while under Harper?”
            HELL Yah!!!!!
Harpo was a complete failure on several fronts, he made it so a bank could give your account (all of them) a hair cut when over stressed.
Harpo did not fire some of those in a department with 1300, when 4-5 were sufficient. Harpo did not push back when a government Harpy dictated protocols to him.
Harpo thinks the world is 4500 years old
Need more? Go do yer own home work!

      3. That’s the Ukraine strategy, numbskull. They’ve wiped out most of their fighting age demographic, now it’s been conscripting old guys and kids, and of course, they’re preying on wymyn now. Smart Like Truck!
They have been losing, they ARE losing, and THEY HAVE LOST.
Remember, the Russians were in spitting distance of Kiev, but backed away, that was never the objective. Grabbing the eastern oblasts was, where the ethnic Russians were being genocided by your Nazi friends. Since 2014, the year the USAID CIA staged a coup and overthrew a democratically elected president of Ukraine.
Stupid, you’re just another MSM worshipper, unable to see the lies the Uke Nazis, Bidihn, TruDOPE and his Euro fairy friends have been spinning.
        History didn’t start in 2022.

        1. “Remember, the Russians were in spitting distance of Kiev, but backed away, that was never the objective.”

You seem to have forgotten the columns of stalled Russian tanks aimed at Kiev from the north-east and north-west in the opening days of the war. They weren’t there just to spit.

          1. In 2015 I had a guest from Eastern Ukraine over for Christmas dinner. She rather matter of factly told me that her mother’s house was shelled the night before. Naively I blamed Russia. She corrected me. It was Ukraine that was doing the shelling. I found that hard to believe but upon further investigation I found out that she was telling me the truth. Ukraine started that war. Yes it had help from the US and Europe but still Russia was responding not initiating.

        2. Call me names? Wow, it really hurts when a strangere calls me numbskull. The Ukrainians never chose the war. The say that the Russians chose not to take the capital is laughable. You are a mindless zealot who will do anything to fit in with the “cool kids”.

          1. History didn’t start in 2022 Adolph. But all you Azov apologists quickly omit anything counter to your feral hatred.
Ukraine is stupid and has destroyed itself and most of its infrastructure. Congratulations.
Enjoy giant mouthfuls of MSM propaganda.

        3. Call me names? Wow, it really hurts when a stranger calls me numbskull. The Ukrainians never chose the war. The say that the Russians chose not to take the capital is laughable. You are a mindless zealot who will do anything to fit in with the “cool kids”.
As for the MSM, I loathe them. The rest of your rambling trope doesn’t make sense, so I’ll leave it.

      4. Northbatrapper is a moron.
Why he thinks Canada is actually a sovereign nation eludes me.
Canada is a source of resources for the globalists.
The USA used to be a source of military power for the same gang, but Trump is changing that, much to the Rapper’s chagrin.

        1. yeahwell, calling me a moron? You know nothing about me. You obviously cannot handle people with different views than your own…you’d make one hell of a good Nazi. Ya zealot.

      5. Zero.

There hasn’t been anything keeping this country together since Trudeau 1. The East has always screwed the West over, and we would be infinitely better on our own.

Quebec has proclaimed and demonstrated repeatedly that it wants out, despite raping the rest of us.

There is nothing that Canada stands for today that I would die for, let alone spend a penny on. Ottawa is so corrupt, commie, and anti-Canadian (back when that meant something) that there is nothing left to save.

      6. Progressives love forever wars so are never interested in the human cost because they simply don’t care.

      7. Exactly none, since it isn’t sovereign. When you rely exclusively on another country to defend you and your borders, you have as much or as little sovereignty as your protector decides.

  7. Feel incredibly saddened by what’s happened to a country where both my grand parents were born.
Grandmother german Mennonite and father Russian.
No matter which position you take Ukraine has mortgaged its future with everything of value that defines a nation.

    1. True. Bad leadership led to this. A truce could have occurred before the war and in April of 22. But bad leadership prevented that.
The penis piano player is just an actor, not a leader. It shows.

  8. The fact that you people think that fat senile pig and his greasy, servile little henchman are in the right here explains why Canadians hate your entire political philosophy and why it will never find traction in this country outside your inbred bumpkin hick small towns

    1. Repeat that standing in front of a mirror.

Only then will you understand why you fail in life.

  9. Awesome. Trump just scuttled the Peace Deal … and America will withdraw all support of the Ukraine meat grinder. Good Luck Ukraine and Europe fighting Russia! Maybe the Obama or Clinton Foundation can send some more blankets?

    Goodbye Ukraine. Well done CIA!

Puppetry of Zelensky’s pennnis on full display

    1. Way to go Trump and Vance for fully exposing yourselves as Putin puppets, in case there was any doubt left!

      1. If I were a Ukranian… I’d be impeaching my President and calling for a new election. Immediately!! Zelensky is still the (old) CIA’s puppet on a string. Sorry dude … no USAID money coming your way.

        1. Zelensky would have to allow the very elections that could remove him from corrupt office.
Not going to happen, he will continue to feed the meat grinder to consolidate his hegemonic oligarchy.

          1. Zelensky can’t call a presidential election even if he wanted to. That authority rests with the Ukrainian parliament, not the president.

        1. Putin and I agree on one thing, and one thing only so far as I can tell … that the LGBTQueers should not be allowed to pervert our children and infect every institution in our nations.

Yeah … the EU, Britain, NATO, and Ukraine all disagree with me and will send every last young twink to die for their perversions.

    2. Remember Trump’s meeting with Starmer yesterday? After complimenting British fighting forces he slyly asked Starmer if they could take on Russia themselves? Starmer did not answer and Trump quickly moved on.

  10. Ouch that was tough to watch. I actually felt sorry for Zelensky. Kind of like getting smacked down by the wife after forgetting to take out the garbage two weeks in a row. You know she’s right but did she have to be so effective in the smackdown?

I hope Zelensky is not foolish enough to rely on Europe to fight his battles. Like Trump said to Starmer yesterday, “do you think you could beat Russia” to which there was no response. Sign the deal Zelensky and let’s start saving some lives.

    1. Elensky should not have put so much artificial courage up his nose just before he met Trump. He seemed unable to shut-up for 20 seconds and not talk over Trump and JD.

  11. Every Canadian politician, pundit and partisan press putz should be made to watch this, to see what happens when you try to create a US outgroup and Trump scapegoat to enable elections, that the tough guy routine with Trump and the United States is a guaranteed loser for the people, who hopefully will not tolerate such statist shenanigans. I just watched Poilievre rip Carney to shreds in previous committee testimony, which is why the latter will likely try to duck debates because, as fellow elitist Kim Campbell once opined, elections are not the time to discuss important issues which the neo-regals will handle, who aren’t interested in the peasants’ opinions on such matters.

It will fail imho with yet another progressive shatting the bed in a similar manner to Zelensky, who thinks he can lecture the President and VP and interrupt with them with threats of his war and corruption, coming “across the ocean.”

  12. Putin is a thug. Zelensky is a crooked little grifter tyrant. The only thing I really care about is all the people dying on both sides and the constant threat that someone is going to push the wrong button.

    It has to stop.

    1. Exactly this!!! And why is it so hard for people to get this???? And why do so many want us in the West to bankroll this crap???

    2. Yes. The priority right now is to STOP THIS BLOODY, INSANE WAR!!!
If Trump has to “dance with the devil” to get this done, so be it.

    1. That’s Trump’s point … he’s got no wad to shoot. Low-T doesn’t even begin to describe it.

  13. Pure speculation, but intriguing none the less:

    1. Last week’s EU emergency Summit concocted what we witnessed today.
    2. One participant in that summit (Giorgia Meloni) not only didn’t want to attend. She was angry about what was decided. (Meloni showed up late to the summit without explanation)….she left being the only participant not to run out and give a press conference. She appeared visibly angry.
    3. Giorgia Meloni then tipped off Trump as to the approach Zelenskyy would take in the Oval office.
    4. Trump then added Vance to the televised event as an enforcer so that the message back to the EU would not be mistaken.
    5. Prior to arriving in the US, Zelenskyy did a stop over in Ireland. (I’d sure like to see the fight manifests of EU diplomats in Ireland at the same time)
    6. The whole basis of today’s display was to goad the US into taking the lead on the peace keeping force in Ukraine. The EU doesn’t want the responsibility or the costs. They want the US to pay for it, and provide plausible deniability to them for any obstacles. Additionally, it sets a precedent that goes against Trump’s position that the EU has to defend themselves without US intervention.

(just spit balling, but it makes sense to me)

        1. “No story, you just have to pull up media reports and photos and put the pieces together.”

That actually says something right there.

    1. Nice outline Orson. I think you’re spot on. I say that as I had just told the wife that Zelensky was demonstrably carrying the water for the EU and the CIA and every douche’nozzle who propagandized that Russia has been “losing the war” for the past 3-years.

    2. I did not know this about Meloni. I did tell the wife that that scrum was not like Trump. I said it looks like they knew Zelenski was gonna try to be the tough guy and they set him up. Reading this, I would say you are onto something and it does make sense.

    1. To punish Trump for being mean to Zelenskyyyyyy? Explain the logic. How is that any of Canada’s concern?

Anyway, there are no European fifth-gen fighters. That’s why all those dying shitholes are buying F-35s too.

Canada would more likely buy the Chinese clone. About par for the course for this bought-and-paid-for CCP puppet.

      #TeamCanada!!!

    2. The only part of that comment you got right was one, LMAO. US bondholders finance this shithole, the Americans defend it, see how much you can buy without US support.

  14. I couldn’t be bothered watching this clip. I heard 20 seconds on radio, that was enough for me.

That was as gormless, classless, outburst one could imagine by the leader of the free world!

Who could be proud of that?

    1. “That was as gormless, classless, outburst one could imagine by the leader of the free world!”
And what of your approved decorum?
The beautiful words, the flowery speeches ,the empty promises..that brought us to today.
      A Bankrupt breaking civilization..
      “But they had nice hair?”

    2. “That was as gormless, classless, outburst one could imagine by the leader of the free world!”

Didn’t hear anything Zelensky said, did you?

  15. Looks like Trump will end the war by withdrawing all aid to Ukraine and letting Russia have its way with the country.
Or he’ll have to do something that respects a guy who comes to an international meeting in military garb – not a suit and tie. His getting a $500 Billion asset in Ukraine was a good idea. He just needed to find some leverage on Putin/Russia. Now he knows that Ukraine/Zelensky will not be bullied and if Trump really wants to end the war, he needs to work on Putin too.

    1. Letting Russia have its way with Ukraine? What the hell are you talking about? You’re admitting the EU has no military … and NATO is toothless … ?? I thought the world didn’t NEED America … had no use for America. Excuse me but I politely suggest you GFY.

Step up Eurotrash! And protect your brethren in Ukraine.

And I’ve been told that Russia is LOSING for 3-long years … and that Russia has lost 1 million men to Ukraine’s loss of about 25k men. And that Russia was resorting to using ollllld military hardware … and that Ukraine was blowing up every Russian naval vessel in the Black Sea … and that Russia had to import North Koreans to die for Putin … and that Putin was dying of cancer … and that Ukraine was taking back land from Russia …

Shall I go on with the insane propaganda … that you now seem intent on disavowing?

  16. Those who look upon Zelensky as some kind of hero are no different than those who look upon Maxine Waters as some kind of hero.
Demented ‘tards, the lot of ’em.

  17. Zelensky has done an admirable job of delivering Ukraine to Russia today, and also leading to a fracturing of the EU (potentially) as well as straining the relationships within NATO. His paymasters should be very happy. The people (all the people)? Not so much.
At least the USA may perhaps be somewhat insulated from this, thanks to our President.

  18. To bad they did not arrest Zelensky for his corruption, the bio-labs, and other heinous underground activities, and give him a one way ticket to Gitmo.

  19. Yeahwell joins the Cheers from the peanut gallery [and Putin’s side kick]
    Marjorie Green:
“President Trump and Vice President Vance will put America First every single time. Putting Zelensky in his place while he disrespects the U.S. in the Oval Office is exactly what American leadership should look like. This is what We The People want to see!”
Laura Loonier: “President Trump is reminding the American people what leading with strength looks like.”
Musk: “”Zelensky destroyed himself in the eyes of the American people.”
    Dmitry Medvedev
“The insolent pig finally got a proper slap down in the Oval Office.”

    1. So funny to watch the establishment shills OD on copium.
Your vision was never viable, and watching it collapse is a hoot.

    2. Another victim of overconsumption of MSM and NATO PROPAGANDA.
      Still wearing your masks?
Got all your clot shots too?
      Canadians are such lazy thinkers.

  20. Trump is trying to end the war while there is enough Ukraine left to save. This may mean that Ukraine loses some of the territory that the Russians currently control. This is probably better than losing all of its young men, many of its young women, and the demographic and cultural issues that will follow.

The Russians will not get away without consequence. They’ve lost a tremendous amount of blood and treasure. Their reputation is ruined for generations. They’ve proven to be a paper tiger. The only real strength they have is their aging nuclear weapons. Their conventional forces are not sufficient to oppose NATO or American forces.

The end of the war will likely result in internal strife, and possibly, a Russian break up. They also look incapable of resisting China, who could take large portions of Russian territory.

    1. What are you smoking? Russia has accomplished EXACTLY what they set out to do. They secured their warm water port, and took back an ethnic Russian region of Ukraine where Russian sympathizers were being murdered in the streets.

Anyone who doesn’t believe Russia has 100% won this war … hasn’t been paying attention to how many wars America has LOST since WWII. I guess we’ve all lost the idea of what it means to actually WIN a war. Gawd … we’ve all been gaslit for so long that we’ve become clueless.

      1. No one wants to hear the facts Kenji.
Instead, they satisfy themselves ingesting COPIUM and HOPIUM , getting programmed at 6pm everyday.

      2. Grey is correct. Ukraine is losing, but Russia hasn’t exactly won (which means that they will likely attempt to gain more territory, and their forces have been ground up pretty badly — it could be very bad for Putin if he has to levy conscripts from St. P/Moscow at the scale he has from the rest of Russia). And it is a very dangerous place for the world to be in going forward. What Trump is trying to accomplish isn’t just for the here and now nor just for the USA…and there are many who appear to want him to fail at that.

    2. That is indeed one of the issues that many noted from the start and were not as sanguine as some are about it. I assure you that having China controlling Russian territory (and hence Russian resources and strategic geography) isn’t something anyone should be happy about.
Unless of course they were being paid off by China.

  21. There is some video of the Ukrainian ambassador with her hands on her face, none of the journalists I follow are encouraging Zelensky, it seems uniformly thumbs down for Zelensky.

Lara Logan has been watching these for 35 years…
“This is epic. Never seen a press conference like it in more than 35 years as a journalist – where others lie for the cameras, Trump & Vance tackle the issues head on in front of the American people & the world. Truly a sea change in politics.”

When you’ve lost Senator Lindsey Graham … “I’ve never been more proud of President Trump.. JD was awesome..” “absolute utter disaster”

    https://x.com/nicksortor/status/1895560508683813051

I expect Zelensky will want to return to visit / beg President Trump to help settle this, while others point out the continued Ukrainian losses and their dwindling supply of cash
I expect the PM Putz Trudeau to open his gaping maw and say everything he can to be unhelpful, his most recent X/Tweet is regarding “ramadan”

  22. Funny to watch the establishment shills OD on copium.
Their vision was never viable, and watching it collapse is a hoot.

    1. CCR is great, and they were pretty prolific, to boot.
Back when you could have a fukkin’ cigarette and a drink at a concert.
Even Trump lacks the balls to bring back those days, his saving grace is that he doesn’t want us dead like his opponents. A pretty low bar, IMHO.

      1. I was a MASSIVE CCR fan in 1970 … even more than Led Zeppelin. And man do I love that Doug Clifford drumming … that’s the tempo this tune needs. Urgency. The Quick Dick of drumming

And who knew that CCR’s music would become so beloved that the GREAT Analogue Productions of Salina, KS would remaster (by the LEGENDARY Steve Hoffman) the entire CCR discography pressed impeccably by RTI. Man, am I glad to have THAT set.

        1. If I had a time machine, I’d spend a lot of time in the 1970s.
The cultural peak of the west, IMHO.

          1. You and me brotha … you and me. And not to be crude … but that was the era of my young naturally emerging heterosexuality … when the girls were beautiful … and we still hadn’t fooled ourselves about “body positivity”. What fun!

      1. Well, Oleksandr Dubinsky didn’t waste any time. He’s calling for an Emergency Session of Parliament.

  23. You know what the EU convinced Zelensky? They convinced him that he’d become a world HERO for “assassinating” Trump politically in the Oval Office. This was just one more CIA op to TAKE OUT Trump. Humiliate Trump by standing up to “the bully”.

This is exactly how those people think and operate.

    NorthBayTrapper has 12

C’mon Trapper ,… You can beat him … I gotta root for ya, North Bay is my home town,

    1. My energy is waning J West. Seems most of the time I’m responding to name calling and the ilk. I get that people disagree with you, but when they throw the vitriol around it makes you shake your head. I get that I am little less “pronounced” in my opinions as some on this sight, but if someone as conservative as myself is deemed to be an MSM trope who loves Liberals, God only knows where on the spectrum some of these folks are. This makes 13. Gotta find inspriation for 3 more. Cheers J West.

    2. “Kenji 15 comments so far. NorthBayTrapper has 12”

And crickets from “The One and Only C.”

        1. Well Freddie, I never miss you the way you miss me. When you’re absent, I never ask myself “I wonder what the lowest IQ regular thinks about that?”

  25. Z just demonstrated his ability to be incapable of reading the room . Media baited him and down the rabbit hole he went . Trump does not want WW3 period …

  26. Don’t count out the possibility that this is all Kayfabe, comedic actors can also play serious roles when called upon. Remember the “perfect call” Trump had with Putin? Hard to pull that off by oneself.

  27. Trump is a man.
    Putin is a man.
    Xi is a man.
The rest are little pussywillow buttercups who think that they can win by being women, and they have an electorate of pussywillow buttercups to back them up.
Meanwhile, the rest of the world does its thing…

  28. FAFO. Zelensky got slapped, and deserved it.

Every word that President Trump and vice president Vance said was true.

President Trump is extremely cool under fire as is Vice President Vance.

    1. I’m gonna take a stab at processing it …

Now, Russia steps-up its offensive warfare and begins taking MORE Ukranian territory knowing that Trump is DONE … forever … with Zelensky (who refused to apologize for his childish behavior). Ukraine gets the EU and NATO to pitch in … and the rate of deaths spike up with the warming Spring weather.

Eventually … after another 100,000 dead warriors … Europe will come begging to Trump for help. The Ukranian people will impeach Zelensky who refuses to leave office because Martial Law or something. And George Clooney holds a Hollywood “We are all blue and yellow” fundraiser to help hire mercenaries from around the globe … starting with some of Hillary’s used-up Haitian children.

Of course nothing changes, and back in the EU … “motions are passed in Brussels, but no one agrees”

      https://youtu.be/r6I_wNQucnk?si=wJNHJV0Tf9FJhIDt

      1. BTW … Joe Jackson wrote that song 40 YEARS AGO about the 40 years on from WWII. There’s something almost prophetic and symmetrical about now facing WWIII due to the absurd attitudes of Eurotrash that Jackson sang about … 40 years ago.

If I were POTUS? I’d withdraw from NATO … NOW!!! And focus on fortifying our ocean separation … and our technological separation from the European shitshow.

  29. Mr Z is a dead man walking, he won’t be taken out by Russia or the US, he will be taken out from within by his own countrymen

    1. Mr Z is a dead man walking, he won’t be taken out by Russia or the US, he will be taken out from within by his own countrymen says:

“Mr Z is a dead man walking, he won’t be taken out by Russia or the US, he will be taken out from within by his own countrymen”

Will he even be able to go home now?

  30. // Mr. President, guess what? Russia invaded Ukraine. Can we at least agree on that one? Facts matter.
Is there anybody in here that has enough courage to say Russia invaded Ukraine? //
    Jasmine Crockett Texas

This chorus of “my President’s” from the political class reminds me of the standing ovations that
Bibi gets when he arrives with his props to address the combined Congress.
They have a definite definite Stalinesque vibe; perhaps they also have someone directing the applause.
A political philosopher once distinquished totalitarian regimes from dictatorships:
in a dictatorship one can survive by keeping one’s head down, nose clean etc.
That’s not enough in for totalitarianism; one has to demonstrate enthusiasm for the leader.
American society seem to be headed in the latter direction.
