  1. Some time ago the folks on SDA were discussing joining the Liberal party in order to vote in the Liberal leadership race. The time to vote is coming soon. What do you think – how should we vote and why?

    1. How about that 4th dude/candidate whose name Viva Frei couldn’t remember? And that I don’t know?

      1. Frank somethin-or-other.
        He doesn’t have a prayer. He’s too far to the right for the far left Lieb party.
        (No, I’m not suggesting that he’s conservative or even centrist. I’m saying he’s too far to the right for the Lieb party of the ultra-left, authoritarian, Marxists.)

    2. Of the four debaters, I thought Baylis was the most down to earth. But he will not win. If the goal is to stop Carney, then a vote for Freeland makes most sense. Still, I think some dirt is beginning to stick to Carney, and he was not that impressive in the debate. If there is an election called soon, it is not a given that Libs will win. I think they will have a hard time escaping blame for the disastrous state of the economy.

      1. There won’t be an election at least until October. There are too many liberals who are not going to run again, so they need time to find new trough suckers in those ridings.
        Jughead will help protract the election timeline, as will the bloc heads.
        Of course I am assuming that parliament will resume in March, as if that matters one way or another.
        By the way, what is Trudeau screwing up today?

    1. During the convoy, I commented how I much I was active in the Freedom movement. A4C was one of the groups I was heavily involved with, and I met Tanya Gaw several times when she came to Ottawa, and was very deeply involved in the Ottawa chapter.
      Needless to say how shocked I was when there were people within the freedom movement that was determined to tear her down, and quite frankly, I don’t know why.
      Maybe someone who is more familiar with the movement can explain the situation to me.
      After what happened February 18, 2022, I was so disillusioned with the country, that I wanted to give up my freedom movement activities and just live the rest of my life in peace. I haven’t been in contact with the national organization since I left Ottawa, but I am still in contact with the local chapter in Ottawa. I still hear from Tanya personally from time to time.

      1. Rocco Galati, that’s why, he’s a terrible ”lawyer”, gives bad advice and loses cases, badly.
        He even has judgement against himself for frivolous actions, costs owing to others because of his poor legal understandings.
        Is easy to find if you Google it.
        Tanya was enriching herself from donations, if I recall correctly. Yeah, look it up, it’s not a pretty picture.

  3. I LIKE THAT cut Robert! I seem to recall these guys and ‘Barefoot’ … but as my son tells me when I lay a new, obscure slab of vinyl on him … “that’s a real deep cut”. A deep Canadian cut no less. Pssst … my vinyl is dead quiet … pristine … no scratches, hisses, or pops. Gone are the days when my college roommates served nachos on my vinyl 🙂

    I can’t recall … did I post another recent rediscovery of mine? An obscure Brit band of 1972, Janus, with Red Sun … the psyche-metal distorted guitar run at about 2:25 is sooooo tasty!

  4. The single MOST SIGNIFICANT thing Trump will have done if he and Lee Zelden are successful … and win in the multiple inevitable court cases. Talk about the cascading collapse of regulatory overreach! Holy! This is a nuclear warhead dropped on the communist global warmist scamsters.

      1. Blinky contracted his thinking out to the CBC a while ago. Today he’s valuable largely for his lack of thought. And I don’t say that to be mean. His work is the more valuable the less he has to think about it.

  8. Opinion. Trump is forging strong economic ties with Russia (starting in Ukraine) to drive a wedge between Russia and China. He will move on to India and Brazil in an effort to disrupt a potential BRICS currency from evolving. Then the Trump aircraft carrier will shift its guns on China for a new trade deal.

  12. On Wednesday Trump announced the tariffs were delayed until April 2 because April 1 was, ah, already taken up for ah, oh never mind.

    Today the tariffs are back on! Ok then.

  13. Election day in Ontario. Since we were passing the polling station, we popped in. This was around 10am.
    Talk about a sh1t show. Only two people checking ID, and they were pitifully slow. Most voters hadn’t received their voting cards, which slowed the process further. We live in a large rural riding and there are few polling stations.
    Took us about an hour to get through. I saw many people just give up and leave.

    Based on our observations, I expect a low turnout.

  14. A friend called me from Ontario yesterday lamenting the fact that the PC candidate in his riding is unworthy of of his support. He was guilt ridden. Said he had voted in every election for many decades.

    I suggested he sit this one out. He naturally objected citing his obligations in a democracy…I told him that over the years I have destroyed my ballot, written in my preferred candidate and sat out the election electing not to exercise my franchise. In a democracy you should have the right to not vote. It’s your call.

  15. FBI caught withholding Epstein documents from the DOJ.

    Before Kash Patel was confirmed Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter to FBI requesting all Epstein files and documents. The FBI sent 200 pages of documents, repeatedly saying that’s all they had.

    Then on Feb 26, Bondi learned that the FBI New York field office had thousands of pages of documents related to the investigation and indictment of Epstein.

    She has now asked Director Patel to provide all info the FBI has.
