Art Of The Deal: Mexico

DEA’s Most Wanted in U.S. Custody

In a stunning move just days before the Trump administration is set to impose sweeping tariffs over Mexico’s role in America’s fentanyl crisis, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum engineered the largest single-day extradition of cartel leaders in history, delivering 29 top-level traffickers—including one of the most notorious figures in modern drug war history—into U.S. custody.

Among those flown north on Mexican military aircraft Thursday was Rafael Caro Quintero, the infamous cartel boss accused of ordering the brutal 1985 torture and murder of DEA agent Enrique ‘Kiki’ Camarena, a crime dramatized in the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico. Other high-profile extraditees include Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, alleged brother of Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) leader “El Mencho,” as well as key leaders from the Zetas, the Gulf Cartel, and La Nueva Familia Michoacana.

In Washington, U.S. Attorney General Pamela Bondi hailed the mass extradition as a turning point in the war on cartel violence. “As President Trump has made clear, cartels are terrorist groups, and this Department of Justice is devoted to destroying cartels and transnational gangs,” Bondi said in a press release. “We will prosecute these criminals to the fullest extent of the law in honor of the brave law enforcement agents who have dedicated their careers—and in some cases, given their lives—to protect innocent people from the scourge of violent cartels.”

This was done at no small risk to herself, so credit where it’s due.

  1. Libs getting out-hustled by every single other country in the world. Canada is soooo screwed. North Korea is more popular than Canada in the world right now. Carney is making Andrew Coyne look smart, and Trudeau is still the putz walking around hoping someone shakes his hand. Singh is calling for a ban on Trump from Canada, when he isn’t even allowed back into India. Losers are booing our neighbor’s anthem, and people think the Carney Libs are different than the Trudeau Libs. Morons.

    What an embarrassment we’ve become.

Let’s get on with it. 51 or bust. Alberta doesn’t need to be associated with this disaster anymore.

    1. Say what you want about the “awful Orange man” … but he gets shit done. As does Musk. Their “bro” attraction isn’t hard to figure out … nor his bromances with every other Cabinet Head.

The only thing that comes to this old rockers mind is … “We are not worthy!” … “We are not worthy!” … Trump is THE Rock Star of The US Presidency

  2. Mexico City’s usual excuse for not extraditing dangerous criminals to face American justice is that the crooks might face the death penalty.

Capital punishment was formally abolished in Mexico in 2005. In practice, nobody had dared put a criminal to death in Mexico since 1961. The Roman Catholic hierarchy, long since robbed of the power to publicly torture Protestants and Jews to death for defying the Church, did not like the idea of a secular government having the power to one day send pedophile priests to their master in hell.

This was never about principles on Mexico’s part. It was about the gangsters who run Mexico not taking Uncle Sam seriously, and a belief that what happens in El Norte stays there.

Now America has a leader who is feared by the men controlling their pet Claudia Sheinbaum more than they fear the cartels—never mind Jorge Bergoglio, may his name be erased, currently waiting to join Rodrigo de Borja in an Italian hospital bed.

Jorge won’t be the first old queen to die waiting for Trump and the Jews to be put back in their place, or the last.

    1. all of these cartel leaders should be executed forthwith, no need for a trial, the evidence is clear. Let’s send a message to the world

  3. Those of you who have a taste for history may enjoy reading about the Cristeros who are all but forgotten these days:

“Doubtless there is something to that notion. Catholics do believe, or should, that some things are more important than acquiring wealth. Acquiring virtue is one. Protestants, especially if they are of a Calvinist stripe, see wealth as a reward from God Himself for their abstemiousness and work ethic, which they fancy as constituting all the virtue that matters. This difference in outlook of Catholics and Protestants produces different lifestyles. “Time is money” is an American dictum with roots as old as Benjamin Franklin’s injunction that “a penny saved is a penny earned.” Time is not to be wasted. In Catholic countries, especially Latin ones in Europe and the Western Hemisphere, men are given to “wasting” it by spending hours on cafE9 terraces or in cantinas or in long siestas. The Protestant will observe that is not the way to make money or otherwise “get ahead.” We have an observation of our own: It is remarkable how many rich Protestants choose to vacation and even retire in places like Provence or Tuscany or Cuernavaca to taste a little of the life always enjoyed by the despised Catholic. You never hear of one of them hiring an architect to renovate an old farm house in Kansas.”

  4. The US should take a page out of the Israeli playbook.
They know where the cartel big wigs live so call them up and tell them their house has be targeted for elimination in 30 minutes.
Then hunt them down and execute them as the terrorists they are.

  5. Will the Communist Party of China allow the Liberal Party of Canada to make any substantive changes?

  6. Wouldn’t be surprised if one or more of the cartels retaliate in some particularly violent way on U.S. soil. If so, we respond with drone strikes on known cartel compounds in Mexico. This could get ugly (in a good way).

  7. Come on Canada Leadership! Can’t Jackmeat bundle up a few dozen turban-wearing drug dealers … and fly them to Guantanamo? I hear the airstrip is really close to his favorite Cuban runway.

  8. There was a time the cartels threatened the Mexican President. Maybe they have been weakened? If not Sheinbaum may be a target.

  9. Perhaps the US needs to look at why so many of their kids/adults want drugs. Trump wants to reduce supply, so what about demand? It might be a better strategy for the USA to clean up their own backyard before harassing neighbouring countries.

YOU HAVE the main problem, as the USA is the one buying fentenal product.

    1. Psssst … the Left has declared the War on drugs was even more futile than the War in Ukraine. Hence, we are now in the post-illegal-drug phase of decriminalizing all drug use … turning drug dealers free … and the government’s even BECOMING the new neighborhood drug dealer.

The leftists in government are GROWING the drug market! Because if our population is gonna get high … the Feds might as well get a cut of the action, eh?

And … as with the Lotto in CA … “Our Kids Win too” … our kids schools get funded with Lotto, Marijuana, and shrooms … for now. Soon … multiple opioids. So … if you carrrre about the chillllllldren … you’ll use drugs and gamble. Yes, we are a degenerating society. Degenerates.

      1. Not to mention that the drug trade helps bankroll the Red Chinese war machine at the same time as it makes Americans unfit to serve in a war against Chinese aggression. The precursor chemicals all come from China. Fortunes are made producing it.

One of the first acts of your future Chinese overlords will be to get serious about stamping out the drug trade. Their new blue-eyed slaves will be expected to be assets to their Chinese masters, not drug-addled deadweight. Or else. Forced to choose between cleaning up voluntarily or being “re-educated,” addicts will clean up.

Socialism with Chinese characteristics will get the credit for putting an end to drug abuse, which itself will be written off as a symptom of late-stage Western capitalism. And that’s the last anyone will hear about the drug problem.

Forgive me if I make the prospect of your grandchildren being enslaved by the CCP sound like a more positive development than it’s at all likely to be.

  10. So why can’t Canada do the same with our most notorious drug cartel bosses such as David Eby and the like?
