I agree with the “consolidating financial power across borders” but I don’t think it has much to do with carbon-reduction or social outcomes. They haven’t told us why yet. But what a great way to consolidate global power.

You have to love the mentality of the leaders of this country, especially the boys in charge at the moment and all the morons that support them. The reasons stated in the post are the most likely ones as to why Carney is running for leader. He’s certainly not in the running because of his experience in stick handling an election campaign and debating issues on a public forum. If I were a Liberal, I’d seriously question why they would want him at all. Not being fluent in French is also a huge liability, but most Libs don’t seem to care. Being an “outsider” seems like a catchy moniker, but it rarely works. Having actual experience in running for elected office is a massive plus for any candidate and Carney has none. He’s not used to being challenged in a public forum, so things will get interesting when that happens.
Prime Minister Mark Carney will take over Canada on March 9th and will govern with the usual Liberal wisdom until he decides to call an election.
I expect,barring some type of international disaster, the Liberals to win and form a government, probably a minority with the NDP or a majority if any Conservatives dares to utter an un-pc word.
Unless the CPC has some campaign magic up their sleeve I’m not optimistic a conservative government can win in a country that is 70% “progressive”.
