Recommendations for Helping TDS Sufferers?

On and offline, I have a well deserved reputation for having a rather cynical sense of humour. One buddy in Silicon Valley really likes it. More than a few women I’ve dated have a rather different opinion. But in this post, I assure you that I’m sincerely asking for help about how best to deal with my many friends who are clearly infected with TDS. This includes most Democrats I know in America and most every Canadian I know. They’re getting more depressed and angry with each passing week.

I did some research to find out how best to deal with my longtime friends who are suffering from TDS. I came across this post by a so-called “comedian”. The author, Dash MacIntyre, has a cool name, but has clearly been broken by Trump occupying his thoughts 24/7. He’s no longer funny. Hard to believe anyone could be funny when every moment of every day is occupied by HATE.

I fully disagree with his premise that we’re all suffering from TDS. Not me, and clearly not tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of Americans.

So, serious question, what strategies have you employed to deal with your friends & family members who display signs of TDS?

  1. I just tell them he doesn’t bother me. Also tell them that TRUDEAU is the real enemy. They agree on that, but their TDS is unresolved. It’s a terminal mental disease.
Ignorant, moron, ass, you name it. Lots of pejoratives and childish rants.
So, we’ve just stopped talking about it with others so we don’t waste our time listening to their inner child.
When Trump got elected, the neighbour said “Can you believe they elected Trump?” incredulously. I just deadpanned back “Well, they should have run a better candidate than Kamelala”.
    Radio Silence.

    1. Direct objection doesn’t work. As a non US citizen talking to fellow TDS Canadians, my most successful tack is to switch subjects and like you Dan, say that Trudeau is far more of a concern than Trump. The momentary pause of my interlocutor in switching mental gears due to the change of subject allows me the precious seconds of uninterrupted air time to launch a list of stupid, illegal and evil actions of our not yet former PM.

    2. There is no treatment for TDS other than dying. These folks have a untreatable mental disorder.

    3. Canadian “Trump Derangement Sufferers” are those same Canadians (~80%) who submitted voluntarily or, by coercion, to social distancing, masking and the mRNA death shot.

Unfortunately, ~80% of Canadians have suffered or, will have suffered, mRNA disabilities or death by the end of the decade.

Trump has yet to take responsibility for his administration’s response to the obvious scamdemic.

Might explain his expiation via DOGE and Executive Orders….

Trust no politician, nor any government.

  2. Nothing you can do. As Mark Twain said, “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”

  3. I don’t know about the United States but up here in Canada if every voter turned their backs on the Liberal Party of Canada Government and turned their backs on the NDP and the Green Party ‘s and voted straight up Conservative Party of Canada, we’d never hear the words “51’st state” ,or the name “Canada” out of the mouth of President Donald Trump ever again.

  4. Not really inclined to make excuses for TDS sufferers..

Its politics that has more to do with class than reality.. Upper class hates Trump.. Middle and lower, not so much..
Academia / media is just a reflection of that..

    1. Yup. John nailed it via Twain.
My own self, I just ignore them completely, silently laugh at them, and go about my earthly business.
That said, if you play it right, you could get some TDS guy to whitewash your fence, like Tom Sawyer.
      Excuse the Americana references.
Have a nice day and root for America at that good old hockey game.

  5. When Trump is threatening to impoverish your country with crippling tariffs, and constantly talking about annexation, it’s not deranged to take that seriously.

Quit using the term TDS. It’s lazy and inaccurate. It reminds me of transgender activists who scream “Transphobe!” everytime someone dare complain about men in women’s change rooms.

    1. Trump is perfect justified in his actions.
The fact that it huts Canada doesn’t change that.
The fact that you don’t like it doesn’t change that.
The fact that you don’t think that Trump is perfectly justified in his defense of American interests is proof positive that you suffer from TDS.
…probably from all those jabs you took.

      1. yeahwell…

Wow, you’ve really drank the koolaid. Get your lips off of Trump’s arse. It’s not a good look.

        1. “Wow, you’ve really drank the koolaid. Get your lips off of Trump’s arse. It’s not a good look.”

Supporting Trudeau the way you do is an even worse look. Put on your big boy pants and accept reality.

          1. I’ve never supported Trudeau. I was voting against Trudeaus before you were born.

But I’m not going to use Justin’s bad leadershp as an excuse to throw my country under the bus. In less than a month, Trudeau will be gone. He’s irrelevant. In a year or two, under Poilievre’s leadership, Canada might be a very different country.

I recommend you quite making assumptions, because you’re very bad at it.

      1. It’s not Trump’s job to save Canada from itself.

And he’s not offering a lifeline anyway. Trump is looking after the U.S. — no one else.

        1. “And he’s not offering a lifeline anyway. Trump is looking after the U.S. — no one else.”

EXACTLY. So why do you keep bitching about him for DOING HIS JOB??

Whine about Trudeau not doing his. He made this happen, not Trump.

          1. Thank you, Fred. It’s a bit early for marmots to come out of hibernation. Explains the torpor.

          2. Because Trump’s screwing over Canada, and is therefore my enemy.

Anything else I can help you with?

        2. No question, they would benefit too, I didn’t comment on his motives, he should be interested in the USA. And no its not his job, but it is a hell of a lot easier then what you all have ahead, if the Libranos are re-elected, i’m out.

        3. Exactly,

Trump is doing what he beleives is right for the USA, that may not be good for Canada or Mexico or Australia. Trump was not elected to make anyone outside the US happy. His responsibilities end at the border.

He is in exactly the same basket as Putin,XI or even Zelensky, you should not worry about hateing them. Worry about the leaders you elected or got elected over you and what they do.
Personally I think Albanese is an idiot and he is not who I would have chosen to run Australia.

          1. No, I am going to worry about world leaders who are trying to destroy Canada.

            And so should you,

      2. totally agree…….especially if he comes thru on ON PAR $$$ AND NO INCOME TAX…….
We live in AB so we love TRUMP instead of that wimpy TURDO….he is way past ” BEST BEFORE DATE”

    2. Trump has obviously rented your brain for the duration. Can you point to the place on the doll where he hurt you, Kimmie?

      1. roaddog:

Another country is trying to impoverish your own, and you’re too big of a cuck to object.

        1. Not up to Trump to save Canada. Voters have put people in power who have weakened Canada and made us vulnerable to this.

I have zero problem with Trump. I’d like to see someone in Canada fighting as hard as Trump does for the US.

          1. “I have zero problem with Trump. I’d like to see someone in Canada fighting as hard as Trump does for the US.”

            Me too. Well said, Dave.

          2. No it’s not up to Trump to save Canada.

And it’s not my job to cheer Trump as he screws over Canada, as so many are doing here.

        2. “Another country is trying to impoverish your own,”

          No, he’s not.

” and you’re too big of a cuck to object.”

You’re too dumb to understand how to solve this problem. Thankfully, you are not in charge.

          1. Not trying to impoverish Canada? What do you think 25% tarrifs on all Canadian exports to the U.S. would do?

I can not fathom the mentality of a Canadian who has such a man crush on the U.S. president that he would throw his own country under the bus.

        3. KM, you can’t have it both ways. “Trump is trying to impoverish your country” “Trump is looking after the U.S.–no one else.” You do see both those things cannot be true? I agree with the second, the first, no.

Further impoverishing Canada does nothing for the US and may be a small negative, so he perceives what he is doing is of bigger benefit to the US. All of the freeloaders are being treated the same, Europe is getting theirs too. A report was just published in the UK giving lie to Starmer’s claim that he will send British troops to Ukraine. It says at most the British army has 3,000 deployable troops and no way to maintain them for long. Canada would be somewhat worse at 2,000. Germany and France, puh leeze. The US defends the entire western world on the backs of US taxpayers, and the bill is now due. The once mighty Royal navy has fourteen ships.

If Canad were a serious country, we would have at least 4 nuclear submarines and the same number of nuclear icebreakers. We have none. If China or Russia decide to post up in the north and begin extracting resources, we can bitch and moan at the UN, nothing more. People whinge about Canadian sovereignty, if you cannot defend your borders you have as much sovereignty as other countries decide you have.
We have shitty socialized dental, dogshit socialized healthcare, a 60,000,000,000 defitcit and a massive national/provincial debt load, almost all of it external. We are the poster child for you will own nothing and be happy.

We are getting better, at one thing I believe we have moved up to 15 on the corruption list

          Fuck that, and fuck Canada.

        4. China? Do you not believe they have infested Canada. Infested our politics, paying off politicians, swaying our elections and dumping fentanyl acroos the land.
The US is not our problem….weakness is!

        5. A foreign statesman talking simple sense? He is literally kicking the food out of your grandmother’s mouth! You better go as batshit crazy over this as I do, or you’re a cuck!

    3. Waitaminute…
Trudeau has already done that! Impoverished the country, I mean.
We no longer have a country to be threatened.

You could say I have TDS… Turd Derangement Syndrome, except I have personal experience to back up my derangement over the turd.

As for the people I associate with? I simply make every effort to avoid the topic entirely, but if they insist, I’m well prepped to mic-drop them at a moment’s notice.

    4. “When Trump is threatening to impoverish your country with crippling tariffs, and constantly talking about annexation, it’s not deranged to take that seriously.”

The ‘crippling tariffs’ are Trudeau’s fault. He was supposed to represent Canada and Canadians. Donald Trump is the President of the United States of America, and he represents the American people, NOT the Canadians. This is why is is doing things that will benefit the US, not Canada…it is NOT his job to look after Canadian interests.

(I’m sorry…that about as far as I can ‘dumb it down’ for you, KM. Hope it’s adequate…)

“Quit using the term TDS. It’s lazy and inaccurate.”

It is perfectly on point. When people try to attack him no matter what he does (or does not) do, that’s mindless, unthinking derangement. I didn’t invent the term.

” It reminds me of transgender activists who scream “Transphobe!” everytime someone dare complain about men in women’s change rooms.”

      Nope…that’s a real issue, not a made-up one.

      1. I was looking for an appropriate place to reply to this.

India has 17% tariffs on the US, does anyone believe India is trying to bankrupt the US?

If a country puts tariffs on your country its up to YOUR leaders to find another way, be that convince them to change their mind, find other markets or just suck it up. A few years ago China put tariffs on Wine, our exporters looked at other markets and started selling even more wine to other countries where we did not have tariffs.

Canada has seen that US as a easy market has specialised on selling to the US and has added GST which acts as a tariff, rightly or wrongly Trump has reacted to that, but these are decisions made by Canadian leaders.

Yes thinking that trump should make Canada happy or has a responsibility to Canadians is totally TDS.

    5. You do realize why Trump is doing this right?
He clamps down on the southern border the cartels won’t just call it a day, but rather revise their business plan to take advantage of the path of least resistance available on the longest un defended border in the world.
What do you think the Canadian government should do to prevent that?
What do you think the US government should do if the Canadian government demonstrated reluctance to act and responded “we’re less than one percent of the problem”?
Apparently the current team in Ottawa likes to boast how they can handle Trump with the implication that all they have to do is wait till his term ends and they can go back to business as usual.
Thats not exactly a promising strategy for success.

    6. The fact that you still don’t get what Trump is doing is part of your TDS.

Have you ever been evaluated for autism spectrum disorder? Because your dogged inability to accept the existence of deception or misdirection is one of the symptoms.

  6. Mark of an easily gulled human.
You could mock them without mercy, then you too can feel the love from them.
I have several in my family, who have had TDS from 2016.
I refuse to engage, just pointing out, that to me President Trump represents a payback that is long overdue.
To all those who suffer from the delusion that they can live my life and manage my business better than me,Mr now President Trump represents a glorious F.U…long overdue.

These days I have no sympathy with TDS sufferers, they are being fools, unthinking signallers of the wisdom of “Everybody Knows”.
As in “Everybody knows that” and when you follow through, actually think about it..Turns out nobody knows and nobody wants to think about it.
    So speaketh the Mob.
Men ,it is said,go mad in herds.
    Returning to reality as individuals.
Forget the source, however feel the truth.
    We used to slap hysterics.

    Ain’t no cure for stupid.
Especially a stupid so eagerly embraced.

  7. L – Advice for treating T.D.S. Syndrome: “ Place patient into a coma until the brain and general
body inflammation subsides. Do a D-dimmer inflammation level blood test, before and after,
for a useful metric. Some clinical studies report faster results by adding background music
    of Gregorian chants.”

  8. Well Robert, the first recommendation is that if you’re a Trumpet/Trump fanboy who has never been critical of Trump then you’re probably need help as much as TDSer and certainly are not qualified to help others.

    1. C… if Trump ever turns, you can bet that MAGA will turn against him.
I’ve questioned Trump’s policies and strategy myself, and have been proven to be wrong about Trump time after time, to the point now where I simply say that I am convinced that Trump has the people’s best interest in everything he does, and so I just leave him alone, and let Trump do what Trump does best… negotiate with the art of the deal that ONLY Trump can do.

      1. “…if Trump ever turns, you can bet that MAGA will turn against him.”

Surely, you jest. How about Trump’s Wuhan Flu vaccine support? Did MAGA turn against him? They turned against everyone but him. The left initially claimed that Trump is delusional, and that vaccines take years to develop. Then the left embraced the vaccines and MAGA regurgitated the initial leftist opposition, word for word without a hitch. One of the greatest tragicomedies of our times. The irony of the fact that MAGA today wants the Beagle Mengele tried, or preferably just executed, for the vaccines he championed under Trump’s patronage seems to be lost on everyone.

Trump is everything to everyone. There is little difference between those who are infatuated with him and those who froth at the snout at his mention. The reality is that Trump is reasonably skilled when it comes to domestic policy (economically illiterate but has mostly good instincts most if the time) and when it comes to foreign policy he is average at best. I agree that he wants what he believes is best for US but he is also a narcissist unfamiliar with the concept of context.

“so I just leave him alone, and let Trump do what Trump does best…”

Blind faith = fanaticism. That is exactly the problem.

        1. Fc, note that I was talking about MAGA mainstream not its insane rabid afterbirth simping for genocide of civilized at the hands of subhuman because something something WEF globohomo, nor was I talking about genuine (paid?) ork subhumans pretending to be MAGA.

  9. That maybe difficult.
This here guy thinks of the ruler of this country as being an idiot.
As you can imagine there are perhaps a million or two that will vote for him in a flash, no questions asked.
It is then not a surprise that the opposite maybe true in reverse.
When one thinks of self as free thinker its easy to damn those that are completely taken in by the corruption and graft of those that are opposed to Trump.
Growing in a socialist country run by communists, we actually never believed them from about 12 years old and up. Our parents grew up in a free enterprise country, (the communist definition of that is ‘capitalism’, that I absolutely refuse to use), anyway they knew the difference of before the communists and after. It was often said in pubs that even the communists don’t believe what they preach, though it payed better.

You could try a chess strategy, play it around, though never deceive, until the agree with you and the hit them with, so what about Trump.
Don’t make fun of them or put them down, just state your case and leave it at that.
The communists knew this, you spell out an idea, it may not cause a good reaction though it will make them think, very important, if they are capable.

  10. How much empathy did you feel for the oppressive and entitled citizens of Ottawa who joyfully celebrated after Fidelito’s heavy horse battalion ejected the truckers from the capitol city?

I do not give a shit how they feel. People with TDS are viewing the world from an entirely subjective position and are incapable of pragmatic thoughts and behavior. Like some beaten wives addicted to the abuse delivered by their husbands, they cannot be helped.

For the last 7 days Democrats have actively and aggressively demonstrated that they do not care about the citizens of the United States. So to hell with them and anyone who finds their teeth gnashing and self-importance credible.

  11. The best approach to Trumpophobes is to remark how Melania is a hottie, and the best dressed First Lady
since Jacqueline Kennedy. After the obligatory disparagements about her being ugly and a gold digger, then
ask why she wasn’t on the cover of every gossip mag at the local supermarket checkout over thw
    past decade.
Hell, they’re still regularly exhuming Marilyn, Diana, and Jackie O.

After a time, all you have to do is say ‘Melania’ to tweak the nose of Trumpophobes, to help aid in their
    recovery..

    1. I agree. I was gonna say that tds is not the result of rational thought, so it is impervious to logic and rational thought. It borders on mental illness. I would look at some who escaped it for hints, like Ana kasparian.

  12. I tell them they’ll get down on the knees and thank God for Trump once all the heinous evil is uncovered and the criminals facing execution for treason.

  13. I’ve gotten some mileage out of “This too shall pass” in attempting to calm them without otherwise engaging on the details.

  14. The ballot question was
Which candidate will make the life of the DC hall monitors a living hell?

So, seems currently that the hall monitors and their enablers are experiencing what their victims have been experiencing for decades.

  15. Canadian here. Many rabid anti trumpers up here. After I get them to loose their minds over baiting them with real facts I drop them out my life. Gotta have some fun ya know!

  16. My cousin said to me that she could not believe Trump got elected, and that she was afraid of what would happen now. I replied that at least the trafficking of children should cease. She looked stunned because it was never reported on CNN.

  17. When you compare what Trump achieves in a matter of days, often just through “mean tweets”..
Against what conventional “Heh,respectable” politicians have done in whole careers..
    You can only laugh.
But those who protest the nature of the man, seem to be willfully blind to human nature.
    President Trump blows their bubble.
    Shreds their delusions.
When your self image is built on nonsense, seems the natural reaction is to feel cornered and lash out..
For the case of Can Ahh Duh,when Bad Orange man states these obvious truths:
Canada is Broke,Bankrupt and unable to defend its resource .
Unable to prevent dangers forming on the Northern Border.

And unlike CBC,CTV and the rest of Government Funded Media absorbers ,outside agencies can see how corrupt Canada is.

Trump has told our pompous posers that they are naked.
    Ugly Fat and naked.
    Useless to MAGA America

    A stark truth.
    A bankrupt Kleptocracy.
A State of Thuggery against the productive citizens.
Communist in every way except name.
Soon to close the border to citizens with wealth fleeing to the USA.

Snivel, wail and gnash your teeth all you want.
Nothing is going to change what any outside observer will see.
    FUBAR is Confederation .

Turns out that lies do reach a critical mass.
The nation of Canada has been replaced with a crumbling pile of lies.
Now collapsing under their own decaying weight.
A NOT SEE is a person who will never see the harms they cause,if their income depends on not seeing.
TDS seems most prevalent amongst our most smug and righteous Not Sees.

Sorry Robert,I keep missing the point.
Play them some vintage Frank Zappa.

Or offer them a copy of Hanns Christian Anderson’s;”The Emperors New Clothes”.

    For nothing has changed.
TDS is just another herd disease.
    Same as Witch Burning.
    Lynchings.
    5 minutes of Hate.
    Human Nature is wonderful.

After Covid I concluded that the only thing Humans like better, than dancing drunkenly around your neighbours house,as it burns..
Is if our neighbours are still inside.

  18. I have no recommendations but I do thank everyone for your suggestions on dealing with TDS sufferers. My husband and I are surrounded by them: family, neighbours, friends, colleagues…

It’s gotten to the point where we don’t even attend family gatherings, and my family likes to gather. At least now we live far enough away that we can take a pass without explanation.

    1. Lucky me, I’m in Alberta. But even here, the TDS gets unbearable, so I simply say “I’d trade Trump for Trudeau any day”. They change the subject quickly.

  19. Make it a personal rule to ‘” never argue with IDIOTS”‘. I’m afraid that the IDIOTS operate only on emotions and are being played like a violin.

  20. Cure for TDS? Take people hunting and sign them up for Muay Thai. After a while he won’t trigger bully trauma memories in pussies.

    1. “My response? TDS – Meth and rabies.”

That was an instant classic, for sure. His mind works in interesting ways.

  21. Canada became a fake country when the Queen Died. It’s all BS now. There is no rule of law, the charter of rights is a joke. We live under neo-socalist rule who will “debank” you if you speak out on any DEI rules, the liberals can’t even imaging the out come of a federial election – They think Mark Carnival Carny will save there ass – after Justin fills all the senator and judge’s jobs by the thousands. With SNC-Lavalin getting off “scott free” for human trafficing opertions, bribery, breach of trust, and obstruction of justice – just like Justin the criminal.

    1. Watched a YT clip for a few minutes of Carney last week on some talk show. The host was saying something about if the price of steel goes up then the prices of a lot of other things will go up too. Carney basically asked the guy just what he’d bought lately that was made of steel. And he kept going on about how the price of steel doesn’t affect any domestic purchases. REALLY?….the machines that harvest and process food and other goods are mostly steel, even the replacement cutting edges and stuff. The things that make the boxes and paper that wrap food and everything else are a majority steel. The machines that DELIVER everything including out food are made of steel. This dude works in economics?

  22. Very sad seeing so many people in this thread candidly sharing experiences of being widely ostracized by their family and peers, and unable to realize it’s because they spend an extremely unhealthy amount of time inside a rigid media bubble painstakingly designed to essentially indoctrinate them into a cult. Also very sad knowing there’s nothing whatsoever that anyone can say or do or show that will ever change their minds at this point.

  23. If it’s someone I care about, I try to help them get back on their medication schedule.

If it’s anyone else, I tell them I’m disappointed that Trump is going so slowly.

  24. Brian Lilley did an interview with Steve Bannon a few days ago which opened my eyes a bit. While not suffering TDS not a big fan and still not but some of the things he’s done are what was needed to be done. Especially defunding a lot of USAID programs which ranged between outright silly to dangerous as in the funding was being channelled to terrorist organizations through several cutoffs. Like Tides Foundation which sponsors lots of eco terrorists. But in the interview Bannon pointed out the remarks about the Canal and Greenland were quite logical if you looked at the idea of keeping the Russian sub fleets and Chinese warships bottled up in their home ports and waters. Bannon was quite admiring of our records of courage and fighting in wars and such but the BIG reason Trump was trash talking us as a nation was the Artic region. Almost totally undefended with just basically a handful of Rangers and a few DEW stations. The largest unexploited bag of natural resources in the world and we WON’T guard our borders. That’s what all the sh@t he’s raised is about. To get our thumbs out at last!!

    1. That makes sense; since we are bordering on the USA, our lah-dee-dah approach to our own national security is a security risk for the USA.

Trump’s approach to foreign relations is significantly different than that of “professional politicians”, but its not nonsense (once you see the signal amongst the noise). Wishing his approach were less childish is tempting, but if he were less childish he’d also likely be less effective.

  25. Well Robert … I have a friend who I have always really liked. He is exceptionally well read and educated. Yes, I’ve known him to be a lifelong liberal … but always in the classic sense as they say. Well I met him for lunch a few years ago and he announced that he was teaching a college course on writing … but that he spent most of his time teaching his class about what a fascist Trump was. He then asked me what I thought of Trump. I told him I actually LIKED what Trump was doing. His jaw dropped, then steeled as he almost screamed … “how can you possibly like Trump?” … “What has Trump done that you support?”

I responded with a generality that I thought he could somewhat support as a former radical. I told him that I liked Trump, because he is a disrupter. A bomb-thrower. He’s turning over the money changers tables. He had no answer for me except to say I was sadly deluded. He got up, left our lunch, and I haven’t heard from him since.

Sorry. In my personal experience … there is no cure for TDS. It’s a terminal disease that rots the brain … all the way to the medulla oblongata.

    1. Your “friend” was a manipulator. They love to set themselves up to lecture from a position where it’s nearly impossible for anyone to voice disagreement. That’s cowardly. He set you up and you failed the test. He told you what to think first. How dare you fail to act like one of his students, or to take his instruction on what to think and go along to get along!

Robert there is no cure as long as they get endorphins for the free pass of voicing just their side when ever and where ever they want. They bully, rant, boss and are entirely with out empathy and self awareness. The irony. They are the satire we use to enjoy as impossibly absurd. As long as they get a hit and a high from walking over others and thinking that makes them a better person this will continue. As long as their ego is tied up in politics as their identity. There is only the tough road to breaking that.

It’s ironic that the people most susceptible to manipulation via rhetoric are the least capable of thinking they might be wrong about something and the most prone to projection. See and accept how they are.

Ask yourself what it is that you are trying to preserve. If it’s anything other than a business contact or acquaintanceship, where all that is needed is a 1990’s level of common sense civility you are deluding yourself. If you are just trying to maintain a low level of social fabric, just enforce no politics in the discussion. Period.

Accept that anything else, any deeper level of fellowship is impossibly immiscible. Let it go.

Don’t be a doormat either. You saw what that got during Covid. That behavior just feeds the blob. Accept that there is no answer where you stand up for yourself and no feathers are ruffled. Learn to enjoy the ruffling. That whole “what can we do to come together “, “if only our side were nicer they’d just come around” – face it – that’s a fantasy. Putting any effort in to coming together from their side doesn’t enter their minds at all. Being unilaterally nice is counter productive, it’s not about empathy with you for them. Stop giving your power away with groveling after something you wish were true but observably isn’t.

Look at this comment thread, these folks can’t be civil. They have an entitlement problem that comes with verbal diahrrea. Do you see any coming together suggestions from them or does it read like “I’m right, how dare you!” Same old same old. How do we know it’s fueled by their side’s entitlement? Because we can hold our tongues and have been, but we still can’t have a quiet, polite, respectful family meal or social gathering with out some pompous eruption by them. Every single. time. Who can’t shut up for one event. Not our side. Take their endorphins they get from that away. Don’t let it stand as a self re-enforcing reward. Let them have it right back. At some point the negative re-enforcement from pushback and defending your point of view wont be worth it to them. Maybe they will walk away, maybe they will finally shut up and try to find common ground with you. You can see it with the US. Social gatherings since the election. The progressives all now say “we can’t talk about politics now” and then they try to find a way to do it where you can’t talk back. We have to Claw back civility and common sense in social manners. No politics, no religion as topics. The only road to do that requires discomfort.

  26. Ask them “Did Trump call Nazi’s “very fine people””?
When they’re done yelling profanity point out that them not answering shows they have a psychological problem and you’re not a shrink.

Also point out that yelling over your opponent is a very common sign they’ve been brainwashed.

It’s a fascinating “debate” between Neil Degreas Tyson (sp) and Ben Shapiro watch NDT slow down, repeat, filibuster and pretend ignorance as he fumbles for a point he knows he’s not armed with and he’s desperately trying to come up with on the fly.
    (He’s a transparent idiot 😉

The TDSers are self retarding and the reason why God invented humour.

  27. Avoidance, now. I’m getting people telling me to cut myself off from them if I don’t agree, so I’m doing it. These are cultists.

  28. I am hampered by the fact that I’m an introvert and not confrontational. So mostly I avoid and ignore.
