Our Chinese-Installed Government In Ottawa

Sam Cooper;

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government moved to address growing U.S. alarm by appointing former RCMP deputy commissioner Kevin Brosseau as Canada’s new “fentanyl czar.” Announced as part of an agreement to forestall potential American tariffs in a tense trade dispute, the position mandates “accelerating Canada’s ongoing work to detect, disrupt, and dismantle the fentanyl trade,” according to the Prime Minister’s Office. Brosseau, who most recently served as deputy national security and intelligence adviser to Trudeau, will work closely with U.S. agencies to tackle a crisis that has claimed tens of thousands of lives across North America. Still, questions remain about whether he has the standing in Washington—and the authority in Ottawa—to enact meaningful reforms.

West, reflecting on his encounter with Blinken, doubts that incremental measures will suffice. He argues that only bold legislative change, coupled with a willingness to challenge entrenched legal barriers, can dispel the U.S. government’s unease over Canada’s approach. “Secretary Blinken specifically noted the lack of a RICO-style law in Canada,” West said. “He talked about how, in the United States, that law had been used to take down large portions of the mafia. Then he looked at us—one of America’s closest allies—and saw a very concerning weak link.”[…]

Blinken also conveyed to West that U.S. agencies have grown hesitant to share certain intelligence with their Canadian counterparts.

“He told me that U.S. intelligence and law enforcement are withholding some evidence because they don’t believe we’ll act on it,” West explained. “They’ve lost confidence.”

West added that in ongoing communications, he has learned American officials are shocked that major figures in Asian organized crime “seem to have so much access to our political class. They’re basically saying, ‘What’s going on in Canada?’”

  1. Sam’s substack is now on my go to news list.
Wouldn’t it be nice to rub all politicians noses in the information that could stop tariffs, regain a neighborly relationship with the U.S.? Nope, we will continue with the “we haven’t done anything to deserve this” Trump is a bully Bull Scat.

    1. I know what you mean. If Blinken and Biden administration were horrified it must be bad. But can’t admit I guess that it isn’t just something Bad Orange Man pulled from the air.

  2. Blinken the blinkin jooish idiot, is most likely a criminal, and easily bought. He was HAD , the first time he encountered the Chinese as head of state.

  3. Is Kevin Brosseau compromised, and that’s why he was selected? or he just happened to be hanging around ottawa and was convenient?

And the others in the sharing agreement don’t want to share intelligence with canada because it appears our “intelligence organizations” are fully compromised

    1. Cooper has alluded to the possibility senior politicians and police are compromised.

If Trudeau wanted to clear the air , he would not have installed an RCMP loyalist.

      1. Trump needs to indict a few Canadian politicians and government officials for their involvement in the fentanyl trade.

        1. If the US senses that Trudeau is merely enabling a fentanyl “czar” tasked with throwing a blanket over the problem , then I would expect the US to start revealing more of what they know, possibly in the form of names.

  4. From my perspective Canada turns the other cheek when in comes to illegal money laundrying, criminal gangs including drug cartels, foreign interference is treated with a sneer. It’s almost like we have three tier justice, the little peasants get hammered but those getting rich off crime are ignored and politicians can spend our money with little to no oversight.

  5. Canadians are not serious about drug use/abuse. Their famed kindness becomes misplacrd sympathy and empathy towards the addicted. Changing values will be long and difficult.

  6. The Americans need to tell the Liberals to fckoff and specifically Juthtin to shut his lispy piehole and then fckoff. “We’ll deal with the Cons once they get into power”
Liberals: “But what if WE win the election!”
Americans: “Then we scorch the earth. Now fckoff.”

  7. It’s such a basic issue, yet, it’s dividing down political lines as usual.
Every city has its Drug Row, Homeless Shthole neighbourhood where the drug use is off the charts, tents, garbage and other detritus are strewn everywhere, where your local authorities appear to not care about enforcing any social order.
The left deludes themselves, believing that their precious leftist government is looking after the matter as best as they can, while also delusionally believing that these wretches have the right to behave as they do. After all, being a druggie zombie is a lifestyle choice, dontcha know?
We, the common sense crowd, see it as a lawless zone, where government aids and abets the zombie culture, while ignoring the laws of the land.
In any event, the fentanyl CRISIS, is in plain sight for all to see. The left is denying it, witness Carney’s ill-thought comment, it’s just another situation they monitor, move along, nothing to see here. They don’t want to solve it, it’s another opportunity to show “they care”, in a cynical, twisted way.

  8. I hate to break it to you Canada … but you’re just the middleman in the International Drug Trafficking War Trump is waging against Communist China. You’re just the “Dealer”. Trump is going after the Big Fish who owns and operates Canada.

Hence Antony Blinken meets with a small town BC Mayor … Trump meets with your deposed PM.

Trump’s Tariffs are taking dead aim at Communist China. Canada’s just the ChiCom’s Pusher-men, err Pusher-persons. Canada is just collateral damage. And you DO know how America doesn’t give two fkcus about collateral damage. Word to the wise … stop being the Pusher-nation.

  9. Don’t know anything about this Brosseau guy. But he made it to Deputy Commissioner rank in less than 20 years. That works out to one promotion every 2 years or so … one of the fastest ascensions since the crucifixion. He was either one hell of a Sherlock or damned good at making the bosses look good.

  10. Can someone please tell me why all senior RCMP officers are Liberals and when they retire all seem to get cushy retirement jobs with Liberal governments or Liberal party appointments. Anyone ever meta senior RCMP officer shows a conservative?
