    1. Yeah, that’s a strange one. The HMCS Ottawa was doing bi-lateral ops with the USS Higgins in the South China Sea mid-January. Apparently the Chinese Navy was messing with them a bit. But, that’s not unusual in those waters.

The Chinese Frigate, Yuncheng was following them around for a couple days and actually contacted them by radio asking for their coordinates because (according to the Chinese) “The sea is in poor condition today.” I’ll tell you what. If Lozer actually shared his coordinates with the Chinese Navy, I think that might be grounds for kicking his ass to the curb, and instituting a “no confidence.” Granted, there’s no implication of misconduct. But, it might be something they don’t want to advertise. Especially since they were doing joint maneuvers with the US Navy at the time.

    2. The story is, he let the crew drink at a Christmas party when at anchor. Some went too far and were charged. Instead of taking the charge like men, they ratted on the CO.

      1. That would be consistent with “no misconduct” such as being drunk and misbehaving himself, but “loss of confidence” in his judgement in letting the crew have too much to drink resulting in their misbehaviour.

  1. IN THE Old West the lost confidence in Trudeau would lead to a suitable branch!
Now there is no consequence and he prorogues parliament and flies off to Europe for a holiday! Estimated costs $918,000 for the stay —flight costs 12x $25,000= $300,000 Cost in Total =$1,218,000!!!!
Wondering what the working stiffs back in Canada get?

I would say I’ve loss confidence!

  2. Shades of the Caine Mutiny! In the military — don’t care if it’s Canadian, US or whatever — it takes a lot of cojones to call attention to the mental problems of a superior. Same in government.

  3. Q: Why can’t we do this with our prime minister?
A: Because our media, federal government and Justin Trudeau are profoundly corrupt.
