1. 670 billion I have no trouble believing and this will keep increasing until projects like Energy East and gateway are completed! This lost revenue will never be regained but establishing LNG terminals in the East and West will help!
   The Liberals, NDP, have ruined Canada!

   1. And did it with glee and sticky fingers. The liberals are a kleptocracy.

      Standing up is becoming necessary.

2. If you keep turning down projects, people quit asking. Under Harper, Canada had a higher GDP per capita than the US. Today it is down 40% relative to the US from 2013 or so.

3. Just think of what this would have done to the P number in GDP.
   Instead of being a declining laggard in productivity, Canada could have been a top performer.
   More money for health care.
   More disposable income for people to spend on other goods.
   Less money for Canada to have to borrow.
   Bill C-69 and all the roadblocks put up before and after it have done serious economic harm to Canada.

4. Mark Carney has said the current carbon tax is far too low.

   Meanwhile his company invests in oil and gas projects around the globe, just not in Canada.

   1. Carney has promised Net Zero Growth for Canada, Freeland is proposing to hide the carbon tax better so it’s not so obvious when you are paying it, and the rest don’t really matter.

      1. And I feel sure that if you look closely, under the Conservative government-to-be’s rug, you will find a carbon tax. I hope I am wrong.

5. To me it look like 670 billion reasons to vote the Liberal Party out of power, forever. What kind of federal government, who are supposed to be working in the best interests of its own citizens, intentionally sabotages their economy in this way?

6. L- Because that lost income would have generated major profits over time. The economic
   growth likely could have generated in excess of a trillion in economic growth.

   The underperformance of the Canadian economy leads to it being under valued. The foreign
   takeovers are the end part of a short selling strategy. Buy under valued distressed assets.
   Dougie Ford’s, “Canada is not for sale” hats are a joke. The sale is already arranged. The mass
   importation of cheap labour from the third world is just icing on the cake. Canadians (veiled
   in mind for docility. I can’t make out who bridegroom is, but the inscription on the cake is in mandarin.

   Sam Cooper isn’t on the guest list. I wonder why?

7. Well, the word trillion is now in our vocabulary. How many lies is the average canadian capable of believing in one lifetime? Apparently the number stretches way beyond infinity. That makes a trillion net zero.

11. I have a copy of the MacKenzie Valley Pipeline report. That pipeline was the best possible solution to landlocked Alberta energy.

    With that pipeline and a northern seaport and icebreakers, the North-West Passage would be opened, and also the Arctic resources, to the benefit of the Inuit and all other Canadians too. What a cowardly loss of will to fight foreign and suburbanite intervention in our future. Disgrace!
