    1. I liked her until I watched her video where she tries to explain global warming and never mentions water vapour (among other things). Just think, if particles with no mass can’t be observed traveling faster than light, how could humans travel faster than light. It’s a bit like the transporter on the Enterprise.

      1. Steve – I think she’s trying to monetize the ignorance of the masses. So far she seems to be succeeding. Some have said that dark matter or dark energy is composed of information. Maybe it’s tachyons or beings that only exist above the speed of light. We probably won’t know in our lifetimes but it’s fun to hear what people have to say who get paid to think about these things..

          His talk was banned from TED despite its popularity. I especially liked his comment on the “one miracle”. He commits the same sin as the science religionists he confronts (offering up more belief than evidence) but I don’t care. It’s a masterclass in persuasion, leaving you wondering … WTF?

          2. They have been measured many many times, by LIGO and at least 3 other detectors.

            Also, our best model of gravity says they move at the speed of light.
            So, strong physical evidence and theoretical evidence all says it moves at the speed of light. Casting aspersions on general relativity and/or detector technology is not evidence.

    Trump held a wide open round table conversation with citizens of Los Angeles today, to listen to their concerns about recovery from the (still burning) fires. This was a remarkable performance, when compared with the incompetent slug we struggled under for the last 4 years, who was wholly incapable, not just of engaging in this kind of interaction with citizens, but also of displaying empathy and concern of any kind.

  13. Shopping malls are much better than these shopping villages we have today. And much more environmentally friendly.

    1. Except unless you’re there to buy women’s clothes, women’s shoes or women’s fashion accessories there’s really no reason to go to a mall, at least none of the ones around me.

    2. I live in the interior of BC and our 70s mall is being converted into
      apartments for the upstairs portion. The mall backs onto the city park
      and I feel it could be a successful, attractive development.

      So far little work has happened as the local FN band is insisting on
      carrying out archeological surveys and is digging and screening all
      the dirt as we speak. I don’t think another Rosetta Stone has yet been
      found but then again they did not read nor write until, wait for it, the
      residential school was built?
