    1. PP asked him a question that he was afraid to answer. The truth is just the truth. Biology is not an abstract concept.

  1. Idiot journo’s angle was that PP will be exactly like Trump because he would acknowledge only two genders as well. PP also breaths and and drinks water and eats just like Trump and just like any other human actually. Like Hitler btw!

    1. And this is EXACTLY the theme of what the Liberals and progressive legacy media will be using and repeating about PP until the (who knows when) election; that PP is TRUMP!
I think we have found a knew mental illness: Trump Derangement Syndrome By Proxy.

    2. The Liberals will run the next election against Trump, not Poilievre and the Cons. You will get tired of hearing “Unite for Canada” from the faux-patriotic Liberals

  2. If a Democrat’s child says it is a cat, do Democrats surgically alter the child so it is visibly cat like?

I avoid Democrat politicians so I’m not familiar with their habits.

  3. It’s very difficult to argue against the “two genders” idea with Pierre. His parents divorced, and later on his father “came out” as a gay man, I think Pierre has thought those answers through already, a few times.

The media asking a question, and then being unable to say “what do you mean by that” with their query opens up to any number of gotcha questions for which there is rarely a right answer.

The Canadian media almost universally views Trump as being wrong on any topic. So to ask if … “do you agree with the President when he said that…” There’s no way to argue the point in the traditional sense.
It’s best to respond while eating an apple.

  4. PP’s response, while cute, is a weaselly answer. The fact is a large government bureaucracy has been created and an enormous number of tax dollars have been spent in Canada, based on the idea that there are more than two genders. Will a PP government end that?

    1. I thought it was an excellent answer.
He was looking for a “got-cha” answer to call PP Trump clone and instead he was faced with answering the question himself.
The urinallist also ducked the question by the way in case you think his answer sounded authentic.
“there are people who say……” is not an answer from him. It’s a deflection.

There are a lot of stupid people out there who are looking for a reason to hate PP so this type of question is going to pop up non stop until after the election.

          1. “What do you suggest he do?”

The ‘journalist’ gave him the perfect opening when he used the word “cis”. Poilievre should have called him out on that immediately, and announced that the future CPC government would be striking that word from any and all official government communications (along with several others).

          2. Ignoring the BS is a good idea and not allowing preferences for insanity any where in the government or the country.

          3. How about taking Trumps executive order, changing “or” to “our” where appropriate, and adopting it as party policy? A revolution is happening in the US – time to ride the wave!

          4. VOWG is right. You ignore it as you would ignore a dog turd in the streets. The key is not to be provoked by the legacy media into commenting on anything they want you to comment on. Never, never, never give them an inch. Pierre dealt with that as well as possible.

          5. Cgh, agreed, jurnaljizmers do not get to define the terms of engagement. What PP has done was just about perfect.

    2. DCH, you are partially – partially (20%?) correct in saying that PP’s response is a “weaselly-answer” because he could have discussed the topic more head-on; however his faux-naif response is VERY effective (I’ve seen Peterson and Musk, as well as Tom Wolfe use it with great success, so he’s joining some v. good company).

The other 80% of his answer I find amazing because unless the Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto axis of Political Consultants (read: bloviating, bubble-dwelling, fart-catching, big-fish-in-a-small-pond-dwelling know-nothings, virtually unemployable in any other capacity) has changed, PP’s answer here is not typical of the scripted response that your stock, timid, MSM-prostrating, “don’t-ruffle-any-feathers-or-offend anyone” Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto political consultant class-captured “conservative” candidate would have.

“So, is PP going to do anything to stop the gender nonsense?” VERY good question.

The ”journalist” – whomever his nonentity is – is a buffoon transparently trying to play “gotcha!” What a loser.

Of course – OF COURSE – vitally 100% of Canadians know that there are only two genders but many, perhaps a majority are too frightened to say so because they are supine moral cowards – a national ladies book club/sewing circle of pusillanimous, Overton window-compliant, permission-seeking, rule-following, social ostracism-fearing, neighbour-tattling, small-souled milksops, skirt-clinging ‘fraidy-cats and other assorted namby-pambies.

My God, people are such f@cking sheep!!

      1. Didn’t Justin Trudeau’s step daddy say that the government has no business in the nation’s bedrooms?

Mind you, there was a HUGE sex/spy scandal involving the federal Liberal party at the time in the late 1960’s when Pierre Trudeau was the Justice Minister, so there is that!

        1. I’ve SEEN some of these gender-bender Queers!! And I personally don’t want to get within a quarter mile of their bedrooms. And I’ll even PAY for a good set of window shades for them. Yes. Please keep it closeted. And don’t you dare bring it to my children’s schools.

      2. “The ”journalist” – whomever his nonentity is – is a buffoon transparently trying to play “gotcha!” What a loser.”

He should have been challenged for his use of the word “lockstep” as well….

      3. No topic to discuss , the mentally ill need treatment. As I and others have said biology is not an abstract concept.

        1. “No topic to discuss , the mentally ill need treatment. As I and others have said biology is not an abstract concept.”

Yeah, Poilievre could have mentioned that…but thinking about it now, he probably just didn’t want dignify the question by answering it. He did much the same thing while eating an apple that time…

    3. we can only and if you think there are more than two genders, you are as dumb as that reporter. Next time you read the bible please tell us what section refers to multiple genders

  5. I am tired of the use of “gender” when used to argue that there are only 2 “genders.”
There are only 2 sexes, male and female. Genders are made up by silly and/or perverted people.
    To wit:
Sex refers to biological differences (chromosomal, hormonal, reproductive).
Gender refers to socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities, and expectations associated with femininity and masculinity. It encompasses a person’s identities, expressions, and societal roles.

    1. Language is flexible. Today gender means sex and as you say there are only two. Do not attempt to cloud the truth with language.

      1. When you use the enemy’s language, you concede half the battle before it’s even begun. The notion of “gender” distinct from biological sex is a fabrication by the PDF file psychologist John Money, whose much-vaunted experiment resulted in the suicides of both subjects.

What’s not being reported about Trump’s EO is that includes a directive to stop referring to “sex” as “gender” in all federal communication. He knows what the purpose of that misdirection is.

        1. Hence the word “trans” is nonsensical, and I always put it in quotes as nobody can transition from one biological reality to another. No matter how many body parts Dr. Mengele slices off or hormonally mangles.

These people are mental cases, and should be under intensive psycho-therapy

          1. Trans is a mere prefix meaning beyond, across, or through.
Language is important, and the tower of Babel is a cautionary tale.

          2. “Hence the word “trans” is nonsensical, and I always put it in quotes as nobody can transition from one biological reality to another. ”

Same here, Kenji. Likewise for “homophobia”…fear of ‘the same’? The same what? The same breakfast cereal every morning? Fear of other humans?

          3. Stevie … they’re using it as far more than a prefix. It’s their entire identity.

          4. kenji,
Yes, far more than a prefix, and more like a pretext.
Hey, next time you visit Vernon, let me know. I’ll buy you a large beer.
I live 30 minutes south of Vernon.

          5. Stevie I’ll absolutely take you upon the offer. Was gonna be there for Christmas again this year, but decided to stick close to home because we had too much going on. Anyone who goes from “prefix” to “pretext” as effortlessly as you is definitely beer worthy.

And 30 min. south of Vernon is where the rich people live … in Kelowna and Penticton … so I’m IN! Rumor has it that my favorite vocalist of all time Paul Rogers lives with his fashion model wife in Kelowna … though he may have been burned out last year. I hope not.

          6. And BTW Stevie … I missed out this last Christmas on a trip to the Mission Hill Family Estate winery, in Kelowna … which the photos indicated rivals the BEST of the wineries in Napa. Most impressive. So I would have been right in your neighborhood it seems?

        2. I first learned about John Money in Miriam Grossman’s “Lost in Trans Nation.” The evil that men do. The book is a good read, even if you don’t have a child caught up in all the gender insanity. Heartbreaking at times, as well as maddening.

          1. My best friends adorable daughter … who has always been jussssst slightly … well … odd. Decided she didn’t want to be any gender … started breast binding … and changed her name to ‘Felix’. Yeah. Sad.

Thus far her mother has prevented her from doing any permanent damage to her body. This whole mind worm needs to be exterminated.

  6. The desk idiot doesn’t even realize he’s been programmed by Leftwing nutjobs.
Somebody should offer him a rope and a free knot-tying lesson.

    1. Oh yeah, he realizes it, he just thinks it is a sure fire entry to the Librano Fart Catchers Club, or mainstream media if you like. Totally oblivious to the sea change going on around him. Americans have been given permission to tell the truth again, Canadians are getting ready for theirs.

  7. Just like how the word “gay” was hijacked, “gender”, which used to be a synonym for “sex”, is suffering the same fate. Hijack a word so it eventually becomes mainstream.

Jordan Peterson said it best when he said this whole transgender issue boils down to one word: fashion.

    1. People used to sometimes use the word “gender” instead of “sex”, because of the connotation of the word “sex” meaning sexual activity, intercourse. It was more polite to use the word “gender” when referring to male & female so everyone would know you weren’t talking smut.

But in reality, “gender” is a grammatical term. There are 3 genders, masculine, feminine and neutral. The words “he, him, his” are masculine gender. “she, her, hers” are feminine gender, and “It’s, their, they, them” are neutral gender.

That’s it, no more. If you make anything else up it’s invalid, because those masculine and feminine genders refer to sex and there are only two sexes, and everyone is either one or the other, no matter if their tendencies are gay, straight or bi. One’s sex cannot be changed. You can pretend to be the opposite sex, but you can never be the opposite sex.

  8. This is a good answer, but do not let the CPC off the hook for allowing the legislation banning “conversion therapy” to pass Parliament with UNANIMOUS consent. A broad reading of that legislation can mean that if you tell your daughter that she is and always will be a girl, when she tries to tell you that she’s meant to be a boy, you’re committing an offense. You’re trying to “convert” her from her stated gender preference.

And the CPC fought that not. one. bit. Too scared of being called homophobes and transphobes by the press.

While I do hope PP is taking notes from Trump about how to move fast & furious ASAP upon taking office, there’s still more than a whiff of Red Tory about the CPC. We had nine years of Harper and all that got us was a decade of Trudeau.

    1. ” … but do not let the CPC off the hook for allowing the legislation banning “conversion therapy” to pass.”

Indeed. It amazes me how selective the memories of Conservative voters can be.

    2. Oh toole, the pied piper of homosexual libraries was the leader then skippy. He also demanded 100% caucus dissapline under his liberal leadership. Seriously the guy was a liberal party cheer leader and still loves Trudeau and somehow he got “elected” leader.

  9. “As far as I’m concerned, we should have a government that minds it’s own damned business and leaves people alone.”
    MCGA!

  10. People who doubt polievre will suffer the consequences. His biggest doubter at the moment appears to be naek Carney and his band of retarded media boot kicking scumbags. A blood bath is coming for them and it’s well deserved. I just hope he’s as vindictive as trump is.

      1. the anchor’s name is Phil Perkins. He started off at CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario and thinks that now he is on CTV that he has made itto the big league.

        1. And perhaps he has. But the question is – in what sport? The answer may not be the one he’d bargained for.

  11. Here’s a thought
These “gotcha” questions being asked of Poilievre are the same ones the liberals hope Carney doesn’t get asked.
