Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Great Rush connection there.
My first Rush concert December 31, 1978. 46th anniversary coming up in a couple of days. And yes, they played The Trees.
Mine was in Birmingham Odeon England 1981,watched Geddy Lee and a bonus Alex Lifeson in Portsmouth Guildhall last December on his book tour which was 3 hours well spent.
“Climb up and get me, coppers!”
Right? First thing I asked myself, are they going to climb up or cut down the tree?
Not quite in the same league, but I met a nice lady in her 80’s at the local regional district park last year who told me about her adventure with the Parks Officers.
She was collecting a few , as in a couple of handfuls, of ponderosa pine needles from the forest floor, to make decorations for fireplace mantels and wreaths.
A Parks officer saw her and told her to immediately cease and desist, and told her if she didn’t put the pine needles back NOW, she would be fined $160. She of course complied.
Ironically, it is the accumulation of those pine needles on the forest floor that acts as a fire starter and accelerant in the annual forest fire season.
She was in her own small way doing the Park a favor, but officialdom didn’t see it that way.
Morons.
I think they fear a modern day Robin Hood is rising.
Just like the King, to make a new law to criminalize the tree dwellers for fear of being robbed of their precious gold (control).
So climbing arborists won’t be able to try new gear and practice before showing up on a work site and everybody including the ground crew are on the clock, because Gubmint.
Where’s Oliver Cromwell when you really, really need him to smack down a thoroughly stupid and corrupt government?
He’s there, you may be sure. We just don’t know his name yet.
It ain’t Farage.
“The Trees”? I don’t see a forest in that…
I believe the Forest (sp?) Service must affix WARNING labels on every tree in the forest (sp?) … advising children not to climb trees lest they risk falling and hurting themselves. Each sign must be in bright red and yellow with a font no less than 72pt. Safety FIRST!! Competency and common sense LAST.
More stupid in a world of stupid.
